I really love this talk through your process. Sometimes when a craftsman makes their pieces look so seamless and effortless, it's easy to forget or miss how much planning and time goes into just finding the form in the medium. Really insightful and interesting stuff. Great video, as always, Mike! Hope you and yours are well~
Thank you! I've been thinking that I needed to show a little more of the process and the difficulties that I come across. In the past I avoided showing the defects in the wood and my struggles. But I think it's more constructive to show that there is an enormous amount of planning that goes into the project, even before I begin to carve.
@@StinnettSticks actually I ask my self how long time you been in this work. .. how many years if you don’t mind tell me you done very well we appreciate that thanks 🙏
I have no words for you sir..i think you are just greater than anyone because you live your every project that's why they are so realistic ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It's hard to believe that I've been watching you and Pearl for over four years. It sure hasn't been hard to watch you and Pearl for over for years though.
Thank's Mr. Mike . I love to watch you carve . All of your canes . The rattlesnake looks real . I love to hear you talk . I could go to sleep with you talking . You have a very soft smooth voice . You and Pearl . Have A Blessed Day.
Thank you, Patricia! I seem to have a knack for putting people to sleep, haha! My wife often falls to sleep while I'm talking to her, haha! Have a great day!
I finally scraped together 50 dollars for some tools to remove big pieces. My fingers are too weak from illness to do much with even the sharpest tools. I have gifted all my work. It made people really happy. You started me on this road. Thank you so much.
Wow it's beautiful Sir thank you for sharing this video with us. I have a duck Head cane. It was gave to me as a gift.its nothing like what you Make. Love your work.ive never ever seen anything as good as you do . God bless you 🙏
I just started making little wood carvings out of scrap wood pieces. So far I made a polar bear, a toucan, and a hippo peaking it's head out the water. You inspire me so much sir. I can't wait for your next video. But until then, I've got many more of yours to watch.
A classic case of the “ one that got away”! Interesting to see how you “found the snake”, and as always, a stunning result. Thank you. Stay safe and well.
I believe Michael Angelo said something quite similar about approaching a block of marble: He knew the statue already existed within the marble, he just had to chisel away until he found it. God bless you, Mr. Stinnett 🇺🇸❣️ Another masterpiece‼️
Welcome back Mike,we have bene looking forward to new project. It Is so beautiful that It feels real ,you always surpass you. In the Paradise where you live at least you will be for from all this pandemic terror ,thank you for offering us these wonderful images .A big greeting from Italy ,you are great 🤗👍🇮🇹🤩
Sumptuously! Your snakes look alive, incredible work! And thank you very much for the pleasant music and the views of nature. It's a pleasure to spend time with you
Another amazing job. Pearl nows when you need to take a little break and relax and go fishing. I just smoked 10 rainbow trout this week yummy in the tummy. Keep up the great videos
Thank you very much, Kenny! I usually take Pearl's advise when it comes to fishing, haha! I'll bet those trout were really good! I've got to get some smoking too.
I just new you were coming up with something cool like a snake. I was thinking the other day Mike hasn't done any video for a while so his next carving must be pretty involved and BAM there you are again with another FANTASTIC snake. GREAT work Mike !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well now, I think I might not keep that at my bedside. If I woke up half way during the night like I do and saw it there I might injure myself trying to get away from it. It really does look real. Your attention to detail is off the charts.
Hi, took me a while to get to view this one, amazing the work be “carving”. You found the right snake and placement that was there . Just under the wood and bark! Always nice to see Pearl
Thank you very much for your content, Mr. Stinnett. You've inspired me to seek natural, creative exploits and slow down for a little while. Whenever you post, it's always the highlight of my day because I get to calm down for a few minutes without my worries slithering back and striking me like a venomous serpent, hell bent on poisoning my thoughts. Keep up the great content! I can't wait to see what you carve next.
Two minutes in: "I bet this guy has an adorable-ass dog."
A few minutes later: "Damn right."
