Paul did do the slide guitar part in the style of George. Harmonies was taken from 3 other Beatles songs to add. Every part of this is 100% Beatles. The saddest part was the Orchestra had no clue this was for the Final Beatle song until it was released. Unfortunally one member passed away a couple months before it was released and she had no clue she was a part of piece of history
Brings back wonderful memories for me, I was fortunate to have seen the Beatles live at the Cavern Club in 1962, I was docked at Liverpool and was introduced to the Cavern by a Liverpudlian shipmate!
@@chrislofotos I think I would have given up all past concerts I’ve ever seen if I had an opportunity to see The Beatles live at the Cavern ! What a great memory you will always have to keep !
@CosmicMapping He says in the beginning dialogue that the song dropped four days ago, so it was new when they recorded this. It’s just now being posted to their channel.
“I’d like it better if someone else sang it.” Never trust anyone who doesnt like dogs and doesnt get whats great about the Beatles. Thats true in relationships and also on UA-cam! Instant click to a different channel with better taste and musical knowledge. I’m not looking for the rude, lame perspective, but now I know where to go if I ever am. I’d like this channel better if someone else sang it. Haha
I have never heard another person make such a ridiculous statement about the Beatles. 999,9999 out of 100,000 people would say the exact opposite - the DON'T like when other people sing Beatle songs. OMG, who is this guy????????????

I listened to this song a couple of times around the day it was released and my basic reaction was Meh. Too much trying to re-do The Beatles. Too much heart-string-tugging nostalgia. This song was never a Beatles song because it was written post-Beatles with no Sgt. Pepper production intentions. Anyway, a few months after it dropped, I walked into my kitchen and there was a song on the radio that I thought was a progressive rock song I'd never heard before. Then the instrumental ended and the vocals came in. It was this song. Congratulations on nailing the sound and fooling me, but my final impression is exactly that: it sounds like a song from the 70s, but not one that really sticks out or hooks you. Its merit is its marketing: "The last Beatles song." Somehow, even that seems doubtful.
The greatest farewell song ever.
Paul didn't write any new lyrics. Song is entirely written by John Lennon and credited as such.

Incorrect.
Yes, John wrote 100% of lyrics.
Wikipedia miente al decir que McCartney le añadió algunos versos a "Now and Then". La letra es 100% de John.
Happy 84th Birthday to Sir Ringo Starr (07/07/40).

@@Bill_Jones. Yes, and it was amazing how much talent emanated from that tiny smoke filled venue!

I refuse to believe there’s a person left that does not know already know about this song lmao.

@@BandHouseStudios hello from Ellensburg😎
This was actually a song John wrote for Yoko after a tiff they had.
John wrote 100% of lyrics.
❤❤
Paul never wrote any of this, it's all John. Watch the documentary.
WTF? I only like when other people sing their songs......
3 of the greatest voices ever recorded John, Paul and George!!!

You say it best. When you say nothing at all.
Update to Only like when other people sing ....... Thats like saying i only love my wife when other people are making live to her !
I can think of very very few covers that are better sang than original Beatles songs
Sarah Vaughan singing Yesterday is a great one.
Request sir never slip her away THE BLOOMFIELDS. Its a beautiful cover and afternoon delight. ❤
Bullshit Paul McCartney never wrote any part of the lyrics
Oh shit
He did eliminate a verse from the demo
Now and Then, i miss you. Looks like a song that Paul wrote to John but isnt. great song.
