Try cutting the mirror from the back. Learned that as a finish carpenter

Brilliant project will defo try partly because jump rings are my nemesis and there are none here. Also it would be my first project using mirror and so I appreciate your tips for that too. Really helpful tutorial and encouragement. Thank you, from Glasgow, Scotland

I started soldering my project. It will be an air plant holder. I am going to try to finish it this weekend. I will find a way to show you the final piece.

Thanks for this mirror video. I have had 50-50 success with the “big bad black” showing up, sometime days after the project has been completed so I’m really gunshy. So many good pieces of advice, So much insecurity on my part.

Yea I've avoided mirrors for this reason too but hopefully this will fix that problem going forward. I hope it works for you too! 🤙

hello! I found your videos recently and love them so much. Your work is beautiful. I was hoping you could answer a question. I am learning how to do this with old glass and tools that were in the family. I have issues with the tape peeling off the glad after soldering. I try to polish, clean and rub the tape on as much as I can. I was wondering if maybe older take doesn't adhere well. or if take can be ruined somehow.

Hi it sounds like the tape you have is old and isn't sticking anymore. It does have a shelf life and the adhesive is best with a newer roll of foil. If the glass is clean and dry, the foil should stick well to it.

You are adorable! I'm super happy about your success. You deserve it. Cheers and here is to another 25K! I'm going to try one of these pyramids. I'm going to add glass marbles and then close it completely. I think it would look cool. Please keep up with your videos, I totally enjoy your channel. I think I became a sub just after you started making videos. I hope you blow up and can quit your day job! Wouldn't that be great! 😉😊 Your friend from Washington State 😃 🌲🌲🌲
Oh, I forgot... can you show us how to make a stained glass 3D paper folding crane? No paper, just glass. It looks like a good beginner project with all straight lines. The paper crane meaning is, Peace. November has a peace day and I think these would be fun to make and use as Christmas gifts. I know you are a busy Dad and husband but if you could find the time, I think it would be awesome! Thanks for all you do!

So, since this is a transparent piece, doesn't waxing make the glass look a little dull and greasy? Also, when keeping live plants in it, it will need to be cleaned regularly. Does cleaning it with soap wash the wax off the solder? If yes, what would be best for cleaning it that isn't harmful to the plants? Asking this because I want to build a plant terrarium (Wardian case) for tropical orchids myself.
