I was asleep then. I had a bad night with my breathing. Sir Greg not this and another reaction out. Well, Marco from Nightwish. So yeah, I'm sorry I wasn't there. I will be on the next reaction now that I know you're the same person. That doesn't really matter, but I'm glad I know. Did you ever listen to that Canadian folk song I sent you? Fraser & Debolt

Outer Space was my introduction to Ad Infinitum. That's a gooder.

I am the storm was the first release by Ad Infinitum. It was used to showcase their sound and to crowdfund the first album

Ok! I had forgotten that they had crowdfunded this before they were signed by Napalm. I do like stories like that; fans themselves funding the artists that they love. Thank you for watching, and for reminding me about the band's history. 🤘🤝

The concept is so cool, and the music lives up to it!

Ad Infinitum was conceived as a solo project for Melissa Bonny, she recorded "I Am The Storm" in 2018 with guest musicians from the Dutch symphonic metal band Delain. She then decided to make it a full band project. Drummer Niklas Müller was the first to join in, Melissa told, she gave him the choice of which instrument he wanted to play as, quote: "he can play everything". Niklas recommended Adrian Thessenvitz as guitarist. Bassist Jonas Asplind completed the lineup. The first album was released in 2020 and later that year an accoustic version of it. By the end of 2020, Jonas announced his departure from the band out of health reasons (he has recovered since and is now with his own band Curse of Cain) and introduced his successor Korbinian 'Korbi' Benedict.
The first album was pretty much symphonic metal. With the second album, they took the production into their own hands and started adding more elements from other (sub)genres, like metalcore or power metal and continued that approach with the third album. Napalm Records, the label they're signed to, recently referred to them as "modern metal".
I don't know for sure but Melissa might actually have been a gymnast, there is a short (and I mean short short) scene in the video for "Lollipop (Candyman)" with her former band Rage Of Light, which might support that. By the way, Lollipop is an Aqua cover (like in Barbie Girl's Aqua), one have to see to believe.
"See You in Hell" is my favourite from the first album.
From the second it's "Afterlife" feat. Nils Molin (Amaranthe). Melissa's husband Morten is the drummer of Amaranthe (and The Dark Side Of The Moon).
From the third, I'm torn between "Seth" and "Upside Down" (Upside Down probably takes the crown but its a close call).

Hey, I'm sorry it's taking so long to get back to you. I'm the other guy. LOL. and I didn't do this reaction. And I'm not really familiar with everything you're talking about. I mean, I know about Dutch Symphonic metal. I love Epica and all the different versions of Nightwish

@@DannyLeeOGT Taking so long? Man, everything within 24 hours is considered a quick response. 😆
I suppose you watched the reaction (🤪), so I hope at least some things from the comment make sense.
The video description states, the song would be "their latest track", which is incorrect, as it's actually Ad Infintum's debut single. OGL Schmitt was talking about the band on this song, which, as I pointed out, was a group of guest musicians, none of which became part of the band later. And I don't mean that in a "how come you noobs didn't knew"-way, we all just wan't to enjoy good music and share about it, don't we?

@@BadMoonHorrors Absolutely. And it's great when people correct you. I mean, that's how we learn. Yeah, when people are just basically updating each other on the information that they have wrong. I've never understood why people take that as a personal attack. Now somebody has a preconceived narrative or notion that they're trying to drill in. You know, I'll close minded point of view. That's only their own. That's the only time I would ever take. constructive criticism as something different. Like I've seen a video today criticizing Rick Beato, actually just completely attacking. That kind of stuff, just ridiculous. Yeah, I used Vid IQ description generator. So there lies the problem right there, and that's what Rick was talking about, how all of the technology that we have to make things easier kind of makes us lazy in a way, lazier than we used to be. And I don't see where he's wrong. I'm a massive tool fan. I know right in the reactor music objectively, how in the hell lol

I love your handle. It's like a perfect title for a werewolf movie like a good one. Maybe like a tormented werewolf. Or depressed one. Man, I'm going to be my partner here and make a corny joke. Would that be worried, wolf? I can hear him saying it.

I love your handle as well! 🐺Thank you for all of this information. I think it is interesting that she recorded I am the storm with guest musicians from Delain, since Delain was originally comprised of ex musicians from Within Temptation. The Circle of Symphonic Metal! 🤘🎻 She mentioned doing gymnastics in her Tea Time interview with The Charismatic Voice. I am familiar with the song she did with Nils. They worked great together! I've also noticed that symphonic metal queens tend to marry drummers (Like Floor and Hannes). 😎 And I have seen Lollipop, and yeah, that was something! Thanks for watching my friend. It's always cool to talk music with informed fans.

All right I really enjoyed this and I thought you did a good job
Now you ask us to let you know what band goes from really heavy chugga chugga to really melodic beautiful softness the best. Well I don't think there's any even competition in it tool as always had the best transitions in music take the grudge for instance it goes from the heaviest hardest meanest growl on Earth to a beautiful soft melodic let go Nobody Does it Better than tool
