    One of the best thing in Your videos is that You show the comparison 'before/after'. This is a great final explanation for the guys who are not experienced in the hobby or do not understand clearly what experts say about particular solution. Keep going, You are doing great job.

    Kool rig!! I recently got into RC vehicles and I am hooked. I haven't broke into the brushless realm yet, still on brushed models but it's still very fun and interesting. I'm currently in a rehab home for recovering addict's and I'm very fortunate that the house allows RC vehicles. I bought my first vehicle one month ago with my federal stimulus check, a Laegendary Racing Sonic 1:16 brushed motor version at its been awesome. All my worries about dealing with my recovery melts away when I am bashing, these videos are awesome to watch as well, thanks for the clean entertainment it's exactly what I need to make my day

      Wow!! To read this and find out I'm not the only one who went to rc cars upon entering recovery!! My first rc was the arrma typhon 2s, I upgraded it to 4s and loved it. My brother got me the kraton 6s v5, and man I gotta say dude if you can get it, do so. It's a lot of fun and is a bashing monster!!! Congrats on your new hobby and recovery!! Its so important to find something you can spend time and money on. The rc hobby is a great way to relieve stress. Once you get into the more advanced cars, I hope you enjoy wrenching on them as much as I do!!
      Great job finding a way to help yourself and dont give up on your recovery, you may stumble once in awhile but remember to take it one day at a time.
      Your an awesome person and an inspiration to others!! Congrats man!!

    One way to do it is stick the Allen key in the spot and heat up the Allen key. The heat will travel and not heat what you dont want heated up. I use vice grips to turn the hex wrench when its hot

    I put center diff in mini e-revo was not to impressed. Work awesome for racing, not so fun for bashing. I put the the stock solid one back in. Getting the perfect slipper clutch setting is the key for the mini e-revo. Front diff with light oil, back with the hevyest I could find.
    Awesome video👍

    Soldering iron is a better option because it keeps the heat more localized. It's hard to use a flame on something like thst without overheating things you don't want hot such as bearing grease etc.

    • @ExocagedRC
      @ExocagedRC  4 роки тому +3

      The issue with a soldering iron is it takes so long to get the heat in there you have what’s known as heat soak. It heats so slow that the whole piece has to heat up, takes a lot of time on larger pieces and aluminum absorbs heat fast. With a torch I can hit that spot, heat that spot quickly and get the screw out before heat soak occurs. Yeah if I get stupid and leave it on too long it can easily cook everything there. For really small parts I’ve used a soldering iron successfully but on the bigger things I prefer a torch.

    • @danielnoname8352
      @danielnoname8352 4 роки тому +3

      @@jhalpinjr This is to lock the center diff - > to have the same power distribution on front and rear wheels. Advantages of this solution are lack or decreased ballooning of front wheels, better wheelies capabilities, better backflip capabilities (I am not sure if it is true). Disadvantages are worst handling during acceleration and worst breaking because both - front and rear - are blocked within the same 'power', I do not know how to say it in english but I mean that there is no difference between speed of front and rear wheels so car can do the frontflip during each breaking on the well grip's surface.

    Thanks for sharing this, I've finished installing the 23t pinion and earplugs, gave it a tiny run in front of my house tonight, it's very cool to be able to get the front end up so easy.
    I've got a Max 5 combo to go in on the m2c chassis, just waiting on a bunch of parts to arrive from the USA. I will wait till I have everything before I disassemble the car and rebuild it. Looking forward to a good run with it soon.
    I appreciate the details they really help to get a clear understanding of the differences.

    coming from racing background i set my transfercase so the fronts dig more than than the back . i want speed and be able to turn at high speed . wheelie is fun but slow to get going plus no fun when trying to brake when geting front end up at 1/4 speed. i use long travel suspention that way the shocks are absorbing the beating and banging . if your r/c is hitting the ground your breaking and bending stuff .

      @@lukasdohle4605 ya, if the center diff to TOO stiff, it'll be hard to keep the front end down, but it is better for stunts that way. With the right balance between stiff and loose, it'll do wonders for speed runs and cornering. Too loose though, and you won't be able to do any flips in the air, and can even hurt overall performance. Ultimately, it's really based on your driving preference.

    I wanted to ask you a question because it looks if you have every RC known too man. How do you lock a Losi 22s drag car differential ? Without ear plugs, I have a locker in my DR10 but can't find anything on my Losi ?

    Have you blown any of the diffs yet? Or do they seem to hold the power in this truck?

    Hey . After you put the ear plug in the center diff. Did you notice that after you let off the throttle the truck slowed down. I mean did the truck not free roll as easy? Definitely saw better performance. But the resistance when let off the throttle. Is this normal? Because of the ear plug.

      No , either your front or rear brake is dragging - causing it all to drag

      I’ve tried that before and I usually end up with problems in such a big truck. Haven’t tried it on the K8s but I broke the locker and center pin with it on the DBXLE.

    Just make a spool direct drive instead of a differential.....positive traction 24/7

      I’ve tried all kinds of grease. It’s just not the same as silicone diff oil or these plugs.
