Does not matter. I got an early version late December and had issues. I sent it back, and after a few weeks, a brand new truck showed up at my door. It was a 1.0 but Arrma had included everything that changes it to a 1.5. I think they did this with everyone who sent their damaged trucks back, so no biggie. Try expecting that level of service from Traxxas - they straight up don't give a shit.
just a random fact, idk if you can pin this, if you contact Horizon Lobby theyll actually send you the v2 parts if you have the v1 for just the price of shipping, which is like 25$ USD, theyre literally eating the cost for customers bc they know they screwed up on the v1, enjoy!
Arrma replaced my original chassis which bent without a single hard landing, and sent me these upgrades awhile back. I'm just guessing, but it seems that there were a run of serial numbers that were shipped with poor quality control and mine was one of them. I say this because they asked me send them a picture of my chassis serial number sticker.
Haven't seen or heard of the issue even though it could be true? Actually out of all the original versions we sold nobody has bent anything yet and there have been plenty of wrecks.
@@MachSpeedHobbies I could bend my first chassis in my hands, the new one they sent me is much stiffer.. I wish I could make a comparison video but they made me send the other one back.
@@MachSpeedHobbies Another thing.. the plastic packaging that had the new center tower in it had Kraton/Outcast written on it, so 8S Outcast confirmed.
@@SaviorUnkind Yeah it was pretty evident from the outset that they had left the platform open to create other models and wouldn't be surprised at all to see that coming soon. I will say they are very secretive about their releases until they are ready to leak them to the public.
I've been interested in this model I went to see it in person yesterday at hobby town... It's massive... But the one thing that scares me is the radio complaints I keep hearing... Did they fix and update that? Have you had the same issues and complaints with it???
They should give some extra options for tyres too . I mean not many of us are going to fly over ramps a 1000$ toy so the chassis to bend. I didn't have that issue the car is too tough and strong but that doesn't mean it should be misused. But tyres are an issue and once you bash it onto rough terrain they don't last. I got them ripped off the second bash and no glue can fix them. Its that strong and rolling force that ripped any fix i made. Definitely new tyre options should be on schedule
There are some options with the tires. I used Duratrax "x" series belted tires and wheels with the 24mm hex. They will have to be drilled out to fit the larger axle. I used a 3/4" step bit to achieve this. worked great and looked mean too.
@@MachSpeedHobbies i have already checked these tyres and proline badlands . I know they have to be drilled . Iam sure they work better than stock tyres
Great comparison with the V1 to the V2 wow, 👊🏻😱👍. Great video 👍👍
I just got mine&it has the extra supports,glad i waited .
Richard Gutierrez where did you order from. Want to get the upgraded version not the first version
So glad I waited till now to order mine so I get the better of them

Great to see Arrma resolving design issues super quick. Great company.
Definitely like that one

Can you put 17mm wheels hexs on the kraton 8s
$1,000 truck you got to get it right the first time
I think they should have Utilized 2 of those screws instead of just the one
Good point!

I bent my chassis they told me they couldn’t replace it.

It has a brand new DX3 radio with dsmr. Its new for this shipment as well.
Nice. So this would be considered version 2? Thanks.
I guess you could say it is a revision of sorts yes. newly upgraded supports and totally new DX3 Dsmr Transmitter.
It's not a V2. It's just a revision of the V1. Some call it 1.5.
Hi ich suche diese Sachen hat einer nen link
Heck yeha
Will they also update the 6S ?
Haven't been given any info on that.

I’m wondering if they will be offering free update kits to the people who got the pre update models?
Mid April. It's up on my website https:/wwwmachspeedhobbies.com/shop
I don't know why they didn't use a plastic chassis how stupid they are it's like they want you to spend more money
