  • Hi
This is my first time using these products rather then traditional sand cement render .
These are great for long working times and ideal as you Knock them up from the bag and ready to go just add water .
If you have any questions please do comment below
Please see other video for beading up.

      Hi ,
No we put a coat on , imbed the mesh and use a bit extra to top up and smooth out. It’s all from the same mix . Unlike the traditional where you do a scratch coat all to dry and the next day put a top coat.
      I hope that helps
      Thanks

      So its 2 coats then

One coat in the sense that there no hanging around waiting for the first coat to dry. With all rendering after you put a coat on you use a feather edge to rule off the wall . But it tirns a two day job Into something you can complete in one day .
      Thanks

@@Blade_rider_1000 so its a sand and cement mix then? ?

No . It’s a carbon one coat render . Rather then applying an acrylic top coat you finish traditionally. And paint to suit.

hi there, apologies for the delay , there are a lot of variables, but usually its best to put a render primer onto it first, something like render grip is very good but a bit pricy.
this should go straight over the top of the primer.
      Many thanks

Hi once you’ve ruled it off & let dry abit do you rub it up with wood float then sponge like sand & cement.

      Hi,
Yeah it does hang around for quite a while . You have a good few hours . Which is great if you have a bigger area to cover .
Then float and finish all in the sand say ,
      Thanks

Hi, good video! What products did you use please? Is it the Weber one coat base render? Also, is the mesh a recommended part of the system or just you thinking it's a good idea to have? Thanks.

HI , thankyou for the kind words, no this was a different product my local supplier suggested, its called a carbon one coat although is applied exact the the same way.
the mesh is just standard mesh but we dd it in so it helps to eliminate any cracking its embedded in the coat and then topped up after.
      I hope that helps
      many thanks

I have a porch that looks just like that one. I want it sand and cement rendered, however, I can not find a plasterer who is willing to do it. They are willing to do one coat render, which is easier to do but twice the price. Whatever happened to sand and cement rendering. One coat render is a rip-off.

      Hi there ,
      Thanks for commenting.
I’m not sure why it retails at £7 a bag. And about a square metre a bag. But the real saver is you don’t need to wait a day or two i between to put a second coat on. So is a lot quicker to finish and saves on labour. And the quality is the same if not better then traditional.
The only thing I can think is they are busy like most trades at the minute and don’t want the extra work or want to charge more .
      Not helpful I know.
      Thanks again for watching Terry

New block work doesn’t need meshing

      Hi,
Not in traditional but you can get fading through of the cola and reduces any chances of cracking . It’s recommended by the supplier of the render. So I like to be sure .
