No use of cloud certifications...Experience is must.... If we have experience we can earn certification at any time..I have 2 certificates but no job. Every company need experience
yeah it starts to get good with experience or a degree, CS degree is not easy in a good uni, loads of maths in the first 2 years, then you can for a SAA and you will have good chances of landing a job, or have a lot of exp in the field.@@Ma_ya_vi
It's Fundamental to take the Cloud Practitioner Exam. When you prepare for it, and pass the exam your moral goes up, and you feel confident about your AWS journey. It's like a booster to get started.
As a multicloud professional, yes it is. The Certified Cloud Professional teaches you the basics of AWS services. It is important to have knowledge about a cloud provider. Even though I am a Microsoft Certified Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100), I still passed my Azure Fundamentals first. Finally, employers still list the AWS CCP on their job descriptions so the applicant tracking system (ATS) is searching for it.
@jeremiah9590 AWS has the biggest market compared to azure . Besides Google recently started cloud. So basically AWS since many companies already use it.
I have AWS CCP cert. The exam gives basic knowledge of AWS which is useful in my opinion for entry level tech professionals or even non-tech professionals. Knowing the cloud is extremely beneficial.
for entry level support or business role in IT company, yes it's worth it; for someone to get a grasp and overview of aws, yes; it also gets you comfortable with the aws exam format; aws solutions architect associate matters much more and paired up with hands on aws labs as well as real understanding of the services will get you that cloud engineer job
You pack so much relevant information in to these videos. The "market demand" section and time it took you studying for the Solutions Architect Professional exam ( 100 hrs ) is valuable knowledge. Thanks!
A lot of people underestimate the real power of having fundamental knowledge. AWS CCP is usually taught at the most fundamental level, with examples and illustrations even non-technical people can relate with. That alone gives people the drive and energy to keep going. Fundamental knowledge is really helpful. If you can get the CCP, get it. It also sort of gives you a lot to talk about at interviews particularly for entry level cloud roles, especially if you have a non-technical background..... I dont know wh anyone will say dont do it, it cost few bucks and u can scale it preparing in just 1 month
I found this channel about 1 week ago and I'm currently using the guides found here to study for the cloud practitioner cert. I couldn't be more excited and grateful this channel exist
For me AWS Cloud practitioner was to understand another cloud platform as I was great with azure but wanted to learn just abit about AWS also! Great video 😁🤩
So I failed my Solutions Architect the first time, found your videos and used turtorials dojo 15 practice exam. Most authentic questions and explanations for the SAA C03 imo.
I was able to land a job in the cloud with just a CCP cert, although I believe the certification itself wasn't the sole reason for that. Many factors to consider tbh, like having a good resume, strong interview skills, solid IT fundamentals, some exp in Windows/Linux administration, etc... So yeah, if you want a job in the cloud CCP cert only won't cut it.
That was probably the best rundown of the pros and cons of the certification I've come across. Very well done indeed! As a Program Manager, I was reluctant to pursue the certification, but low and behold my position calls it. As I started to study for the certification two things happened: 1st. I found it more interesting than I thought I would 2nd. My team immediately recognized almost immediately that I was far better questions of them. To the extent, that my Operations Manager asking me, "Are you studying more tech?" To which, I had to answer yes. I have to tell the truth it felt pretty good having a better understanding of the technologies my team is working on. And it's lit a fire in me late in my career that I'm really starting to enjoy. So, I agree 100% with your video...very well done!
I have the AWS CP but I also have other Certs. I think the mix of certifications & experience is beneficial. However if you’re trying to get into tech then it shows employers you’re serious about your learning if you obtain the AWS Cloud Practitioner. It’s always important to start with the basics: fundamentals with anything.
Hi Lucy, 1st thanks for taking the time to do this! For me, I'm skipping the Cloud Practitioner Cert. I gained a Learning Badge for Practitioner & Essentials; these have been enough for my goals. I'm now studying for the Solutions Architect Cert. Yes, I'm skipping the Associates Cert too. ☺ Since there are no perquisites, taking these other Certs doesn't seem either Cost or Time effective. This path will actually have the level of impact I'm looking for within my skillset. Having those other Certs will not change my current status. I'll let you know how it works out 😎
For tech workers: the Cloud Practitioner cert is worth it if most of your work’s in a different cloud, and you want a basic overview of AWS. If you primarily work (or want to work) with AWS’ technologies, you 100% should start with ‘Architect - Associate’. For non-tech roles, yes, you should get the Cloud Practitioner cert if your company uses AWS, or if you want to be slightly more marketable while job hunting.
Hey I hope you don't mind me asking, if I don't have any experience but want to get into data analytics should I just study and take the specialty cert for AWS data analytics? Would that cert help me get a job in data analytics?
I found the CCP great, it gave me a really good feeling about this direction. However, I've found that the next level is much harder and so I'm now trying to climb that mountain. Writing the Associate Architect exam tomorrow, wish me luck. ✌
Thank you Lucy for the video. In the end, you have to make an effort and invest a lot of time for the certification. It's not like you get it for doing nothing. I think that's the beauty of the badges. knowledge with proof. I start small with the AWS Educate "getting started with.." courses and finish with the (CLF-C01). And no, you should try not to believe that certification is a direct door opener into a company. Proof of portfolio or practical experience are always an advantage. Please also note that the (CLF-C01) is only available until September 18th, 2023. The successor (CLF-C02) will be available from September 19th, 2023
I don't know if you have a background in writing/videography as well but this video is above standard. The AWS CCP doesn't seem hard so I want to get it out of the way. I am more familiar with Azure and networking overall, so the only thing to really learn was AWS applications and other cloud framework concepts. Thanks for the vid!!
Appreciate your video I am looking for a career change and have always wanted to work in tech but never thought I was smart enough your video helped me feel less nervous about entering into a new field.
Doing a certification early in my cloud journey was really beneficial for me.. I actually regretted why I didn't get it earlier... apart from the knowledge .. the confidence it gives is really nice :)
Its a perfect video, especially for people at Sr. Management level, who purely deals with Technical Pre-Sales, to understand Customer Requirements and translate to tech team. After this further certification shall be obtained based upon ones strength and interest. 👍
Thanks for the video. I am an iOS developer but my company wants us all to get this certification. I haven't worked much with the cloud yet so I feel like this will really help my backend knowledge as well as help me communicate with backend teammates. I started studying a couple of days ago, and while I get it's a shallow look there really is a lot of information to absorb.
👍 CCP is useful. For those who aren't technical with IT, CCP is useful as foundation. Even finance team, who aren't technical, can get this to understand how the billing works.
I definitely recommend doing the AWS CP exam first. I just took the AWS SA exam and failed, but I’ll need to see what questions I got wrong to better prepare for both exams and eventually prepare for the AWS Certified Cloud Professional exam. I’m usually someone who preaches fundamentals is 🔑 to anything you do. At that point when I took the exam, I figured I had enough foundational knowledge to answer those situational questions in the AWS SA exam. The reason being is because I’ve been applying my learnings from just going into the console and playing with things for my startup before I even got into an AWS CP course through my college and decided to take the AWS SA on my own volition. It didn’t hurt to take it, though. I have two weeks before I can take it again.
Nice video. I got a 50% off voucher so I only paid 50 usd. I used this test to recognize how is the testing platform so I dont waste time for the next test. After pass the test, I got another discount voucher so yes, it worth
I thought about not getting it but after going over some of the topics, I see it's a good foundation to learn the products and how or when to use them. Plus, a small win will boost your confidence. $100 for a training boost is worth it IMO.
TL;DR Taking both CCP and SAA would be 175$, NOT 250$ Great breakdown, thank you! but I do have to point out that the 250$ cost for getting CCP and SAA is wrong. If you pass CCP, the next cert exam (ANY of them) you take is 50% off, which would make getting SAA 75$, so in total, getting both certs would be 175$ (100+75). If your main concern is money, skipping the CCP exam and going straight to SAA only saves you 25$ (175& vs 150$). That being said, there are other factors to consider such as time and effort etc so ultimately it depends on your needs. For those prepping for the certs, good luck!
Watch out for a discount voucher for a CP exam. So you pay $50, pass it easy and get an idea how the exams work, you get a 50% discount for the SAA. So for $125 you get both.
As an IT profession but am new to cloud, I am unsure should I direct go with Cloud Architect or start first with Cloud Practitioner, and your video gives me clear picture on go first with cloud practitioner and pass the certificate and gain confidance in cloud journey...Thanks Lucy for helping me to clear my doubts I had on Cloud practitioner cert.

Hello Lycy, thanks so much for the content. I really enjoyed watching your videos and all the info you provided. I'm an IT student with limited knowledge of cloud computing. My friend suggested to start the SAA course, so I did. However, I later found out about the Cloud Practitioner fundamentals course. Now, I'm unsure whether I should continue with SAA or switch to the fundamentals course first. What would you recommend for someone in my situation?
Probably worth it to learn the basics. But the exam is 100% filled with intentionally “gotcha” questions that don’t really make you better suited to take care of your customers for knowing them. The Azure exam was in my opinion a better gauge on what you learned. Just my 2 cents.
Hello @techWithLucy Is it the correct time to pass Cloud practitioner certification as they are updating the exam objective?. Do we need to wait till September end?
I am currently learning through the AWS skill builder I will try your recommendation courses later but I want to ask is there any technical/practical way to learn these AWS software and services? I'm more of a on hands learner
Hello I am a BSIT graduate but for 5 years I've been working as content moderator. I want to study this cloud, so technically I have a 0 knowledge about this topic.
Hi, I would like to become a Data Scientist and I almost learned many skills, but I have heard having cloud skills keeps me ahead of others and I am confused about whether to choose Microsoft Azure or AWS. So based on that I either prepare for AWS Certified cloud practitioner CLF-02 OR Azure Data fundamentals. Please respond.
If someone's aim is solution architect or machine learning, would it then be necessary to do the exam or would earning a technical badge be sufficient? But then move on, prep, and do the exam for the specified profession?
Your videos have been very helpful to me thank you, I have 10 years of experience in word press and am looking to use Amazon to create personal websites, can you suggest courses for personal use?
Would you say that someone with a relatively strong knowledge of cloud computing in general (few certs and years of experience in Azure) would still benefit from going with the foundation certificate over associate one?
Hi I completed Aws Solution Architect certification at Associate level, but still searching for job with 1 year of work experience could you tell me how to get hired
@TechwithLucy I have two years of aws data engineer experience and overall 12 years which certification is recommended for me do I need to do CCP or any other Could you please guide me there are different certifications available for AWS bit confused.
Oh yes, we use AWS cloud service + terraform to install our 1000+ servers. So maybe lookup terraform/AWS. But note that I work for an IT services company.

The Azure exam was in my opinion a better gauge on what you learned.
Just my 2 cents.
Lucy, I’m about to start my aws school next year, is it the same as IT, and which school should I choose ??
Hi Lucy, Is the Aws cloud Practitioner course a quest game or a actual writing course? I'm having troubles with the info i was sent.
Hello @techWithLucy Is it the correct time to pass Cloud practitioner certification as they are updating the exam objective?. Do we need to wait till September end?
Is an AWS Certified Cloud practitioner useful for UX/UI? Thank´s!
Great video.
Thanks Didi.
Hey Lucy what pathway would you recommend for AI aligned with cloud?
How to get 1st AWS job....? Please suggest. I'm from networking background and want to move in cloud domain.

Would you say that someone with a relatively strong knowledge of cloud computing in general (few certs and years of experience in Azure) would still benefit from going with the foundation certificate over associate one?
Is there a book or course that one should take before? Just to know what you're getting yourself into.
Today i am successfully cleared my aws cloud practitioner exam ❤❤.
Congrats
When I am attempting AWS certification, there is no Cloud Practitioner Exam. So i went direct to the associates, there is no such considerations.
Do you have to register with Amazon before booking for the CLF-O1.? I tried to register but had problems with filling out the settings.
You would need to go on the AWS site and either book the test through Pearson Vue or PSI. What error did you get?
As someone who is new to IT altogether, is this a good place to start?
Can I directly learn AWS Solutions architect ????

@TechwithLucy I have two years of aws data engineer experience and overall 12 years
which certification is recommended for me do I need to do CCP or any other
Could you please guide me there are different certifications available for AWS bit confused.
Are there any resources available to learn real-life AWS projects that companies actually use..?
Oh yes, we use AWS cloud service + terraform to install our 1000+ servers.
So maybe lookup terraform/AWS.
But note that I work for an IT services company.
You could take a look at AWS Quickstarts! They provide blueprints for companies to use
aws.amazon.com/quickstart/
@@TechwithLucy Thank you. Actually, I am asking about real-time project deployment, similar to the architecture and services used by companies.
Hi I am a new subscriber my question is does AWS was required for CCNA knowledge? networking is important to learn AWS please ans me
Hi, I just wanted to know that after getting AWS Practitioner Certificate can I get a job ?
