You guys are idiotas. Good video
This was hilarious 😂 loved it AZ was first Nas verse was 2nd Nas the greatest rapper of all time
I know this video is a year old, but I still want to say this. If you don't like how many times they pause, just don't watch. The reason for watching these videos is to hear their analysis about the song.
Preach!
The song they sampled is the Gap Band “ Yearning for your love”
Layne is the GOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
grey sweater needs too listen too Ebonics big l. get his lingo up
We will!
I'm mad late but you should check out the sample for "Hit Em Up"
Layne is the GOAT 🔥
this is huge george clinton and thundercat they produced almost everything. Thundercat is like Midas for music everything he touches turns to gold. There are a lot of samples on TPAB but real music and original production dominates the whole thing. Check it out.
I love the idea of him dipping flat because he wanted to let you know he's in pain! However, it is more likely that in the early 90's the monitors weren't that great, and he probably couldn't hear that he was flat. Second however, I'm going with your theory because I love Layne. And yes, three instruments can make huge sound, especially when you have legends behind them.
Good point!
What is their technical musical background? Likely little to none. They are he, and he either made the beat himself and thought it sounded cool, or a friend made the beat. They probably used a drum machine, some turntables for samples, maybe a computer at that time. I would be stunned if they had any idea what you guys are talking about technically back when they made this
Bro, I've watched a ton of Tech reactions, especially this song. At no point in time has anyone, EVER, stopped it in the middle of the song to point out how he looks like Cheech. That's hilarious. Thumbs up just for that. I paused at that moment and wrote this comment, I have a feeling these guys are going to have a hard time with this one, I guess I'll see
Great insight. Really enjoyed watching you guys trying to work out how he did it in "real time."
There's already a rapper named Duckwrth, so probably won't use that.
Funny part about the guy saying "I would use that part of my name as a rap name -- Duckworth" is that there is already a rapper named Duckwrth (w/o the O) lol. He's also really really dope to listen to as a rapper who leans more towards contemporary eclectic sounds. Highly recommend his newest album "Chrome Bull."
Great review, yeah ive loved this band since this album came out in 98'. im also a drummer and the drums are what i love about these tunes and i agree with you Sully Erna is thee best drummer in Godsmack. Shannon is pretty damn good he can play anything Sully can play but it all comes from the mind of Sully Erna.
I think you got "The Roots" mixed up with a Tribe Called Quest.
Tooo much focus on the instruments and shallow observations from guy on the left. Like, I understand the fascination, but would’ve been nice to know what thoughts were about the actual lyrics and overall vibes. Some channels fall way too far into technicality and it becomes detached and kind of boring… like watching an a.i describe what having a soul is like.
Cool
Can you listen to Blue Notes by Meek Mill if u haven't please
This vid was on point, without all the overly-clowning out parts lol.. But having said that, you guys have very good ears and are very good at analyzing a song.. Respect to that, thumbs up..
Thank you!
@@BandHousePodcast Yeah bro, I did enjoy your vid though.. Thumbs up!
Made it 12min in, but the disrespect & ignorance was too much, m*r*ns!!. I'm out!
Cubes 🌞 plays cube in the movie.
kdot is the best
Chester the BEST singer in the World for ever 💜
Her face totally says everything, she has no idea what this music is about lol. She cringing hard
18:07 welp... some hip hop artists aren't writing their own stuff. That's the blurring line. And boy is it more blurred now than ever. Before AI, star rappers were secretly using ghostwriters and... probably more common in rap than poetry because of the financial returns for dozens of people including the artist, labels, producers, etc... so there's a tone of inauthentic crap out there in hiphop that could never pass as poetry even if the the artist claiming it actually wrote it. That line is definitely ever-blurring.
boreing
Definitely he’s the greatest.
Seek the old earth is the mother's advice
Crack mixed with a little tobacco put inside a Philly blunt
Ruleys or meant combination of crack smoke with blunt tobacco mixed with a little tobacco
This is actually the weirdest, detached/out of touch reaction I've ever seen😂 Who are these people😳😂
Dude your incite was before it's time: He should have been a rock artist. The song with Five Finger Death Punch is a very good song. Pat yourself on the back, you called it.
his voice was somethign very unique in Rap when he came out ; that dude's voice makes you feel like you can punch trough a brick fucking wall ; RIP big homie !
The Main Sample On This Track Is From The Isley Brothers... Oh Yeah & He Just Ran Circles Around Drake... Kendrick Is A Genius! Drake Could Never!!
Yeah say what N W A stands for haha 🤣
8:06 I quit here - bad reaction video. Listen to it first and then analyze it, stupid mf's.
Tracking down wu beats? Yeah allright, good luck.
Suburban white dudes are supposed to love the Wu 😂
Workin on it
Stop talking about what the duck you don't know ,but you wanna profit without trying to understand
Ok!
"Seattle musicians" like that means anything anymore.
It means musicians that live in/near seattle. Thanks:)
Love what you said here! Most of the “best rock singers of all time” are actually some of the worst technical singers of all time
Sometimes!
Layne is the GOAT!!!!
Kind of late, but the change in keys was probably done on purpose to break your attention and think about the verses and words or grab your attention for the next words coming. This guy is very smart and does everything with a reason behind it. I grew up listening to this guy, this took place in the 90s a different time from now where this happened all the time. And it did happen but not him, he knew the guys and they all died so he made the song. I've been to his projects. Now it's wayyy different. But yea it was hilarious how your expressions changed when it got real. Lol
Its perfect!
“He looks like a really nice guy”, yeah well listen to the 4 songs he dropped over the weekend😂😂😂
Hahaha cant wait to hear em lol
He's still a nice guy unless your name is Drake.
It's been awhile. Hope you can get back to the rap reactions@@BandHousePodcast
Y'all need to put more respect on this
To more respect coming soon!
Can we just hear the fucking song
You want me to post a link?
as someone in their teens when Wu-Tang came out, i didn't understand what was being sung either, but you know what, i wasn't so closed minded i couldnt appreciate the skill, the sound, absolutely brilliant, i own most of their albums, including the solos, with all that i grew up in the UK too.
Yup!
I'm kinda new to this channel, and only watched a few of they're videos, so I have no idea what their names are. Anyways, the non ginger guy kinda looks like Eli Manning. That's all I wanted to say. Anyone else see it?
For sure haha
I know I'm a year late to this video, but I'm still gonna comment. I really enjoyed this video. Not that anyone cares, I do know who Ces Cru is or was. I think they split up.
Thanks! :)
