I believe almost the entire trucking business is a scam. I was in it for a while and it felt like someone was always trying to take advantage in one way or another. To the point that you couldn’t trust anyone. I am out of it now but miss the ride. Stay safe out there.
guys owning a truck means getting your hands dirty and learning how things work if you are the shorts and flip flop wearing type this is what happens . you get scammed
There are three different points in the TMP process including VET Final Validation that would not allow this to be released to the customer. During COVID-19 there was a manufacturing ATD shortage and remanufactured ACM's were temporarily installed. Investigate your warranty trail on this unit. (27 year ETMP Etech)
The driver definitely did that. They like shortcuts. He's recording now trying to say it's Freightliner. I work on trucks and you can't believe how many times they come to me asking me to bypass almost everything on their trucks and i tell them, look for another mechanic, period
I had the same issue when freightliner unscrewed just one bolt located on my CCV causing all my oil to dump out. Problem was fix by tightening up the bolt. Be very careful with freightliner, don’t just trust them.
More than likely have a bad one box that done so computer things it’s running good and efficient and possibly told you they did hella work and charged you.
This a NOX sensor. This is not a scam. If you bought this truck from someone else the previous owner most probably had bad NOX sensor code on the road and the way to bypass it is to plug new sensor and zip tie it to get to the shop. Removing and installing NOX sensor is vey difficult most of the time and requires a special tool.
We use to use empire which is Freightliner to repair our trucks. We caught them red handed charging my old company for work they never did. They were so lazy they would skip over things on simple PMs
They've been scamming us for a while. They sold us an untuned computer and swore it didn't need vin matched. They then charged us all over again to have it vin matched, essentially doubled dipping on labor. My boss is too stupid to not pay it, but the mechanical figured out what was happening.
God bless those good mechanics.
Most likely the outlet sensor. That'll make the truck think it's running at 100% efficiency.
That’s not a nox sensor, it’s a soot sensor. It measures the amount of soot that is coming out of the one box
That's why I became a mecanic everyone is a thief facts
All day everyday. There should be a class action lawsuit. They are all guilty.

I mean you can run like that but the fact they charged you 6500 is absolutely bs

Know, and maintain your machines if you can gentlemen. The dealership will screw you if they can.
I don’t think it was a scam. I think someone just forgot to reinstall it after working on it
