Michigan - born and raised. Absolutely beautiful country and some of the finest summers in all of America. Thank you KYD for spending the length of time you have this trip in Michigan and showing off the beautiful Mitt!!!
I have to thank KYD again for our trip to Michigan this past summer. We had watched your earlier trip and said we should add that to our list. . We had a great time and it’s been fun watching you do the same trip we did this year. Too funny. Mackinac City, Mackinaw island, Traverse City, and Silver Lake Sand Dunes at Mears. We’ve already signed up for E3 Camping. Can’t wait to see what is next for KYD. Congrats on your success and the joy you have brought to our family and the RV world.
My husband and I just moved to Traverse City back in February and we're thrilled with our choice. Closer to family, too. We absolutely love it here. Friendly people, gorgeous views, great food, and lots to do 😊❤️
I lived and worked in Traverse City, MI. It is so beautiful. While I was there, I literally would wake up in disbelief. The drive in to work, running errands, sitting by the pool, Rory just going to Walmart was all beautiful. Riding up to Leelanau during harvest, you could smell the vineyards. The cherry orchards we’re also beautiful. Enjoy your time there.
As a Californian, it's so hard to wrap my head around there being sand dunes and ocean-like water in Michigan. I've never been there but I'm amazed every time I see pictures or videos of it!
West side is absolutely a treasure! I grew up on the east side and moved to Grand Rapids in my 30’s. I was constantly amazed at the gems found traveling up and down Michigan 🥰
Camped along the east coast of Lake Michigan as a youngster and have great memories of Sleeping Bear Dunes State Park and BBQ sized Horse Flies in the UP. In August (currently in Idaho) we found Pioneer Park, a Muskegon County Park that was on the bluffs and excellent. We’re approaching 7,000 miles on this trip in our Airstream and enjoy following your ever improving videos. Don’t forget the RV Hall of Fame in Elkhart unless you are heading SE towards Ohio... Thanks again and signed-in for E3.
My wife and I enjoy watching your channel. We appreciate all the behind the scenes work that goes on too... Like, the hours of setting up camera gear and editing videos ect... Thank you! May God bless and keep you!
We live in Traverse City. We moved here 45 yrs ago from another state. It was very interesting to see what someone else feels is worth seeing. I saw a few places we've never been.
I played Arcadia Bluffs in 2017 and got to witness the bag piper on the 18th green after our round. Just saw your video on northern Michigan and I have to say, as a resident of 73 years, you showed our beautiful state very well.
I can't believe we're all caught up and no more bingeing on KYD. Watched all 9 seasons since the third week of August. Thank you KYD - Marc and Trish. I'm all signed up for notifications via email.
My wife and I have been watching you guys for a while and yes you have grown on us - we just purchased a 2013 25’ Airstream and hopefully our paths will cross one day - 🍻
Welcome to paradise! Born and raised here in Traverse City and live here with my family. We have so much to offer here and us locals are stewards to this beautiful slice of heaven. This is Pure Michigan! 🖐🏾
I remember our family taking the ferry across Lake Michigan to visit Sleeping Bear Dunes when I was about 10! My father and I loved running across the top of the dunes to jump straight out in the air and drop down the side! We had a blast without breaking our ankles! What fun memories ! (I am now 73!)
Really do love the addition of Wendy and Bill when they pop up in your adventures. It is hilarious that whenever Bill comes up with some wild adventure to try, he knows just the friend to go to who will say I'm in!" Everyone needs a friend like that.
Oh, I love the Traverse City area. My friend and I rode our bikes up and down Mission Peninsula and stopped at several wineries. In retrospect, that may have been misguided 😂 That was by far one of my favorite vacations. I am an Ohioan. Hope you enjoy your visit here,
Just got home from the TC campground and sat down. It is our happy place we love it!. Unfortunately this year we didn't get a lake lot. I started going there when I was about 12 and my husband and I have been going there for about 35 years. Such a well maintained place. Soo many great memories. First place we took our son camping...in a tent...he was 4 mos old.....torrential rains....yeah, there is a story there. haha
great video, my lovely wife and I were born and raised in michigan, we currently home base in fla but still have family in mi and love to get back there, it truly is unique, god bless you kids and stay safe
Yes! I always check for dead branches too when I'm camping. Don't want one falling on my tent or one of the other people camping with us' tents in the middle of the night
Omgosh lol. We stopped at these dunes 20 years ago with another family we were camping with and kept reaching those false summits! Sadly we all gave up because we just couldn’t make it with the toddlers and all. I’m so glad to see there was actually the view I envisioned 🥰🥰
Bill is VERY resourceful….nothing like Bagpipes playing while sipping on a Smoked Old Fashioned…😊….YUMMY 😋. Good Eats, w/Great Friends…and WOW, what a sunset 🌅…priceless
Omg, we stayed at Holiday Park and we loved it. We loved that whole Traverse City area, the town, the dunes, the wineries, the trails. We’re going back this Oct for colors. Hope the weather is nice. Love your videos, guys. Watched it since the beginning. You guys inspired us to get a trailer and go 😀 and we’ve been enjoying it since even more now that we are retired.
Traverse City is literally one of our favorite places to be. My wife and I honeymooned there during the winter '07/08 and have vacationed there multiple times since. In fact, we're due again! The Jolly Pumpkin on Mission is fun too. For anyone there without an RV, the Park Place Hotel and Grand Traverse Resort are fun each in their own way. Yes Michigan!
Pierce Stocking Drive is great - some nice spots to get out and overlook Lake Michigan without all of the endless hiking. The Lake Michigan overlook is fun. People run down the HUGE dune and it takes awhile to get back up. The sand has receded since I was younger, so it doesn't take as long - maybe about a half hour to get back up depending on your age and fitness level? But as kids, it took over an hour because the sand was so deep you would sink back down!
We grew up in Southwest Michigan, have never been in Northern Michigan. That trip is first on our list next summer. Visit family and then head north!! So much to see and experience in beautiful Michigan ❤
We did a RV trip there in 2015. My dog got ill and we spent the whole trip in East Bay Animal Hospital. She survived emergency surgery. So since we didn’t see the area. We went back August 2016. Stayed at the Beautiful Traverse Bay RV Resort. It’s a Class A only resort.
I love when you guys get together with the Coopers, so much fun is always had. Such a fun video with stunning views. It still amazes me how the lakes look like ocean water. Michigan looks like a great places to go and see, thanks for sharing them! Hugs, Brenda
What an incredible announcement, y’all! You guys have always been so focused on connecting and helping with others. Your journey was one of our original inspirations for getting into the RV life. Although we are no longer full timing, we still try to live with the same outlook of adventure. We are so excited for the new endeavor for you guys, I know it’s going to open up a whole new realm of possibilities for helping others! ❤️ - Blair
My wife and I stayed on Chateau Grand Traverse Winery in their B&B one February and it was a fantastic stay. Great wine and the Jolly Pumpkin had amazing food.
We have been bingeing your other seasons and we are hooked on this RV life. We have always said "someday" when we get older, yada, yada, yada but totally admire that you (and so many others) didn't wait. We're not there yet but living vicariously through your adventures. Love the channel!
I joined e3camping. As a mobile rv service I joined as there are many newbies this year and most haven't a clue as to what to do. Some do not even know how to dump their thanks and how to use the valves. Case in point, got a call from a Tiffian owner with a new Allegro Bus, a beast btw, and had no idea on how to use his valves, paid me to show him and I also spent the minimum hourly fee to show him many things the dealer failed to show him. So now I can point to e3camping IF it is what it is purported to be. Thanks for the link and heads up.
Happy Birthday Marc. A couple of years ago the wife and I bought a 1997 oldie moldy class C RV. I completely refurbished that old 97, we drove it to Canada and back and then sold it. But it was too late. We were hooked. September first we moved up ten years and bought an '07 class A diesel pusher. We love everything about this lifestyle, except the 7MPG@75MPH. We're taking off again next month for two weeks. Gonna try slowing down a bit and see if it will help this heavy drinker. Not me Marc, the rig.
So excited about what e3 camping will be all about...I also enjoyed your videos of Michigan. Grew up vacationing in Michigan, it was good to see it again.
Fox barn winery, in Shelby, right outside of silver lake sand dunes is a great place to visit while in Michigan. Thank you for visiting this amazing state!
Love that people come to Michigan and visit the beauty that God has created. Such a high destination for people to go to Traverse City in the summery months. Traverse City is more of a shopping district with big focus on alcohol and social aspects. Leelanau county-where Sleeping Bear Dunes in Glen Arbor is obviously the biggest hot spot for tourists, but i always recommend stopping by some of the smaller lesser known dune spots in our area. Less crowded, and just as exhilarating. Still has plenty of wine and beer tours.. (too many in my opinion bc of the accidents and DUIs in the area) but to be expected! Just hope everyone stays responsible and wise when enjoying what there is to see and do here! ;)
If you're ever back in CA, Monterey Bay, at Pebble, check out the bagpiper that plays every nite at sunset at Spanish Bay; the links area reminded Tom Watson (course designer) of Scotland's Highlands. (& I personally think the views of the Pacific are much nicer from Spanish Bay than the Lodge.) My Dad's family is from Michigan & my grandmother used to talk about relatives in Traverse City & Brown City. What I remember from summer visits is going to Blue Lake to their cabin & having a roaring fire in the fireplace because it was sooooo cold at night in the middle of summer. Seeing you under the blankets in the Adirondack chairs brought back those memories.
From Windsor ontario Canada, absolutely love Michigan and all the outdoor activities it has to offer. Sleeping bear dunes and Traverse city is an annual camping destination for our family. Thank you and bless your family for all the fantastic videos you share with us. ❤️🙏🏼⛺️🛶
I have lived in Traverse City my whole life and I have never completed the Dune climb hike all the way to Lake Michigan. 😂 I generally take the shorter hike near the Cannery in Glen Haven past the old Life Saving Station. Both Leelanau and Old Mission peninsulas are filled with great wineries. Depending on the prior year, some of the wineries will have ice wine. Closer to fall, they start bringing out the mulled wine and will have warmed wine options for taste testing. The Traverse and Leelanau areas have a wide set of activities for all seasons. I saw you went through Glen Arbor. The Crystal river that runs through there is one of my favorites to kayak because of how clear it is.
I loved the sleepy bear dunes, we lived in Cadillac, Wexford county and drove the country side during fall to watch the leaves change and lake Michigan is always majestic. I'm so happy to know you get to experience all things Michigan. Keep making wonderful and educational videos and god bless your family!!! 😊❤
That E3 stuff seems like it will be amazing! I dunno how y’all have the time but kuddos for growing your brand and being such an awesome resource! I started following y’all right before you hit 100k subs. We were planning on going full time so I was really into your content for the educational stuff. Since then, our lives have led us away from that but I still get excited to watch and follow each week cuz y’all are awesome and I love to see and follow your growth, journey, and success. 😊
Bill getting bagpipes on his phone is classic!😂👍 and that is a great golf course!⛳️🙌 Great vid once again along with the music! Hats off to KYD music department!👏
Thank you so much for showing me what beauty Michigan has to offer. Sometimes the news on television doesn't serve a state well and have enjoyed the videos. Looking forward to KYD Sundays.
Marc, your comment about the bagpipe player cracked me up! My husband is of Scottish descent, a drummer, and hates bagpipes! Here is one of his favorite jokes: Do you know the definition of perfect pitch? When an accordion player tosses his accordion out the window and it lands on a bagpipe player! We are not RVers (yet!), but I really love your videos! You two seem like you'd be a lot of fun to hang out with! Thanks for your great videos!
Trish how was the smoked Bourbon drink? Marc, the time lapse of the sunset over the lake was awesome, even without the bagpipes. Great video guys, have fun, stay safe and enjoy.
Funny how you and Less Junk more Journey released a video of the same dune clime on the same day.. to ships passing in the night😅... love what you all do 👍
Was there camping in tents with my mom, brother and twin nephews like 12-14 years ago. So much fun!! Don't remember the campground name in Traverse City but do remember the dunes and hiking to the top! Did so much in a week even drove to Mackinaw City, took ferry to the Island and rode our bikes there!! So fun and want to do again for SURE with my family ( husband and kids)!!

BRAND NEW appreciation for vlogging and rv’ing. Down 1 sd card, cable for trailer lights, travel 287 miles in 7 hours 😩. Doing Longview TX to Pikes Peak CO in a week. Tough start....
Good job. Looking forward to E3. FYI- we call dead tree limbs Widow Makers. The name has two purposes, death is permanent and it makes you think. Look up! I'm not ready to make her a widow.
Swing by St Joseph MI on the shore of Lake MI. Labeled the most Romantic City in MI. I was born and raised there... and STILL live here!! Old Paver Brick City Road. Right off I-94!!! BEAUTIFUL place.
I've lived in Traverse my whole love. Northern Michigan is amazing with tons of stuff to do. even in the winter. or any season. Im not sure were you guys are gonna be heading; But if you go to New York. Watkins Glen State Park is a must visit place. You won't be disappointed.
To bad your time is so limited there was so much more to Traverse City and the surrounding area. You were camping on Silver lake and that is one of so so many around to see. You probably had a chance to see some of East Bay and West Bay. There is also Elk Lake and Torch Lake with the beutiful blues and sandbars. Just so much to do.
We came through that area this summer and were surprised at how much we enjoyed Michigan. The Traverse City area was great. Can’t wait to see your adventures in our home state of Ohio!
It’s so much fun following you all while I’m slaving away in my office with no windows. In that video I was on a chair enjoying the sunset right next to you! Love you all. Thanks for putting on such great videos!!!
My wife was raised in SW Michigan, and your videos have made me want to explore her childhood home! And any drink with bourbon is a good thing! PS: nailed the sound track again!!!
Hay Marc and family, wow you guys are amazing, even to us older folks,,Ive been learning alot from you guys,Driving my 3 kids nutts,Im planning, getting feet wet on the weekends,Unexspected early retirement at 58,so gots to except it,and learn about the good life after,,Thanks again Marc...
What a fabulous episode! I have cris-crossed Michigan numerous times in a semi-truck thirty years ago. It was nothing like this. The guy with the roof-top tent has given me some ideas. We’re on board with the e3camping. On The Road
We started. Got into it for the first weekend. I just want my kids to have these memories. Also my rig may mayyyyy have rubbed against the house slightly trying to park it but we "scraped " by. Lol. Keep it up the vids help us learn.
Michigan isn't just a jem in the summer, if you love outdoors and aren't afraid of a little cold there's lots of fun to be had in the winter. Kaleb would bury the needle on his funometer, snowmobiling, ice fishing, hockey on local ponds.
Ok....We have done that dune climb and hike at Sleeping Bear. HARDEST TRAIL EVER!!! I thought we were gonna die!!! It seems never ending, and it is soooo disappointing when you go up another dune and you are still not at the lake! I thought surely they have the distance marked wrong. Also, if you hike when it is hot, there is very little shade which is already taken up by exhausted hikers. Good job conquering that hike!!!
I added 3 sets of Thule Bars on top of my Leer Long bed CAP. 6 bars to spread the weight / load out. I attached the XL Rhino Basket / Cargo Bag for camping and bulk storage

Traverse City is beautiful all year round. Lived here my whole life. Glad you enjoyed
As a Californian, it's so hard to wrap my head around there being sand dunes and ocean-like water in Michigan. I've never been there but I'm amazed every time I see pictures or videos of it!
No sharks, no salt, no worries.
Michigan is a gem.
Lake Huron, Superior and Ontario also have dunes like this. Some of the beaches rival the best ocean beaches, without the salt and sharks
Stay there. Michigan is COLD! that's something you don't see in the pictures and videos.
West side is absolutely a treasure! I grew up on the east side and moved to Grand Rapids in my 30’s. I was constantly amazed at the gems found traveling up and down Michigan 🥰

Well done! Northern Michigan is spectacular.....in the summer.
Your music picks added a nice complement to the video ambiance 🍷!
Glad the weather cleared during your wine tour. They say if you don't like the weather in Michigan wait five minutes.
Good to mention checking the trees. My Dad had a 36 inch Cottonwood tree fall on him in his wheelchair. He only made it 18 days.
You picked the best time of year to visit to Michigan!! I live just south of TC over by Crystal Mountain and it’s beautiful right now!
Really do love the addition of Wendy and Bill when they pop up in your adventures. It is hilarious that whenever Bill comes up with some wild adventure to try, he knows just the friend to go to who will say I'm in!" Everyone needs a friend like that.
When the bagpipes started playing ❤️. Beautiful view, and sunset. 🌅
Thank you for a kind bagpipe comment. It’s appreciated. 👌👏

Ok, I'm sold, Northern Michigan is on our must see list.
Ours too!
Travel up the entire west side of the state to the tip of the mitten, ho hell, go all the way to into the UP too!
Omg, we stayed at Holiday Park and we loved it. We loved that whole Traverse City area, the town, the dunes, the wineries, the trails. We’re going back this Oct for colors. Hope the weather is nice. If you ever go back to Leland, take the ferry to N.Manitou Island for hiking, backpacking and fishing. The night sky is spectacular.
Thanks for posting the music in the corner of the video.
I love the music in this one. I am old enough to change the words from “thank God for boxes of first CDs” to thank God for boxes of first LPs

With luck, you might get to 8 mpg! RV's not the most economical vehicles, are they.
So excited about what e3 camping will be all about...I also enjoyed your videos of Michigan. Grew up vacationing in Michigan, it was good to see it again.
With everything that's going on, I hope you and your family are always safe ❤ Happy to see this upload early 😊
Wow! so joining Lite Brite and Trail Recon with E3.
Good crew. We're honored to be part of the team.
Fox barn winery, in Shelby, right outside of silver lake sand dunes is a great place to visit while in Michigan. Thank you for visiting this amazing state!

The best thing about Sundays right here, quality entertainment from awesome folks!
We love Michigan! We rode our motorcycles from Texas to Minnesota; Wisconsin and then on to Michigan. Amazing trip. Always love your videos.
Bill getting bagpipes on his phone is classic!😂👍 and that is a great golf course!⛳️🙌 Great vid once again along with the music! Hats off to KYD music department!👏

My husband loves a smoked Old Fashioned. I immediately recognized the drink, but that was quite a contraption that they used to smoke it!
Hi guys! Sorry I've been busy. Ive missed the last few. So glad to see you. Very happy to see you still making Memories.
Another great episode. I have friends who summer in Petoskey in their motor coach. I spent Labor Day up there. Really liked the whole area.
I believe Less Junk more JOURNEY IS EITHER in Sleeping Bear or was just there.
Don’t know, but do know that they all publish later. Kyd said at the start that they are on the east coast now??
RV UA-camr videos are usually delayed to after they moved on to the next spot
@@rollingreveler5198 I think KYD is a month ahead.
yep...just watched their video too!
Sleeping Dunes!🤣 Glad you had a good time in our stomping grounds. Now off to your next adventure.
Funny how you and Less Junk more Journey released a video of the same dune clime on the same day.. to ships passing in the night😅... love what you all do 👍
I've been waiting for this episode! Traverse city born and raised.

As always, awesome video, just love seeing your beautiful family. So blessed to be apart of some aspect of it!! 🥰😍☺️
BRAND NEW appreciation for vlogging and rv’ing. Down 1 sd card, cable for trailer lights, travel 287 miles in 7 hours 😩. Doing Longview TX to Pikes Peak CO in a week. Tough start....
Looks like a Beautiful sunset and fire for a great evening!
Good job. Looking forward to E3. FYI- we call dead tree limbs Widow Makers. The name has two purposes, death is permanent and it makes you think. Look up! I'm not ready to make her a widow.
We aregetting ready to buy our first RV. Can't wait to get on road.
Great vibes, Good friends and Fine wines🥂 Glamping KYD style!
Swing by St Joseph MI on the shore of Lake MI. Labeled the most Romantic City in MI. I was born and raised there... and STILL live here!! Old Paver Brick City Road. Right off I-94!!! BEAUTIFUL place.
Michigan is the best summer vacation spot! We miss our Michigan home and are stuck in New Zealand now.
I can think of worse places to be stuck! :)
@@dianenaylor at this moment in time, you are right where you need to be.
I don't understand, New Zealand is just a few hours drive?
Never... in the history of ever... have I ever heard someone say that they were “stuck” in NZ!!
Lucky you!
I've lived in Traverse my whole love. Northern Michigan is amazing with tons of stuff to do. even in the winter. or any season. Im not sure were you guys are gonna be heading; But if you go to New York. Watkins Glen State Park is a must visit place. You won't be disappointed.
Glad you enjoy Michigan come to the east side. Come check out Alpena the sanctuary of the great lakes.
I´m gonna miss you, Michigan!!!
yes, check trees. The past two new RV's have had a branch fall on the roof and do damage. Both on the first voyage out.
We came through that area this summer and were surprised at how much we enjoyed Michigan. The Traverse City area was great. Can’t wait to see your adventures in our home state of Ohio!
We have so much to do and see in Michigan we love liveing in Michigan I'm happy you like what you have been seeing i love all your videos
It’s so much fun following you all while I’m slaving away in my office with no windows. In that video I was on a chair enjoying the sunset right next to you! Love you all. Thanks for putting on such great videos!!!
Whatever mic setup you have in that wind is impressive!
My wife was raised in SW Michigan, and your videos have made me want to explore her childhood home! And any drink with bourbon is a good thing!
PS: nailed the sound track again!!!

Thank you for sharing Amazing , beautiful family and experience 👍👍🙏🙏
What a fabulous episode!
I have cris-crossed Michigan numerous times in a semi-truck thirty years ago.
It was nothing like this.
The guy with the roof-top tent has given me some ideas.
We’re on board with the e3camping.
On The Road
Welcome to MY Home hope you enjoyed it. I am watching from Georgia and very homesick for home. Jealous of you guys.
We started. Got into it for the first weekend. I just want my kids to have these memories. Also my rig may mayyyyy have rubbed against the house slightly trying to park it but we "scraped " by. Lol. Keep it up the vids help us learn.
That's how we felt about the Delicate Arch hike. After every corner we thought it would be there, but no it never was. You've been you know!!! Lol
Michigan isn't just a jem in the summer, if you love outdoors and aren't afraid of a little cold there's lots of fun to be had in the winter. Kaleb would bury the needle on his funometer, snowmobiling, ice fishing, hockey on local ponds.
Thanks for the video, it’s on my list now. My wife and I are headed out in the morning to camp on Lake Superior. You both are an inspiration to us.
We just got home from a 3 month, 5,000+ mile trip through Idaho and Montana. I’m ready to go again!
My favorite notification of all time... KYD upload 😍🤗
I added 3 sets of Thule Bars on top of my Leer Long bed CAP. 6 bars to spread the weight / load out. I attached the XL Rhino Basket / Cargo Bag for camping and bulk storage
