    Surprised you didnt cut the boards a bit short, width wise, and put some foam between each board section..
    After I got my P1S, I built a little end table from IKEA () and put the printer on it and ran a few jobs... It looked and felt like an earthquake at higher speeds. I got some rubber/EVA center anti-vibration pads about 2" x 2" x 7/8" meant as an isolation damping pad for air compressors, air conditioners, treadmills and washers... It has helped quite a bit, but not fully eliminated the shakes. Pretty sure this was before BL had their dedicated anti-vibration feet made for each printer

    Great content!! Just starting my business and have gained some very valuable tools and insights from your videos. I've watched many videos on the topic about settings to reduce the waste 4 different ways (also to those who don't know yet). 1. Print multiple prints to have only 1 set of color changes. 2. Separate colors (obvious) 3. there are a few settings that allow you to print the waste into the infill of the object instead of just waste. And 4. a setting to just reduce the amount of extruded waste (depending on colors used as not to bleed into the others.) Just some research options i just learned about before I get my printer. Thanks again Macy

    Use a 'master' PVC pipe set at a 30-degree angle to collect all the poop into a single box. Make a hole in the top of the PVC pipe to connect the chute extension. This way, you'll need less extension, reducing the weight, with the PVC pipe supporting part of it.

    Hi Macy, great video!! I used the same units attached to the chute with magnets, issue I had was that the waste would jam up in that unit before even going into the tube. I created an open bin that tapers into a tube that I attached a paper mailing tube (cheap!) dropping into a large box (2 x1c). Works great as no jams or backups yet!

    If you want to avoid vibration even more.. Bambu Lab sells those rubber shock absorbers for the printers. They work wonders! I have 2 printers right next to eachother on the same shelf and they do not interfere with eachother. Also the vibration to the shelf itself is minimized.

    Hey Macy, we are all becoming big fans. You are very likable and sweet, which is why it’s a pleasure to follow your progress. I am a big fan of Shop Nation/3D Print Farm Academy. He is one impressive young man. I’m wondering if there are gaps between your boards or not. Perhaps if there is no gap and the edges touch, they will still transfer the vibration to each other. He has gaps between his. Perhaps I’m wrong. As for the spool holder and especially if you’re running PETG, you’re far better off running it from a filament dryer. You will not have any feeding issues and drying PETG is essential in getting good prints. BTW, if you have not tried it yet, the BAMBU PETG HF, runs at the speed of PLA and gives you perfect prints so long as it’s dried. Looking forward to your next video.

    • @macymakes3d
      @macymakes3d  2 місяці тому

      Thanks for all the tips! I’ll check and see if I can add a slight gap to the boards and see if it helps :) and yes I’m definitely going to try to run a filament dryer for the single color printer setup. Sounds like the easiest option!

    Since your printer rack is close to the wall, you can put some 2x4's between the main shelf supports and the wall. These can be a foot or so long or run a long 2x4 the length of the shelf. If you can attach them to a stud in the wall that's the best way. Use some washers and screws to secure the rack to the 2x4's. It's what I did and it prevents the entire shelf from moving with vibrations.
    I have some P1S's and some A1's. The P1S's really create a lot of vibration compared to the A1's. Also if you were looking for a solution to use filament that doesn't fit in the AMS, the A1's are that solution. Cheers!

    So I tried the spool holder you have and it sagged a bit more than I liked, I also tried one that has the PTFE tube holder. I ended up printing the AMS riser V2 which has slots on the sides to add accessories. I must say the spool holder on the side of that is solid. I even printed out the 608 bearings from a file on Maker world. This would also come in handy later for adding another AMS. It also has space to store the glass lid and 2 extra build plates.

    Yo macy! Love your vids. I got something you can do with the single spool. You're using petg right? It loves sucking in water and ruining prints so if you got a sunlu spool dryer they have it where it keeps it dry and also has an exit so you can run the spool directly from the unit. I think I would consider adding 2 more brackets on the new racking (presuming there is a stud between each one you used)....I haven't seen how the brackets are designed, but it looks like you will get 20-25 rolls on it which is over 50lbs. Not sure I would trust that to 3 brackets, especially if they are PLA. Would hate to see a future video where you report that one came crashing down onto your shipping station, or even worse, onto you! Adding more just seems like cheap insurance.

    Why not use the poop for packing materials for your shipping?

    • @macymakes3d
      @macymakes3d  Місяць тому

      Too heavy. My prints ship at right under 12oz and the next price point for USPS is 13oz so I try to stay under that weight to save a little on shipping cost.

    I've been trying to find a video to explain it -- what do you do with the weights?

      They're for young kids to be able to workout with their parents without worrying about the heavy weights. Mainly for CrossFit.

    What happened to the A1 printer?

    • @macymakes3d
      @macymakes3d  2 місяці тому +1

      I sold it a week or 2 after I bought it. It was a good printer but I didn't have the space for it and the workflow in Bambu Studio slowed me down more than I wanted.

    Poop chute looks cool but personally a complete waste as a simple pipe would do the same thing, Yes your using a lot of bits and pieces of filament but surely you could of used them for other things no? Anyhow, love your videos, All very interesting and insightful.

      Poop Chutes or other things... what difference does it make? They got used.

    • @TechieNI
      @TechieNI 2 місяці тому

      @@rijlqanturis625 The difference is that it could be used for something more beneficial as you clearly seen in the video that is a flawed design which is also pointed out in some of the reviews of the chute. Just seems a massive waste for something she may have to replace anyhow. But hey opinions are like butts. Everyone has one.
