This was probably my only gripe with the game (besides the online). I wish they gave some kinda alternate ending where if you donate enough money the gang gets to leave for tahiti; they don't even have to succeed in leaving, could get caught or the ship sinks or something so u continue the game (mostly) normally
There really should’ve been a secret ending where if you donate enough money you can just go to Tahiti, or maybe Arthur could’ve just abandoned the gang and left on his own randomly
I actually wish they had made an alt ending where the gang goes off to live free somewhere if you were to do this. Just a tiny cutscene of them living on some island with a final few quips exchanged between Arthur and Dutch.
I get that you really can't change the story of the game but come on no matter how much money is in that bucket Dutch is still complaining about not having money I always donate plenty to the camp in my playthroughs and honestly it just makes Dutch more annoying and the cut scenes when he's talking about money
Specifically when I just donate like a hundred or so dollars and in my act of walking away they say "wow arthur do you even help us here anymore ? " and I was so angry I just ran back over to The ledger and looked at all the money I've given compared to everyone else. One of my biggest gripes with the game is if you're going to have a world and put me in it, it better notice that I'm there doing stuff
I stopped donating for some time because i was gone hunting for a few days. Came back to Ms. Grimshaw saying she noticed i stopped putting in the money. Put 1000 dollars in the box. Happy now Ms. Grimshaw???
Devs should have put a secret ending here. If you put a certain amount of money the game gets a non-canon ending where they all leave for Tahiti, forcing you to start over in Colter.

THATS WHAT I LIKE TO SEE?!?! Dutch should've told the whole camp to pack up and get on a boat to Tahiti right there and then, what's wrong with this guy
Hes mentally ill, thats pretty apparent.
Arthur to Dutch “I gave you all I had” Dutch answer “That’s what I like to see” 😂🤑💰💵 0:30
"I used to be the prize pony once, now I'm just a work horse." - Arthur to John in chapter 2
Dutch 1 second later:¡I need money!
$10,000,000 in 1899 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $367,601,204.82 today, an increase of $357,601,204.82 over 124 years. The dollar had an average inflation rate of 2.95% per year between 1899 and today, producing a cumulative price increase of 3,576.01%.😅
Imagine if donating that much money changes the ending. 🤯
Yes ! Absolutely !
Today worth it would be 246 million dollars
Arthur: *Literally donates the price of 5 Tahitis to the camp*
Dutch: "We need more muneh"
Why did you write money like a scottish guy would say it hahaha more like moneee
Donated 10Mil to camp
Dutch: We just need money, have a little faith Arthur!
One big hit and we will have enough for Tahiti
Arthur: Dutch, I just donated $10,000,000 can we go to Tahiti or someplace far?
Dutch: Arthur, have faith! ONE MORE SCORE AND WE OUT
"wE nEeD MoRe moNEy"
But Dutch, with this we can buy one Tahiti for each gang member
"bUt ArThUr"
Arthur: robbed at least 250 Saint Denis banks and donated all the money
Dutch: We need more money!
This was probably my only gripe with the game (besides the online). I wish they gave some kinda alternate ending where if you donate enough money the gang gets to leave for tahiti; they don't even have to succeed in leaving, could get caught or the ship sinks or something so u continue the game (mostly) normally
Yeah
Wouldn't tie with RDR1 though.
could’ve just been the non canon joke ending, like far cry or nier automata
I also like that Arthur just put in 2 dollar papers.
Arthur: "aim weapon on dutch's face"
also Arthur :dutch, I'm sick of your damn games.
Dutch: I got a plan, Arthur.
i've read somewhere that donating $10,000,000 gives the exact same honour as donating just $20.01
(Donates a fortune of money to the box)
Dutch: "Oh thanks, so anyways!"
There really should’ve been a secret ending where if you donate enough money you can just go to Tahiti, or maybe Arthur could’ve just abandoned the gang and left on his own randomly
The second one doesn't even contradict to rdr 1) it should have been a thing.
I actually wish they had made an alt ending where the gang goes off to live free somewhere if you were to do this. Just a tiny cutscene of them living on some island with a final few quips exchanged between Arthur and Dutch.
"You keep billing folk, Dutch.."
Bro just paid for a one week round trip for everyone in blackwater and san denis to tahiti.
One more decent take and we're gone.
Or how I donate carcasses non-stop to Pearson and he whines that I don’t.
this make me believe the chest has its own fees
I stopped donating for some time because i was gone hunting for a few days. Came back to Ms. Grimshaw saying she noticed i stopped putting in the money. Put 1000 dollars in the box. Happy now Ms. Grimshaw???
@@busterbeast999 that's why it sucks that it's a prequel. They have no Freedom whatsoever to change things and the story will only go one way
Damn, I never listened to Dutch roast Arthur that way 😂
Devs should have put a secret ending here. If you put a certain amount of money the game gets a non-canon ending where they all leave for Tahiti, forcing you to start over in Colter.
“I gave you all I had… I did”
-Arthur Morgan
They should of made a secret ending for doing this
Man I donated to camp on a regular basis the pages are literally filled with Arthur’s name and the moment other people donate Dutch walks up to me and says “people are talking saying you’re not working for us anymore” man I was so pissed
If you do camp chores I noticed they stop saying that or it works for me at least also you get honor unless you are already doing camp chores then at that point I don’t know hope it helps
Dutch's Reaction If Arthur Donates $ 10 000 000.00 to the Camp
"wE jUsT nEeD mOrE mOnEy"
Arthur: *donates $1,000,000,000,000*
Dutch: ONE MORE BIG SCORE ARTHUR! THIS IS IT, WE HIT ONE MORE TRAIN, WE MAKE SOME NOISE, AND WE’RE GONE! THIS IS THE LAST HIT ARTHUR! I’VE GOT A GOD DAMN PLAN!
“We need more money to survive “
Dutch: This puts us WAY ahead! Just one more little score, Orthor, and we can buy Tahiti and be out of Uncle Sam's hair
(gets incredibly happy about a haul of over 1K)
You can do this and Dutch will still say WE NEED MONEY ARTHUR!!!
"I GAVE YOU ALL I HAD DUTCH, FOR THIS RAT!"
Arthur: donates 10 million to the camp
Dutch: I have a pla-
My boy Arthur be keeping that 10 million in his pocket like its nothing
I see Arthur has discovered the true Eighth Wonder - The Printing Press!
Dutch right after that:Arthur we just need more money
Arthur: *Donates millions of dollars*
Dutch: *Complains he isn't contributing enough*
The last ten log entries: *30¢*
This should go directly to a cutscene where the gang gets off a boat in Tahiti and then credits roll.
Imagine a secret ending just by donating a huge sum.
