The HD version of the video is taking forever to encode on YT's end, so it might not be available for the early-birds. Sorry for the inconvenience, but a 20 minute wait should resolve it.
This is off topic for the episode but I've not seen anyone explore this possibility and I feel like a moron for not thinking of it myself since Kristy dissected that chump that Boyd wacked with the blood worms: The monsters are all dry inside. They're desiccated. Okay, fine. I'm wondering now how the monsters react to water, particularly if waterr is forced down their gullets.
Interesting! I hadn't thought of that, but yeah that could be the case. Water could be a weakness or worse, for them. Water keeps coming up in some obvious but also subtle ways (the kimono lady watery hands, the lake at the cabins, Ethan's fairytale, etc). Maybe it's time they find out if these ghouls can swim!
1. Randall and Julie were drawn back to the ruins by From's dark entity. 2. Victor will get Jasper to talk, but maybe not until the final episode. and 3. I wish Tilly had minded her business more. She meant well but also had more knowledge about Fromville and Fatima than she led on. I think she saw the tarot card and knew something was wrong with Fatima. Sacrificing herself to be killed accelerated Fatima's plight and transformation. I think that was no accident on Tilly's behalf.
Hearing Tillie explain how she's already grieved for her life before they arrived in Fromville made me realize that's why she stands out from the rest of them. her actions and emotions were always sus to me because it wasn't how a normal person would act once they found out they would be declared dead among friends - but to Tillie this wasn't news to her since she got her diagnosis. I also think that is why you associated John Locke from Lost with her. As for Fatima, I think every time she or someone goes on to explain the "cravings" she's been having, they do a cutaway. Maybe this is obvious: she hasn't mentioned the blood cravings to anyone, right? They're only talking about the rotting food part. Otherwise, I think they'd be a lot more concerned than they are now. I'm afraid Fatima will wait until it's too late to be honest with them. As for Victor and the puppet, I'm really excited to see where the writers will go with that one. It really comes down to how sci-fi Fromville is and where the line is drawn. Do puppets talk, or will it be Victor's subconscious? If you help a ghost, will you escape? When you remember a night terror, will it come true??? I don't think this episode was "worse" than the others, but the last one was just so awesome that perspectively this episode had to set more dominos up to be knocked down later. Damn I love this. i can't wait for you to recap the new severance season !
End of vid questions: 1. Don't know, but I'm uncomfortable with the loose end that is Martin. 2. Japser will speak and it'll be a mixed bag. He'll provide valuable information but also cause harm with his words. 3. I've never bought into the Tillie-is-sketchy idea. I see even less reason to now.
Not sure how canonical it is but a behind the scenes photo mgm posted had the first card visible and it was the Page of Swords. That might mean absolutely nothing since it's not shown in the actual show though
Oh hey, another off topic thing....The "bar"(gas station) in town has a public pay phonebooth outside it that looks like it's in decent shape and would probably work if the town wasn't in the middle of a magic country. We all know that those booths have phone books in them. I wonder what the townies could learn from that phone book? Has anyone picked the phone up and tried it?
Definitely worth seeing what the name of the town is from the phone book. Another weird thing, in line with the motel sign and pool which would never be placed on the roadside like that is the barber's striped pole outside Colony House. Back in Civil War days, that was also the sign for a doctor or surgeon.
@@markkuykendall5475 Did you notice that the metal teapot and yellow wildflowers from the folding table in the monster tunnels where Jasper was sitting were also used by Tilly in Colony House to make tea for Fatima? She even put the flowers in a little vase for her and the camera focuses right on them for a second. I don't think we've seen the last of that old woman.
1. I think there are 2 Randalls. When he runs off into the woods after the cicada attack, you hear his voice say "go home" How? Julie can't drive stick. 2. I think Victor will have a nervous breakdown it will cause Henry to repeat what he said to Donna. Jasper will not talk. 3. Tillie is still sus. I think she was gonna help Fatima terminate the "pregnancy"
I don’t think tillie was a mole but I definitely think she knew more. Didn’t the tarot cards tell her she’d end up in fromville or maybe I’m misremembering?!
Man, I was not on the "Tillie is evil" bus, but this episode changed that for me. Her final line implies she knows something beyond what she should. There is definitely more to her than how she presented herself.
I think Victor will remember that it wasn't Jasper telling Christopher to kill everyone, but his own mother Miranda. That's why he blocked out the memory - because his mom is/was the big bad of the massacre.
There are two things that I think are likely to happen before the end of the season: 1) Fatima is going to get her Armani sweater back from Julie. We know that monsters have an attachment to items, and that is the only item that I can recall Fatima being attached to. 2) I think we'll find out that Marielle is the (or at least a) mole. She has been really sus this season - pretending like the cicada thing didn't happen, Nicky's mysterious death after being stabilized, followed by her thinking that Randal was asking if she was ok because of that, the mysterious meds she gave Fatima and Randal, etc. Also, upon rewatching the season, I've noticed that there are a lot of shots that put much emphasis on the characters drinking tapwater. Makes me wonder if something is in that stuff. Edit: I'm also wondering if Victor is going to end up hanging himself (possibly because he thinks it will save the town), given all the shots of him with that big creepy rope in his bedroom.
@@Parmenedes It's definitely something I've noticed as well. Victor didn't have it hanging and ready to use prior to the invasion, but it's still up now. Maybe it will come into play again. But I doubt Victor will use it to off himself.
This is their worst rated episode and I agree with that vote. So boring and seems like they are creating new questions without ever answering the ones they created ages ago. Where's the boy in white these days? And where is that dog? 🤷🏻♀️
I think it would be in the best interest of the story, and the sanity of the writers, to stick to 2 or 3 threads and ride them out for the entire season. The constant jumping around has to be hard to wrangle into something coherent.
Tilly was just a nosey lonely lady at the end of her life. She just wanted to serve others. I believe the cicadas and the force that pulled Julie and Randall into the forest are all the same thing, just different forms. Let's not forget "Lost." There were endless mysteries on the island that were interconnected. Let's just hope they lead us somewhere this time.
1. I am not sure if we will have another cicada monster appearance but there is more to the story when it comes to three people who were affected. So far Randal looks like he is in worst shape of all. 2. I am not really too interested in Jasper. It might turn out to be jump the shark moment for me but for now I am waiting for it to play out. It feels like one of town's weird voices like Jim's phone call and radio call,Sara's voices, kimono lady...they are unreliable narrators and I think they are like Martin - manipulative and with hidden agenda. Most probably leading to another new horror or just more people dying. 3. Never thought Tilly is anything more than a cooky old lady.
Regarding Jasper; I think that's likely what it is. I think he's one of the many voices/visions that torment the townies. I think the entity might speak through the doll to mess with the victim.
lol. Nah, Tillie is still super sus. She showed up and started dancing in the rain while panic set into the rest of her group - as they realized they were trapped. Like, read the room. How did she know Fatima was pregnant, if Fatima isn't actually pregnant, at least not with a human? I think they portrayed her as super sus as a misdirect, or they chose to kill her to avoid following through on the storyline.
@WineandFrom I'm sick of them always using their emotions and never any reasoned thought or logic, but that can be said about everyone there really but their's is especially bad
The show is suffering from Walking Dead Syndrome - the writers have all these characters and keep having them drama talk in groups of two. Somehow Victor will leave jasper alone for Jade to happen upon - Jasper will tell something to Jade, but no one else will be present. Where is the boy in white lately? haven't seen him since Tabitha got back!?
Agreed. If they stuck to a few threads but included and limiting things to pairings, the story would flow much better. Each story arcs inches forward, and that usually doesn't go over well with an audience unless the circumstances are compelling enough, like say GoT.
Tillie is a weird one. part of me thinks she's a mole, part of me always felt like she was kind of an audience insert? Maybe both? Something was definitely always off with her. I don't think it's meaningless. I wonder if she intended to provoke fatima in order for fatima to flee and maybe continue her transformation.
Pretty disappointed with the episode overall. This was the first time I felt like an episode wasted my time for the most part. The ending was the most exciting part and then it, well, ended. Hoping the next episode gives us more.

I believe that the water in fromville like the lakes and rivers are the way out of the town.
'Don't go chasing waterfalls' starts playing on the jukebox
