This music always reminds me my early childhood life in Enugu in the late 70's, I use to live with my aunt who was a teacher then and her husband plays the music a lot, and each time I walk down our street then I hear music shops playing it, I grew up and fell in love with Joe Nez music, I always replace the CD each time it gets lost, hit like if you love ❤️ this iconic musician Joe Nez.
R.I.P DAD.....The tears always come when I hear his songs. His songs along with celestine ukwu, oriental brothers, fela's zombie song and Eric Donaldson were his favourite. He would come back from work with professor suya from owerri road Enugu, take his bath and sit and give us suya and then take his one bottle of PAL LAGER BEER and chill while playing this song. We will do dancing competition for him too
This music reminds me of my secondary schools days in the 70's, we have tenants from the east who used to play this cool music then in gongola state in the north of nigeria in a village known as ganye. i am still enjoying it here in yola these days. the names of our tenants were jude, dede, Ate, Antonia, they have all gone ack to the east, oh how i feel nostagia for my chidhood!, feeling emotional, feel like crying!, where did we originate and where are we going to?, Joe Nez rest in peace till we meet again!
This is my best music then when I was in secondary in 90s ..most specially one of his hit track called Adaku adanma.and I was dating a lady called Adaku then.so whenever we are together I normally plays this song for her ..
your shot not remind me when I was serving my master back in those days in Yola Adamawa state. though I didn't enjoy it then but now I am missing the moment
Old time love was undiluted. It was a knife with a face , but these days the love is full of deciets and bringing in exs into marriage is the in thing. Women testing the " Cassava," of other men cutting diseases , often times ringing in pregnancy of other men and insulting their husbands It is an evil time we are in now. God will save us with open eyes.
This song give me courage when Malaysia woman want to hold me down with love ,I advice myself that am not In Malaysia for a pleasure trip only for a business trip
Please give some kudos to the wizard on bass guitar, the perfect guy on kongas, the wicked keyboardist, and the steady man on drum sets, they all make the music pretty cool ❤
IN THOSE DAYS PEOPLE DID APPRENTICESHIP THUS WERE SOLIDLY GROUNDED IN THEIR ENDEAVOURS. DO YOU KNOW FAITAI ROLLING DOLLAR? LISTEN TO HIS MUSIC AND OTHERS.
Old music still remain the best and classic i remember my dad always vibing this jam way back when growing up especially when returning from school for lunch keep living and live long the living legend thanks for all the care you give to your children when growing up you shall live long to eat the fruit of your labour
My mum's best ever and my most glorious song while growing up. I am really surprised to see this song here on youtube. The person that uploaded this song doesn't know he brought supreme happiness to a family of 4boys and 2 parents. This is nostalgic. May the Almighty God bless this Dj abundantly. You have made my year. Thanks a million.
Thanks so much for your kind words chidi martins. I bought the CD many years ago and I thought I should share it with everyone as there is joy in sharing. Thanks a lot.
For those arguing about Joe Nez' Local Government of origin, pls he's from Ibeku Okwuato, Aboh Mbaise LGA, Imo State. He lived and died in Ulakwo, Owerri and his corpse was brought back to his ancestral home in Mbaise. He was buried along Afor-Ibeku - Aboh Road were he still lies till date. However, let us note that music knows no ethnicity, no religion, no barriers. May God give us the likes of Joe Nez, Rex Lawson, Prince Nico Mbarga, Fell Kuti, Bob Marley, etc again........
I knew him as onye Umuajaka Ulakwo. Good to know his real origin. Back in the 1970s and early 1980s most people that lived in Ulakwo came from many other parts of Imo. Issac one of his son was a class mate at Obube Secondary and we lived few kilometres away from them.
Mid 1990s, growing up with my elder brother in Awka. Every evening whenever he returns from his shop at Eke Awka, he will drop the LP on the turn table and blast till we sleep. Joe Nez, Celestine Ukwu, etc… RIP my big brother, I’m in tears right now.
Nigerians are known for their musics songs, and the films industry, but this local iconic legend who left his craft behind for us to enjoy makes him my favorite artist. My legend, Please rest in peace 🪦 my beloved ❤❤😢😢
Thanks Joe Nez for this music 🎵🎶! I heard it first at my boyfriend's house in Katsina state Nigeria 🇳🇬. Though my friend died but I play this music to gain nostalgic feelings about those beautiful ❤️😍 years. May both yours paths cross in the afterlife. Rest in Peace ✌️🕊️🙏🏻
I don't like listening to this song. I shade tears each time I listen to this Nosike song. It gives me deep thought of life. It's a song with deep meaning. Tears is coming from my eyes.
Beautiful to hear this music here, shaped my childhood, "malinconico" nostalgic for my lovely Eastern Naija, coal city, Awka, Nnewi, Umuahia , Owerri Onitsha....etc. Thanks for the upload
I used to listen to this song every Friday evening on my Grandpa’s radio via Delta Broadcasting Service Asaba(DBS). Now I’m listening to it again here in the Garden city of Port Harcourt. Take me back to the good old days. #ripgrandpa
Thanks to joe nez. I sleep with the song, Dance with the song, Cry with the song, Laugh with the song Wake with the song. I enjoy every lyrics of the song. Dj Dynamite, thanks for the song.
Makes feel Nostalgic. He reminds me when I lived in Enugu with my 3 toddlers. The nearby hotel used to play this song till late nights. God bless the artist. Now I understand the real meaning of the song which is his ethical dilemma in mixing friendship with his tenant/landlady relationship. Brilliant mind for turning down the woman's advances because he had a purpose for traveling to Enugu. Pay attention young ones.
As grateful as I am reconnecting with one of my late dad's favorite music in the world, I am sadden by so many account of lose here and how bad things have gotten on so many levels, in Nigeria today compared to when this music was released. May God restore the country of my birth in Jesus name, Amen!

Each Time, I listen to this music, it makes shake my head. I visited places in this world but PHC - Port Harcourt holds special place in my heart. I envisaged Port Harcourt being the Coolest Garden City in this Whole Wide World BUT today see what the so-called indigenes are doing to the LOVELY place in the name of power struggle. We often drive from Enugu to enjoy a weekend in the place but not any more. Shame Indeed The place was being built with love by all LOVERS of Garden City till these party jumpers thought otherwise. Yet, they cannot show which way they're heading, apart from accumulation of Belle-infrastructures 'For-Me-I-Alone'. SELF CENTER-ISM
May God bless you for the addition of this music in youtube. This music has brought me back to youthful age.Even my wife who,s an European said that she loves the music not minding that she doesn't understand what he talking about.
This music reminds me of my late mother. She will always ask me to play "Besi-nwam" (her version of the chorus Nosike). My mother's name is Bessy. So she assumes the song is calling her name...I love my mother. So every time I play this song I think of my lovely beautiful mother. May her gentle soul rest in peace. And to the indefatigable Joe Nez...May your soul rest in peace. You are dead but you live on to die no more.
Reminds me of good old days.. The voice is so beautiful undiluted yet great sound to the ear.. I repeated this same song more than thrice.. I love you Joe Nez
