- We attempt to start the 1980 Chevy Luv truck that's been sitting in a junkyard for 25 years.

I still have my 4x4 80 luv. Bought it brand new for $3,700.00. Its got 420k miles on it. Replaced the clutch and fuel pump once. That's it. Love my luv!

Hey, I have done it too but cleaning the plugs with a wire brush will leave metal particles embedded in the porcelain around the electrode and cause erratic sparking from the plugs, never thought about this before but I saw or read it on you tube and it makes sense if you think about it! The porcelain is like a sharpening stone and takes off tiny particles of metal as the brush passes over the porcelain!

Take it out of there, put the stock wheels and tires on it, fix it up and sand her down and paint this little girl a nice color, she'll make a good daily driver to drive around town or to get to and from work.
