Agree with you on the Ultrafly. Great shoe for long runs and awesome cushion. Not for racing in my opinion. Love running in it 💯
Yeah, always tricky with trail shoes depending on the route etc
The Peregrine 13ST was quite effective on soft roads such as mud and fallen leaves, and I was able to run strongly even though my feet would have gotten stuck. However, I ended up slipping quite a bit on the wet rocks and smooth wet dirt slopes along the river! Regular Peregrine 13 has fine lugs and many contact points, so it seems good for wet and hard footing.
Sure, so many options for trail shoes and it’s so personal as to what suits your local trails best. Of course, the choice can change depending on the weather too!

Hi there! I do mix of road and trail run. Depends on the session. So two questions: 1. Would you recommend to have two different shoes for my road sessions? 2. Our trails are not very technical. There are sections of asphalt and also to reach the forest/hills, I do need to run thru the town over road. What you suggest? Thank you so much! Oh and my road shoes have been traditionally ASICS gel kayano :)

Generally speaking trail shoes are neutral, but try the Brooks Caldera, it’s deep midsole cushion ‘wraps up around the rear foot’ and provides very good general stability. 👍
5 -10 k distance shoe to accommodate potential Achilles Tendonitis. Any recommendations please

Usual it’s a pronation issue causing the problem so go for a stable shoe and one with higher heel drop. It’s very difficult to say to be honest and you should seek professional advise on the first instance from a physiotherapist that has experience with athletes.
