I love that and I want as much of it as possible without having to do a larger turbo swap 😜 I am asking about the muffler because my previous 6.7 build (straight-piped) had a little too much drone for everyday driving…
And these cabs on these trucks are built so much better sound wise than the older body, I can hardly hear my exhaust with 5” straight pipe with the windows up

@@ShaunOconnell I figured it was the VGT because earlier models don't sound so much like a jet coming out. Not a bad thing really, sounds pretty cool. I've heard that when they're warmed up the turbo vanes adjust (hence variable geometry) so it's not as airy at idle. I suppose that's what the rumble tune does? Gotta say, as part of the "weight reduction", I'm terrified to figure out what tune to go with. Lots of options out there that just speed up timing and increase fueling for HP increases. Hard on transmissions, hard on engine internals unless done correctly. I just want stock all the way, but allow for weight reduction (EGR included) and maybe the "rumble" vane adjustment you mentioned. Any thoughts?
@@richardmesser276 I'm not an expert on them, but probably also their precise fuel injection and timing that reduced the traditional diesel "knocking" sound.

Went up to 19 mpg average with the 40hp tune. When I switched to the 120 Hp tune it went down to like 16-17 average though

You should still get the hiss sound if you do the hiss tune just won’t be as loud

I put a 10 inch muffler on my 14 and it still had the hiss. I also had a s and b intake. About to tackle my 17 same way
