That lake and the mountains just beautiful. I’m sure the garden is going to be lovely and productive. I have about 5 raised beds for herbs and vegetables but this year I’ve added some marigold as well for a bit of colour. You have moose and I have possums that do their shopping in my backyard. Actually they do pretty well between my yard and my neighbours who has a massive vegetable garden. Great to see the boys helping out and having your dad’s help is always appreciated. Then a reward well earned , swim, paddle boarding , biking the area is great for kids
What a fun time at the lake, awesome bike trail. Everett is a brave little boy, he was afraid but tried anyway.

It’s been so nice in MN, it’s been high 60’s and low 70’s and today, Father’s Day, it’s suppose to be 101°. Yuck! Up to the cabin we go and sit in the lake for the day. We aren’t use to this warm of weather in northern MN🥵Happy Father’s Mark and all the other fathers out there🥰

i was a gardener but unless its all love it it is just not worth all the time energy and money spent on upkeep except for the flowers of course . the world of summer market gardens is a joy for me and i love to support the local growers. that would make interesting cool vlogs .

You’re lucky your old soil must be good the next year. If I did that my plants would die. I know did it a couple of times. I have to dump the old soil in the wheelbarrow and mix new soil, compost and alfalfa pellets and put back in the containers then plant. Then water a lot to soften the alfalfa pellets. And then in this Memphis heat some don’t make it. Hope you have a wonderful garden. I know I’m watching old videos after I make a comment I remember. Lol

Hi Lauren, wow, you, your dad and your husband with the boys help knocked that out. Well done everyone! It's funny how you said pumpkins are hard to grow and need the hothouse....over here in NZ pumpkins grow like weeds. I actually just chuck my seeds when cutting them into the compost heap, and some always grow and produce pumpkins. I love the cheddar caulis, and this year I also planted purple as well as white ones. 💜

I do enjoy seeing videos of the boys at the lake. Today is the summer solstice....in central Scotland sunrise is 04.31hrs sunset is 22.06hrs so17hrs and 35mins of daylight. It's been so hot today but I'm not complaining......it will be winter again soon enough 🌞 or ❄ I love the changing of the seasons

Awe, seeing you work on your vegetable/flower garden brought back so many memories of my dad working in his garden. His favorite was sunflower 🌻 they were beautiful & always had an abundance of vegetables 💜

Happy Father's Day Mark and Lauren's Dad and Mark's Dad!! That Hot Mess was transformed into a Bountiful Garden of Plentitude. A little team work, a little patience, a little sweat, a ton of Mosquito bites, a break, O, wait we forgot about this, a bike ride and swim, Glory Hallelujah the Garden is in....loved to watch Thanks for taking us along. It was so great to see all the Boys, they are getting so Big, they looked so Handsome with their new Haircuts. Hunter, you made Gary laugh on that Bike Ride, it just made his day, Thank you. Looks like you had a great time at Pioneer Days. And Lauren, it was such a delight to see Everett take his first plunge into the middle of the Lake. Everett was so Brave and Adventurous with his Armour. CANNON BALLS ARE AWESOME!!! Thanks for letting us be part of your Family. Gary and I are celebrating our 25th Anniversary this week. Tomatoes do best in a greenhouse in Alaska. I have tried them next to the house a few times but have not had a lot of luck.

So nice to see you have fun after your working so hard planting the garden. I was never successful with planting seeds of any type. The only veggie I could grow was Swiss Chard, which is my favorite any way! I really miss having a flower garden & my flower pots like yours. They were always so pretty and brought me so much joy! Good team work on the gardens ! All the flowers will make the deck very cozy . One thing I noticed was NO TOMATO plants . That is sometimes the only thing I grow now that I don't do large gardens any more . You are a fun and busy young Family and it's a joy to watch your videos.

Well you talked about mosquitoes. I will tell you what I do to keep them away from my yards. You will need a container with a lid. I have a wood burning tool that heats up that has a pointed tip on it. I use that to make holes in lid big enough for the mosquitoes and flies to fit through. Or you can heat something on the stove to get hot to make the holes. I use a couple gallon ice cream containers. You mix 3 tablespoons of boric acid that you can get from Amazon. Not the boric acid to do your laundry. And 2 tablespoons of brown or white sugar and 3 tablespoons of baking yeast. Pour 3/4 full of warm water. Mix and hang in the shade under a tree away from your house. I do one for front and back of the house. They love the smell of the active yeast. Check it every week to see if you need to replace. I flush old water and bugs in the toilet due to the boric acid. Anyway it works.

Isn’t the lake water freezing? Brrrr! Your garden looks great. Why no tomatoes? Our tomato’s are doing great. Plenty of green ones on the vines. Green peppers and onions. We have a small garden.
The lake water is cold but the boys love it on a hot day! Tomatoes are tough to grown without a greenhouse. Too many cold days during the summer. This summer was probably the one to do them since it has been hotter. Your garden sounds lovely! Thanks for watching!

Those prices at Lowes were super high....does your Costco's do a garden centre? I know they sell plants from your videos but I only have seen them inside from what you have shown. your garden looks amazing!!

I’m guessing your house has central heating so the pantry isn’t going to work for storing your potatoes come harvest time. Do you have somewhere dark and cool. Placing them in crates that have ventilation between layers and then cover with something like hessian bag.
We store them in the crawl space where it is cool and dark. Hopefully we can do better and keeping them this year
How do you keep the wild animals out of your Raspberries?
The raspberries tend to do just fine. Every once in a while a moose will snack on them, but they seem to have plenty of things to eat and leave them alone.
