Remember the old days where LFG didn’t exist in D1, and you had to pray to find someone to message you in the tower? Yeah, LFG could be a LOT worse, it really isn’t that bad at all
@@ShadowDestiny I've always heard that AA is how slow your reticle moves across someone, which is slower for controller (which means high AA), while Accuracy is Bullet Magnetism
For the reload animation one, you have to be moving and sprint once you see the number for the magazine refill. It also works with switching weapons. I do it literally all of the time.
3:36 all aggressive frames have an intrinsic perk: high cals. A variation of them, anyway. It does stack with high cals, but there are diminishing returns.
11:08 huh that's weird, cause as top tree arc strider hunter I was capable of doing such a thing to bosses all the time, haven't tried in a while since void 3.0 but it's worth a try to debunk
16:07 cancelling the reload animation works if you spring right after the number changes, not sprinting at the end of the reload (maybe whoever said this got it mixed up, idk). If the animation is long enough, and you sprint once the number changes, it's noticeable. Not too noticeable/not worth doing it when the animation is pretty short (you don't have to do it if the reload is short anyway). I do this on the calus mini tool all the time
this is probs my favorite destiny video ive ever watched. It was really fun and took a new direction to the content space as opposed to talking about meta or the state of the game. i really liked it. great job!
16:45 what they mean is that there's a point where your slug shot just disappears entirely and the shot will do no damage. This is true because when using a slug like chaperone in a lunafaction rift you can one shot people at any range(without roadborn) untill the bullet's range cap. Basically it will one shot at any range until the bullet fizzles into thin air.
The sprinting thing is an animation bug since Witch Queen came out. It happens at random, makes you feel like you're floating instead of walking or running.
If you want a good example of the “Content Vault” myth just look at Vostok and Eternity being brought back this season. Those maps were both vaulted and they came back
a pvp map, is not exactly 'evidence' that the content vaulted will return, by the same logic the fact they didn't vault the only 2 gambit prime maps when removing the actual destinations attached to them means they could have easily kept everything, they chose not to because they didn't want to pay the data storage costs so came up with this bullshit excuse of removing paid for content. until they fully restore a destination and EVERYTHING attached to the destination ie.e quests/missions/gear/vendors/NPC's then the whole 'everything that gets vaulted is gone for good' mantra is true.
16:00 It depends on the weapon, some will allow you to shoot faster. I think chroma rush is one that will allow you to shoot faster, and some longer reload time machine guns
That fall damage myth, I've always known this waay back in Destiny 1. So I ended up doing this all the time, even just blink jump before hitting the ground to negate fall damage too.
15:31 I have done this multiple times and know for a fact that you can. What you need to do first is complete the floor is lava challenge. Afterwards, take the giant ball and push it slightly off of the ground. Make sure that when you jump on it, it still hasn't touched the ground. Once you land on it, quickly jump and you will go flying.
very nicely edited, pacing is great and the quick intro really hooked me into the video. wierd things can be done with the big traveller ball in the tower by jumping on it, eg launching into the air but also lanching the ball downwards very quickly when it is in the air
8:21 When I got my first pro controller with adjustable triggers I thought the game was broken because I would always be boosting super slow... until I figured out that I had the triggers on the half-pull setting which is perfectly shown by this point in the vid. Never felt so dumb
@@ShadowDestiny In one of the TWABs, specifically the Season of the Lost weapon rebalance TWAB that fixed Sidearms being 999 Velocity instead of 9999 Velocity, it was mentioned offhand that the fully drawn bows are hitscan at "normal ranges". Not sure how it actually works though.

12:50 if your a hunter you can dodge, or for anyone, a sword swipe just before you hit will give you 0 damage on a fall. Works in both d1 and d2 I do it all the time. Very useful and very fun
@@eatingwetfries4285 I didn’t experiment too much with a titan in D2, and I don’t remember trying that in D1 but I’ll pop in next time and try, good to know
that's not the type of range cap we're talking about, we're talking about the actual range stat. Some people believe that increasing the range stat beyond a certain number does nothing, and that was the myth that was busted.
Regarding the reload animation sprint one, they are technically correct, but also overcomplicating it. This is likely common knowledge by now, but you can fire any gun in the game from the moment the magazine is locked into place, even if the reload animation hasn't actually finished yet. As soon as the ammo counter resets, you can sprint or even just straight up fire the gun and cancel the rest of the animation without consequence. I think the gun you used might have just been a bad example because the reload on that is very fast and has little time between the reload itself and the end of the animation.
-Ricochet can happen with any gun, but at far wider angles. You really can't hide from your target to do it. -Titan barriers are just squares, so if the square leaves a gap thanks to geometry, tempest can still hit them. -sticky grenades used to count as objects and were used for Speedrun exploits. This has been patched. -The interceptor thing is d2 only. This is a fantastic video. Very well done and thank you for it.
Okay this video is incredible dude, wondered what you were up to all those hours sitting in orbit and priv matches 😂 Amazing work, thank you MrBeast of Destiny.
15:31 Actually the Traveler ball physic has changed. Before if you jump on it and spam your jump button you get a huge jump boost afterward. After Beyond light came out. The ball physic didnt behave the same and now it just push you away from it.
You need to get the speed buff while in the main area of the tower (that thing that says DO NOT TOUCH, then go find the pool of light), slide into the traveler ball to get it off the ground and then jump ontop of it and ring your next jump right when the ball touches the ground and it will get you some air time. I do this all the time waiting on teammates to get ready when I’m in the tower.
12:20 As a chaperone main I never seen any videos of people testing it after the nerf and once you shown me that. THANK YOU! I guess the ornament I own is still worth it 16:13 I have never known that
5:50 The bow wasn’t at it’s perfect draw state, you held it to long. If it was on the perfect draw it would’ve dealt more damage and the bow becomes hit-scan
@@necrodrake3342 Arrows are affected by gravity because they are projectiles. Unless they are hard coded to become hit-scans on perfect draws, they are always high velocity arrows that give the impression of being hit-scan. That calls into question how range stats and accuracy work on bows. Arrows from what I can tell how accuracy deviation based on how far drawn they are. A perfectly drawn arrow has higher accuracy but loses accuracy if no longer perfectly drawn. I'd have to double check but anything that improves accuracy cones also boosts a bows accuracy stat. Arrows will only inherit a bows maximum accuracy which is why low accuracy bows are bad at sniping but better for DPS. Another thing I'd need to test are if arrow velocity is based on bow frame.
I rewatched this video and finally figured why it felt so familiar I realized that it reminded me of Mr.Beast’s types of videos because of the way he was quickly speeding through the list and as well as the intro lmao
11:07 this myth was partially true. Since Gambit launch (I'm not kidding) I've always play with a one-two-punch shotgun and tractor cannon because it was stun locking the boss like hell (+the debuff) 17:08 if you want precision about this you can look at this video: "the slighlty odd way bullets work in FPS games" by Garbaj
16:24 it goes faster then all other sparrows except the exact one you used to test it. Always On Time shows 160 like all exotic sparrows but it goes faster then every other sparrow. For some reason that broom has the same speed as the Always On Time (which use to come from a raid that is no longer available so now you have to buy it from the kiosk in the tower)
That isn't Always on Time, its just a random exotic sparrow. I've used Always on Time since week 1 of Scourage of the Past, I know that model like the back of my hand, and the sparrow in the video ain't it.
I dunno if you would call that a myth, but on controller if you lightly press the trigger using a hand cannon, you can see the hammer and barrel getting ready to shoot until you pass a certain threshold where it will actually shoot the bullet, but before that you can take your finger away from the trigger and cancel the shot.
I literally love hearing that destiny is "dead" and then I can get into any Playlist in a matter of seconds with a full lobby. Like oh yeah no one is playing this awesome game. Yeah sure
The Ghost cancelling DoT's I think might work, but it's not pulling the Ghost out that causes the cancel, it's when you put it away. When people do it, they are in combat, no one just pulls their ghost out and stares at it like you did in your test. You quick toggle it to extinguish the effect and keep going. Try that and see if it makes a difference? Of course, the possible explanation is the natural burnout of the effect. The clip through wall in VoG I first heard about in the elevator portion of the Scarlet Keep strike. I've been testing it in various places since then. It actually has 2 potential effects, you demonstrated the shielding from direct damage. It will actually cause enemies to not target you. It works that way in Scarlett Keep and VoG. I use it to keep Atheon from shooting at me, it lets callers get in to place and not get shot at by Atheon. The damage mitigation from the wall clip is a side effect from the same thing, but if you do it early enough, you don't ever get shot at. Incidentally, AoE damage will still hit you when wall clipped(have a fireteam member draw Atheon shots to your location and you will take damage, ask me how I know...)
8:40 this is a really important one to prove the truth of, so many PC players try to bullshit and say that controllers are only better cause of aim assist.
Note on the Ravenous Beast Perk still being fully charged. In previous patch notes they have actually made it so the perk will still remain procted when using another weapon, but it has a set timer on it till it goes away. I dont know how long it last though.
I’ve only watched about half of the video at the time of posting this so idk if it’s on here, but I know that it’s possible to pinch a fireteam member with a sparrow against a wall and possibly kill them.
The sprint reload animation cancel thing was true back in the day, but it was patched. The cancel does work for swaping weapons, but since the hot swaping was patched it doesn't do a whole lot. It is handy to know for izi rocket because you can cancel the honed edge reload animation early and do slightly faster swaps, which equates to better dps
I noticed that the 'Halo trick' I used in Halo games works in Destiny too, meaning that if you are reloading a weapon, you only need to wait until the magazine is in the weapon. If you change weapons, or slide after that, even if the animation is not finished, the weapon will be reloaded. This worked for me with every gun so far.
for the tower ball myth, i noticed the ball was always flat on the ground, but you gotta have it in the air, it hits the ground and bounces back at you to push you up
Fun fact with the selfie emote, the camera that you use is actually fixed, so you can have someone push you around and the camera will always stay in the same spot That's why the slide selfie works as well as using a different emote
11:00 the selfie emote locks your camera in place and doesn't take into account if you're moving. Scarlet Keep and Proving Grounds's lift, Vow/Preservation's gondola at the start, things like that will lock your camera in place while your character moves with whatever it's actually on
Bullets ricocheting even without the perk is absolutely true, it is just needs a very shallow angle, best results on puddles around 4 sparrow lengths away lol
Your friend Yerda conducted a proper probability analysis with a confidence interval. That man did it proper. That man def took and passed college level statistics which I have a final on today (5/3/22). I hope that the spirit of Yerda flows through me and manifests during that exam bc I’m struggling mate.

cause no one ever really posts the good, did vow a few weeks ago and got this new light his first clear and he had no mic, a fun enjoyable experience
Remember the old days where LFG didn’t exist in D1, and you had to pray to find someone to message you in the tower? Yeah, LFG could be a LOT worse, it really isn’t that bad at all
8:39 that's not AA, that's bullet magnetism
^that
still counts
same thing.
@@ShadowDestiny not really
@@ShadowDestiny I've always heard that AA is how slow your reticle moves across someone, which is slower for controller (which means high AA), while Accuracy is Bullet Magnetism
For the reload animation one, you have to be moving and sprint once you see the number for the magazine refill. It also works with switching weapons. I do it literally all of the time.
For the gambit one, you have to stagger the boss first. Then if you start to melee them, it infinitely staggers.
3:36 all aggressive frames have an intrinsic perk: high cals. A variation of them, anyway. It does stack with high cals, but there are diminishing returns.
The Arcstrider reflection has huge "Smash Bros reflector" test vibes.
5:26 this works on the Fallen sparrows, tapping shoots faster than holding down
14:15 don't need to sprint
11:08 huh that's weird, cause as top tree arc strider hunter I was capable of doing such a thing to bosses all the time, haven't tried in a while since void 3.0 but it's worth a try to debunk
"High resilience won't save your life" Tell that to void titans popping constant overshields
It was really fun and took a new direction to the content space as opposed to talking about meta or the state of the game. i really liked it. great job!
The sword preventing fall damage is if you swing when you're about to hit the ground. Normal attack works fine.
16:45 what they mean is that there's a point where your slug shot just disappears entirely and the shot will do no damage. This is true because when using a slug like chaperone in a lunafaction rift you can one shot people at any range(without roadborn) untill the bullet's range cap. Basically it will one shot at any range until the bullet fizzles into thin air.
it is true for all weapons tho
The sprinting thing is an animation bug since Witch Queen came out. It happens at random, makes you feel like you're floating instead of walking or running.
11:13 you can stun lock the primeval with Arc hunter + Liar's Handshake, but not with a regular melee
If you want a good example of the “Content Vault” myth just look at Vostok and Eternity being brought back this season. Those maps were both vaulted and they came back
Indeed
I've been on Vostok but haven't seen Eternity yet. Is Eternity exclusive to a certain platform?
@@opica7691 no, at the moment there are no 'platform exclusives'
Honestly I just wish they made it optional downloads
a pvp map, is not exactly 'evidence' that the content vaulted will return, by the same logic the fact they didn't vault the only 2 gambit prime maps when removing the actual destinations attached to them means they could have easily kept everything, they chose not to because they didn't want to pay the data storage costs so came up with this bullshit excuse of removing paid for content.
until they fully restore a destination and EVERYTHING attached to the destination ie.e quests/missions/gear/vendors/NPC's then the whole 'everything that gets vaulted is gone for good' mantra is true.
16:00 It depends on the weapon, some will allow you to shoot faster. I think chroma rush is one that will allow you to shoot faster, and some longer reload time machine guns
11:12 This actually used to work a while ago, the primeval would stagger every time you hit it.
8:21
When I got my first pro controller with adjustable triggers I thought the game was broken because I would always be boosting super slow... until I figured out that I had the triggers on the half-pull setting which is perfectly shown by this point in the vid. Never felt so dumb
Wait I thought it was obvious that bows always have travel time, I never considered them to be a hitscan weapon.
I even heard someone on a podcast say they are hitscan... I wasn't sure, so I had to put it to the test!
Bows ARE hitscan when fully drawn. Shadow is wrong on this one.
@@merof227 well, I mean that makes skyburners hitscan at ads
*spoiler alert, no it doesn't
@@theanomaloushendo4516 didn’t realize skyburners was a bow
That face palm one gonna be blocking snipe shots fully wonderful
Oh yes, I wanna get a clip where I peek a lane with it in trials and save my life LOL
5:07 They still can, but only at very obtuse angles and usually on the floor. Weapons like auto rifles and smg's work the best.
“Teammates can kill you by shadow diving on your head”
Not me doing exactly that after every revive
Thankfully I haven’t accidentally killed an ally. Yet.
This video is very entertaining, do more of these!
Maybe a raid focused myth busting
4:57 is actually true! It might not be a thing in PvP but it definitely is a thing in PvE. Take any weapon and fire it at the ground for a while.
ah cool, test is for pvp tho.
13:31 this actually is possible, according to Cheese Forever, but it requires old Collector armor set from Gambit Prime.
Man, Destiny has my favorite community, today some rando player and I just sat down on the wing of a plane in the Cosmodrome, it was nice
5:12
I can confirm that, it happend for me many times, but only on auto and smg and it was like 1 or 2 bullets for 60 rounds mag in ober 600 rpms, so it's veeeeeeeeeeeery low chance on very specific circumstances, but yeah. It's possible.
12:50 if your a hunter you can dodge, or for anyone, a sword swipe just before you hit will give you 0 damage on a fall. Works in both d1 and d2 I do it all the time. Very useful and very fun
Titans can also shoulder charge to negate fall damage
@@eatingwetfries4285 I didn’t experiment too much with a titan in D2, and I don’t remember trying that in D1 but I’ll pop in next time and try, good to know
16:40 there is a range cap where the bullet ceases to exist, around 25 meters. You get this with roadborn chaperone and luna empowering rift
that's not the type of range cap we're talking about, we're talking about the actual range stat. Some people believe that increasing the range stat beyond a certain number does nothing, and that was the myth that was busted.
@@ShadowDestiny makes sense, just thought id point out
@@ShadowDestiny legendary slugs can't go past 11m so there is a range cap on them
Regarding the reload animation sprint one, they are technically correct, but also overcomplicating it. I think the gun you used might have just been a bad example because the reload on that is very fast and has little time between the reload itself and the end of the animation.
yeah, the good example would be Izanagi's Burden
-Ricochet can happen with any gun, but at far wider angles. You really can't hide from your target to do it.
-Titan barriers are just squares, so if the square leaves a gap thanks to geometry, tempest can still hit them.
-sticky grenades used to count as objects and were used for Speedrun exploits. This has been patched.
-The interceptor thing is d2 only.
This is a fantastic video. Very well done and thank you for it.
Okay this video is incredible dude, wondered what you were up to all those hours sitting in orbit and priv matches 😂
Amazing work, thank you MrBeast of Destiny.
15:31 Actually the Traveler ball physic has changed. Before if you jump on it and spam your jump button you get a huge jump boost afterward. After Beyond light came out. The ball physic didnt behave the same and now it just push you away from it.
yeah it seemed to just push me away!
It still does it. It's just not consistent with how often it happens.
@@ShadowDestiny a few myths were true in previous years
Yeah it still does it I do it a lot idk why fun
Mr.Beast in Destiny????
Naah thats castle
The better version
15:34
This is confirmed, but the ball has to be in the air when you land on it
They were talking so cordially sometimes I forgot they were enemies.
12:20 As a chaperone main I never seen any videos of people testing it after the nerf and once you shown me that. THANK YOU! I guess the ornament I own is still worth it
16:13 I have never known that
5:50 The bow wasn’t at it’s perfect draw state, you held it to long. If it was on the perfect draw it would’ve dealt more damage and the bow becomes hit-scan
ya bows in perfect draw are hitscan ^
You are amazing dude, the amount of edit and effort. I love this content
Riley Reloaded punching air rn
I rewatched this video and finally figured why it felt so familiar
I realized that it reminded me of Mr.Beast’s types of videos because of the way he was quickly speeding through the list and as well as the intro lmao
11:07 this myth was partially true. Since Gambit launch (I'm not kidding) I've always play with a one-two-punch shotgun and tractor cannon because it was stun locking the boss like hell (+the debuff)
17:08 if you want precision about this you can look at this video: "the slighlty odd way bullets work in FPS games" by Garbaj
Interesting video
You can melee-stun bosses, but only Ogre and Minotaur.
Yo shadow love your vids been watching for awhile I’ve gotten better due to those vids love you bro
I fail to see Always On Time in this video.
The traveler-ball summoned by taking out your Ghost in the Tower omgggggggggg. I'm playing since D1's beta and didn't know that. Amazing.
Aim assist a bit different than bullet magnetism, but yes, the guns should perform the same
Aim assist is Completely different from bullet magnetism, And no it Shouldn’t Sit there and track targets that run away while you are shooting them.
I literally love hearing that destiny is "dead" and then I can get into any Playlist in a matter of seconds with a full lobby. Like oh yeah no one is playing this awesome game. Yeah sure
I've held 16 motes. Once. I've played Destiny since Red War.
14:23 you can also do it by just spamming shoot and pulling out your ghost, also works on the eris spawn on the moon
It is handy to know for izi rocket because you can cancel the honed edge reload animation early and do slightly faster swaps, which equates to better dps
rip bilibili :(
@1:18 you can also do this on Europa in the snow behind where that brig usually spawns in the Eventide ruins, you keep right when you enter
That last myth caught me off guard cause this really was the second video of yours that I watched.
Some guns do ricochet though without ricochet rounds. Just depends.
Only energy bullets can ricochet without the perk
I noticed that the 'Halo trick' I used in Halo games works in Destiny too, meaning that if you are reloading a weapon, you only need to wait until the magazine is in the weapon. If you change weapons, or slide after that, even if the animation is not finished, the weapon will be reloaded. This worked for me with every gun so far.
7:11 ha i knew this one, cammy has been using it for forever and probably the one before i didnt pay attention to that aspect
Just got into Destiny 2 again, and I've been enjoying it so far! Hope to find people to do nightfalls, dungeons and raids
for the tower ball myth, i noticed the ball was always flat on the ground, but you gotta have it in the air, it hits the ground and bounces back at you to push you up
Fun fact with the selfie emote, the camera that you use is actually fixed, so you can have someone push you around and the camera will always stay in the same spot
That's why the slide selfie works as well as using a different emote
2:00 that was the case in D1 too. Use to do it on Vertigo with Doctrine of Passing and Super Good Advice
I love this gun, range master work with outlaw and explosive rounds does it for me.
Your friend Yerda conducted a proper probability analysis with a confidence interval. That man did it proper. That man def took and passed college level statistics which I have a final on today (5/3/22). I hope that the spirit of Yerda flows through me and manifests during that exam bc I’m struggling mate.
Awesome video! The myth concerning the cannon on twilight gap is actually true to an extent. The cannon is not synced between players and will appear to launch someone on your screen but their cannon actually hasn't fired. My friends and I noticed this a while ago and thought it was hilarious.
Most weapons can ricochet on metal
The sword preventing fall damage completely worked for me but only when I swung it right before hitting the ground.
The traveler ball myth is true you just have to jump while on the ball I do it all the time and not only you fly but the ball will fly
11:35 yea i was wandering why all those medallions were glowing. Shame its only when close to nightmares. Looks so dope.
Would be epic if you could get them to do that with a shader😎😎
I've been able to get traveler ball launches but its really inconsistent. Took a clip of one of them as proof and posted it to my channel, I'd link it but random links in comment sections are sus.
I've gotten launches in the past by:
-Stay on it too long
-Trying to mantle it
-Jumping on it wrong
and the most consistent
-Jumping on it while already on it
