I’ve been binge watching your channel since I found it, it’s easy to see you all are down to earth. It’s also easy to see that you all truly love each other. You’re a wonderful mother and wife and Mark seems to be a wonderful father and husband.

“We’d probably have 5 kids by now if Covid didn’t happen”. I get that statement so much. We found out we were pregnant in January of 2020 and it was about 6 months earlier than we had planned. But if it didn’t happen then we probably wouldn’t have tried because of Covid. We know Heavenly Father made that decision for us because he knew we had to do it then or not at all.
I always lose my scissors, tape, or pen to write on the gift tags when I wrap presents. Half the time I wrap on my bed, and they fall on the floor and under the bed where I finally find them. Cousins gifts are a great idea. It is nice to have that extended family so close.
They really are good eaters. Not sure what we did right for that to happen but we do give them lots of opportunities to eat good food from a very young age. Happy New Year Colleen!

Yes to all things organization! How was it adapting back to the cold after the warmth of Hawaii? Thanks for making such fun videos. You Alaskan's certainly keep things interesting! Kudos to Hunter! What a sweet kid, with such a great outlook. He looks so much like you.
Hello! Coming back to the cold was fine, the dark was a bit shocking after so much sun. We have been so busy since the moment we got home I have hardly been outside or even stopped to take a breath. Such is life sometimes! Thanks for being here!
My mom worked really hard for retirement. She wanted to travel after retirement. She got hurt on the job just a few years before retirement. She is severely and permanently disabled. She can't go anywhere she wanted to. She wasted her whole life working toward something she could never enjoy. My husband got injured on the job at the age of 31 (just 4 years after my mom) and became totally disabled. Thankfully we were able to travel with his work. But our life is very limited with his disability. Through this God has really brought to light the verse that says do not put off for tomorrow what you can do today. Or don't say tomorrow I will go, for you do not know what tomorrow holds. Since this I have met many people who worked their whole life and never made it and were so full of regret. I always tell people to live for today. Because tomorrow isn't promised
Such a great video to get to know you all better. I chuckled when your son (I think it was Hunter)said that one of the negatives of filming is being quiet because of his three brothers and then he pointed to Everett needing some assistance from Mom. 😊💕. Your boys are very mature and understand a lot. Of course, they are still rambunctious boys too which is great. Boy mom here too. You are so much more patient than I was when my sons were little (youngest is 16 now). Just think of what your Costco bill will be with teens. It’s all good though! It’s all fun stages and you have hunters and fishermen so you’ll be good with proteins. Love your channel!
Thank you Pamela! I am not always patient with them but I try my best! They are 100% boys and I try to enjoy all the crazy along with their sweetness! Moving to Alaska really brought me and my Dad close and I am really grateful for it. He became my best friend when I had none. I know you can relate. I know your kindness and love make your dad proud. Lots of love ❤️

Y’all are awesome. Everett is the best blog videographer 😉😊 I had 5 boys. I always wished I had one more so the baby would have a close in age sibling. I think the boys would love to have one or two more siblings. Thanks for sharing y’all’s lives with us. Hope all is well.
Everett really loves talking to his friends on the camera! Time will tell if we have any other siblings, I am number 6 in my family and I feel like I might be missing out we don't have at least one more
Why is it when your wrapping presents the scissors always walk across the room. I can't believe you held it together wrapping and answering questions. This was so much fun. I bet you learned a lot. I always think that in answering a question about yourself you have a clearer vision of what's important. It pays to be flexible because things change. I think FAITH is a good foundation. Having a means to check in with who you are is a great practice. Thanks for sharing. Can't Wait to see Weston play Chess. That is a great camping activity
Thanks Marcella! The boys are ALL loving the new chess set. It has been a fun addition to our Christmas break, that and trying to solve Rubix cubes. Having to answer questions is a good way to check in and reflect. I love looking back and seeing God's hand in it all!
I really love how you said that, watching God's hand in it all. You said that in the video, thanks for reminding me. I don't know how many times I fall and that comes to my mind. But when I hear someone else say it , it reminds me how much I love to hear those words. That would be a great quote on a sign. So humbling

Hi Lauren I love the story on how you and Mark meet. You never had a honeymoon? Also you are wrapping presents but I didn’t see you put any names on the gifts?
Our honeymoon was driving from Utah to Alaska after my student teaching. We drove the California coast and took the Ferry from Canada to Alaska. It was great! I used different paper for each kid and made piles, later I put their names on them!
How fun! Love the balloon waterfall! Love your huge island! I would love to have it for baking. I love how you displayed the food! And I loved the game selections! I loved it all! What a great idea❤️💖

Ha ha… such similar stories. Do you want to come see my hockey game? Yeah my Dad loves hockey!!!🤣🤣🤣🤦🏻♀️. Guess we’re Daddy’s girls through and through!
I love Everett and Hunter but don't feel like I have gotten to know the middle kids...Love your videos...Thanks for all of your work! I am so sorry about your brother Hugs!!! You are amazing...Can you speak on why hot chocolate (caffeine) is ok as opposed to coffee? Everett brightens my days :)
Thanks for watching! I will try and make sure we see all the kids throughout the year! Thanks for your kind words about my brother. His death and funeral are some of my first vivid memories as a child. They left a big impression on me, even at such a young age. Tea and coffee are what are specified in the Word of Wisdom ( the revelation to our church on what foods to avoid) because of their addictive properties. You can read more about it here if you are interested www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/manual/true-to-the-faith/word-of-wisdom?lang=eng Thank you so much for being here.
Aww. That’s the question I was gonna ask... if you will have more children and if you ever wanted a girl... how sweet that would be? But she would have all those big brothers. Lol. Hunter seems so sweet and kind and humble and smart. 🥰
My Daughter was baby number 6 and had 5 big brothers, l can confidently say she adored having those boys looking after her and they have added so much value to her life and truly made her who she is a very confident young lady.
Just found your Chanel and was going through to learn. I was born in Richmond, Virginia and moved when I was 14 and found my husband here in MD. Where in Va are you from?
Hello! We are doing well, thank you. He is saying that he prefers the "tikka masala" with chicken instead of halibut. He loves seafood but doesn't like it when I make the Costco Tikka Masala (we most likely were pronouncing it wrong) with fish. Thanks for watching!
I found the carmels at our checkout lane too. Look into those Gummie Bears she picks up. Those are soft and the flavors are Adult friendly. I put a bag in for Friends who have no Family. And my Priests, a little something to munch on while writing homilies. But they are additive.
Those gummy bears are the best but you are right, they are addictive! So soft and such great flavors. That reminds me, I bought some for Christmas, now where did I put them??? That and the Toberlerone bars never made it out???? Mark gets Russian Christmas off because a lot of the Alaska Natives are Russian Orthodox so we will have to find all the presents I hid and bring them out for that I guess!!
I am terrible at wrapping. And I don't have a huge space or table to wrap on. My Dad would recycle old paper by cutting into smaller pieces so they were ready for next year. He had them labeled small medium and large. He would tell my Mom what they were low on. They store it with the Christmas decorations. They had 14 kids. They had to have a system. And they waited. But my Dad had a workshop in the basement. He took off the week of Christmas. No one went downstairs. He would stay down there for hours listening to Christmas music. The only time he came up was when we were jumping and running so hard, he could see the floor boards shake. He loved that job.
Oh my goodness, how do you remember which present is whose without name tags? My husband does all the wrapping, after I put them in a box. Then I add the name tags. That was so funny when Everett said that he didn’t want a girl- he didn’t want another mommy. 🥰 thanks for the chat. Yes Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior.
I kept them in plies and used specific paper and then I wrote on them as I took them upstairs. I only had a few minutes alone so I decided to not waste time looking for a pen and labels. You never know what is going to come out of the mouth of a 4 year old! Merry Christmas
The difference between you and other UA-camrs is the fact that your husband did not quit his job and concentrate in making his income on UA-cam. People need to take that as an example instead of showing and praising people who only rely on UA-cam and then take advantage of their kids to make money off of them. You don’t do that. Also, when there are times when a family is up or down, that is being a real family and not a fake family that a lot of people on UA-cam portray. Therefore, you’re doing a great job. As for Everett, he was pure entertainment when it comes to going to that Sam’s or Costco.
I did each kids presents in the same colored paper and stacked them in a pile. Then when I went to take them upstairs I put names on them. I only had a short window to wrap and didn't want to waste if finding a pen and stickers.
I’ve been binge watching your channel since I found it, it’s easy to see you all are down to earth. It’s also easy to see that you all truly love each other. You’re a wonderful mother and wife and Mark seems to be a wonderful father and husband.

Hi I loved this, you have such a warming voice, the boys are so lovely joining in, hope you all the bestest Christmas 🤶🏻🥰😊👍
Thank you! Thanks for being here and Happy New Year!!
I always enjoy watching your sweet boys. Happy new year.
Happy new year! Thank you so much for being here!
Ha ha… such similar stories. Do you want to come see my hockey game? Yeah my Dad loves hockey!!!🤣🤣🤣🤦🏻♀️. Guess we’re Daddy’s girls through and through!
It's the truth! AND they need to get along with Dad or we would have a problem!! HAHAHA
Time will tell. If we do have another kid I would be happy with a boy or girl but a girl could be really fun!
My Daughter was baby number 6 and had 5 big brothers, l can confidently say she adored having those boys looking after her and they have added so much value to her life and truly made her who she is a very confident young lady.
Watching you wrap reminds me of myself 🤣🤣🤣
Nothing fancy but I got the job done!! Thanks for watching!
Happy Holidays! Very informative...
Happy New Year! Thanks for being here!
what gift has Luna liked the most?
Just found your Chanel and was going through to learn. I was born in Richmond, Virginia and moved when I was 14 and found my husband here in MD. Where in Va are you from?
I was surprised Everett wants to be a doctor, and not a train or truck driver😂😂 Hope he achieves his dream.❤️
We will see what happens over time! The doctor thing was new to me!!
i assumed trucks delivered through Canada
Hi, hope you guys are doing well. I have a question, is your son saying, “tikka masala”? The food he doesn’t like. Sending loads of love :)
Hello! We are doing well, thank you. He is saying that he prefers the "tikka masala" with chicken instead of halibut. He loves seafood but doesn't like it when I make the Costco Tikka Masala (we most likely were pronouncing it wrong) with fish. Thanks for watching!
Oh our Costco does sell the Carmel chocolates Macadamias yumo .
Would love some xx
I found the carmels at our checkout lane too. Look into those Gummie Bears she picks up. Those are soft and the flavors are Adult friendly. I put a bag in for Friends who have no Family. And my Priests, a little something to munch on while writing homilies. But they are additive.
YUM!
I live in Brisbane Australia love so we don’t have them ,they look so good ,plus not sure what the gummies are love x
Hi from Michigan love your shows I'm Lin
I always put wrapping off until the last possible minute. It’s the only part of Christmas I really dislike
I love that story Marcella!
I love your hoodie! Where can I get one?
have you ever been to Barrow?
Lauren you must have wrapped over 100 gifts and didn’t put any names on them you must have an awesome memory 😅😂❤
Do you have polar bears there. They are one of my favorite animals.
Enjoyed the video ❤
Awesome! Thank you!
I love your videos
I'm a boy mom too. People always assumed we wanted a girl. Not so. I always wanted boys. I don't know why people always think this 🤔
Just wondering if you got the names mixed up on the presents ? Lol
One more thing ! Was you surprised by some of the answers to the questions?
Children surprise you sometimes !
BE SAFE AND GOD BLESS
I kept everyone’s presents in the same paper and stacked them in a pile and then labeled them before I took them upstairs! Thankfully no mixups.
Would love to know name of other channels.
Don’t you put names on packages when you wrap them. How do you remember who they are for?
I color coded them this year by paper and put them in piles. When I went to put them under the tree I put the names on yhem
@@ThisAlaskaLife I really enjoy your blogs. I live in Pennsylvania
@@cathyleeper1365 thank you so much for being here and watching, we are so grateful.
Q: will you get another cat?
Awesome video! Did the Holy Ghost teach you how to wrap presents? 🙏🏻 🎁
Nope, the Holy Ghost helps with lots of things but gift wrapping is not one of them. 😏
As for Everett, he was pure entertainment when it comes to going to that Sam’s or Costco.
i assume that it’s harder to be poor in a cold climate than a warm one
What grade are the kids in
6th , 4th, 2nd, preschool
11:48 did you realize that you wished for twin girls?
@thisalaskalife
I don’t see you putting name tags on the gifts. How do you who gets what ?? Sorry for all the ???
I did each kids presents in the same colored paper and stacked them in a pile. Then when I went to take them upstairs I put names on them. I only had a short window to wrap and didn't want to waste if finding a pen and stickers.
