I always like Slicks attitude. Whether it's a truck stuck in the mud, or a caved in quarter panel. Dude just shrugs it off. He's just down to get after it.
Oh man, this reminds me of me and my friends around 16 17 years old. LOL. Our first trucks, out trying to out do each other and not one of us had the trucks to do what we were trying. GREAT MEMORIES. One big difference is it wasn't our land and it was dark most of the time. Thanks for taking me back for a minute guys. :)
My dad had one of these as his "spare" truck. I learned to drive in it and drove it to school. I grew up in winter ice and snow and that thing went everywhere. It was like a little tank. I loved it, but it was so SLOW on the highway. lol
@@NoReverse77 Lawton had some huge hail. Thankfully we didn't get anything like that at our place between Edmond and Guthrie. Hope you guys came out okay too.
Those luv trucks look to be the early model holden Rodeo here in Australia. They all have awesome isuzu engines. I have a 98 rodeo with the 6vd1 isuzu and they are crazy reliable and the diesels even more so. They never stopped and thus we now have the isuzu dmax. Awesome trucks that never get the respect they deserve. Luvin it
I would definitely go with the (semi float 14 bolt rear end) for the Travelall. It has a 9.5in ring gear and I’d say it’s perfect for what you have going on. They come in a lot of different year trucks and suburbans. So you should be able to find one fairly easy. Should also have disc brakes on the the newer models. That will be a good video! Hopefully you can track 1 Down.
Let's face it: Puddin' just wants to be as cool as Slick-50, and that's why he really bought the Brother Luv's Traveling Salvation 4 by 4. I was watching you standing knee deep in that water thinking "Bet you wish you had some WD-40 right about now, because that's what it's really good for."
Pot County Thor haha, Happy Fathers Day! I noticed a guy way out here in southern Az with one of your shirts yesterday. Had to talk to him.Thank you for what you guys do.
We all have rough days Puddin. At least you were able to laugh about it and had a couple of buddies to help out. Keep being you Puddin and stay healthy!
Very nice find there puddin. Really cool looking. Can't wait to see more videos soon my friend. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
What a HOOT!!! The young man you bought that little Luv from did a real sweet job matching the stripes on the seat cover....you be sure to mail him whatever stickers you forgot because this video was a blast!! Just when we think the old Towrolla has given her all, she finds a way to give just a little more. She's deep through the heart for sure! One of the unsung heroes on this channel. Can you get a transport tag for Wlima and DRIVE her to the new place?
Best ever, thank you ! My 1st NEW vehicle was a red 79 Luv 4x4. I proceeded to install a body lift, white spokes and oversized tires (15 inch?) and then mounted a 7 ft plow on it. So many adventures, sadly no video then ... but I have pics, for a slideshow and some stories. Stay tuned.
@@rockkhound943 Sorry baby, did you get excited thinking puddin responded? 😣Poor lil man! When you comment in public comment section brace yourself, people......might comment. 🎉🎉🎉
After you crossed that little creek twice i had a feeling u get stuck if you kept messing around. Reason I say that is because that is exactly what I would have done. That was some good stuff man and I had a good laugh.
Puddin hope your watching the weather. If you haven't already consider Ryan hall y'all on UA-cam you should he is live now. Love the content keep on bringing it buddy.
😂 This was great! When the towrolla got stuck I said this is escalating quickly lol. Good times and great friends. Now bust out the square body and show that mud hole who's boss!
My GF's sister had a Luv back in the 90's. My understanding is it was basically bondo and plywood from about the bottom of the doors down. The floors were wood, too. lol
Man.. I hope you find a ramp truck and really bring it back to life. The whole kit and caboodle. I feel like it'll be very useful for you. Also, a decent thermo cup would probably be helpful too lol.
Puddin, I just watched LT"s garage. He's building a Chevy Luv. He said he's got parts that he'll never use and he just wants to give them away. Just thought you or fitty might be interested!!
It like it is, geeze whizz it looks good the way it already is. Love small trucks, wish they would manufacture them once again. Gas is going back up in price, again.
6:19 An old school quadrajet 350, 5-speed stick, and some automatic valving/onboard compressor would do Edna some good by the sounds of things. I'm strongly considering putting helper airbags on the back of my 85 F150 for the same reason you have them on Edna, though I'm not lowering it and I'll be making it fully automatic with the compressor driven off the engine. Just have a switch on my dash to enable or disable the air system, run on the leaf springs until I tow something then flip that switch and the helper bags kick in.
Nothing says Oklahoma better than taking a truck you just winched out of a hole because it flooded out and driving it straight back to the hole to try it again WITHOUT doing anything to resolve the water ingestion issue. Slick said it all in three words. Try it again? Great video Puddin.
love this one! I have a diesel 79 luv 4x4 are in Australia so loved seeing this one in action! I used to have a jackaroo (trooper I think you called them there in America) was a petrol 4x4 with the same engine used to do the same when it even sniffed water near the dizzy, I ended up converting to electronic ignition (petronix I think) and made sure the dizzy cap sealed really well. fixed the problem till I drove through a creek that the water was hitting the windscreen! drowned it good and proper!
Puddin I am rolling on the floor with you getting the towrolla and the luv stuck 🤣🤣 I don’t want to say for your safety please please please put something over the rope, chain or cable you’re pulling with next time. Even if it’s just a hoodie, I would hate to see one breaking and coming through the back glass and hurting you! It was very entertaining watching your escapades lmao but I I was clenching my butt watching you yank that rope without something over it. Keep the videos coming 💪🏼🇺🇸

Exactly what my lil Suzi motor sounded like when it done a head gasket between 2 an 3 leaking compression between the two cylinders so none of the usual water in the oil or steam out the exhaust hence it sounding like a tractor. Time for a rebuild and a turbo show the crossing who's boss haha love the content puddin
I have the same year and model like that, she's white. She needs some love too. Was my Dad's, he rebuilt the motor and some other stuff. Well be passing it on to my daughter. Since I can no longer drive it. But yeah, enjoyed your video and you gained a subscriber. Can't wait to see what happens
Spent many miles in one of those as a little one in the late 70s early 80s. Had a camper shell and I remember crawling back and forth thru the sliding back glass. On trips from Kansas to Arkansas and beyond.
I just put a Ford 9 inch in a 68 IH truck cuz we couldn't get brake parts. The older Ferd rear end is only about a 1/4 inch narrower than the stock IH. No mods needed to make fit, and the same bolt pattern.
my dad's owned a 72 luv for 30 years, after his step father didn't need it. he did a money shift one day, grenaded it, and rebuilt the motor himself. and it ran for a long time like that until the frame literally rusted in half one day. so then we spent a summer welding steel into it and he used it for a bunch more years. drug home a lot of car parts from the yard in that thing
7:34 went up to Elgin today on a couple deliveries and did the SAME DANG THING saw an old dentside F250 Supercab in one pasture and a square body Suburban in another and missed BOTH my turns, had to double back twice
I think the best part of this video, all of it was cool, but what really stood out was when you were in a bind, you had friends you could call on and they came through. What could be looked at as a tough situation just turned into a good time with good friends. 💯

Puddin learned first rule of new 4x4 owner. You think it’s stuck just try to drive it out😂. Sometimes 4wd helps dig it in more. But it is addicting.
Lowering the tyre pressure would probably have helped a lot! I’m glad you had a lot of fun playing in the mud
Possible but think dug himself in rather than just putting it in low and crawling out
New carb and a fresh tune up and back to the creek we go!
