  • Introducing Samsung's Latest Breakthrough in Plant Lighting: The EVO Chip used in Mammoth Lighting's Led Grow Lights
Prepare for a paradigm shift in plant cultivation as Samsung's groundbreaking EVO chip arrives in collaboration with Mammoth Lighting. This technological marvel brings about a revolutionary transformation in plant growth, as evidenced by trials showcasing larger and more substantial yields, even under identical PPFD conditions.
    Discounts:
Buy 5 get 5% off automatically / Buy 10+ and get 7% off automatically
    Key Advantages:
Plant-Centric Spectrum for Remarkable Growth: Samsung's innovative plant-centric spectrum LED elevates photosynthesis to unprecedented levels, outperforming conventional horticultural lighting solutions. With its 437 nm spectral peak, a shorter wavelength than that of typical horticultural white LEDs, it also stimulates the production of secondary metabolites, such as phenolics and flavonols, enhancing the nutritional quality of your plants.
Microorganism Inhibition: The newly engineered spectrum effectively inhibits the growth of microorganisms like bacteria and fungi, ensuring prolonged storability of your crops.
Industry-Leading Energy Efficiency: Boasting an industry-leading PPE (Photosynthetic Photon Efficacy), this lighting solution minimizes energy consumption, leading to substantial long-term energy savings and reduced operational costs for indoor farms.
    Embracing the Green:
Contrary to popular belief, green light plays a pivotal role in photosynthesis. It's particularly effective at higher PPFD levels due to its deep leaf penetration properties. With cannabis, known for its high PPFD requirements, it makes perfect sense to incorporate a significant portion of green light into the spectrum. And that's precisely what we've done!
After years of meticulous testing, Mammoth Lighting has curated a proprietary spectrum designed to optimize plant growth, increase yields, and expedite flowering times, all while conserving energy and reducing operating costs compared to traditional horticulture technologies.
    Limited Supply Alert:
This remarkable launch has generated substantial commercial demand. Due to the limited supply of these new diodes and production capacity, we anticipate lead times to increase with new orders. However, rest assured that once your order is placed, the anticipated delivery date will remain unchanged.
    Key Features:
Unmatched Performance: Each bar boasts 432 diodes, delivering the industry's highest PPFD and yield. That's a total of 3,456 diodes!
Robust 8-Bar Design: With 880W of power, this lighting system provides exceptional coverage and performance.
Comprehensive Spectrum: Our proprietary blend includes Samsung EVO, High Efficiency 3000k, 5000k, 660nm, 730nm, and Emerald Green diodes, catering to the full cycle of plant growth.
Superior Coverage: Achieve up to 6x6 flower coverage and 7x7 vegetative coverage.
User-Friendly Controls: Equipped with standard knob dimming and an RJ port for connecting multiple lights to an external controller.
Premium Components: We use both Samsung diodes and Inventronics drivers, ensuring top-notch quality.
Intelligent Design: Smart diode spacing and strategically designed bars guarantee even lighting coverage and growth.
Easy Maintenance: Bars and drivers are removable for swift field and warranty service.
Space Optimization: The remote-mountable driver frees up space in vertical settings and reduces heat in tents.
Future-Proof: Replaceable bars and driver keep your system up-to-date with advancing technology.

@keithgustafson7786 what are your thoughts on the spectrum does the green make a difference or just hype

Does the green make a difference?

I own and prefer the original Mammoth 8 Bar Mint White Series over this new one with the added green spectrum. Adding the green diodes removed a nice bit of red/blue from the spectrum. I also notice the Emerald Green version is much cheaper. Is there any reason why Mammoth only makes the Emerald Green version now besides cutting costs?

@@DouglasMcComb Ty for the reply. I do have the Mint diodes in my Mammoth. I have the Mint White version before they added the green spectrum. What I was referring to about losing red/blue from the spectrum to add the green diodes is because it seems they had to remove/replace Samsung LM301B 3000/5000k's. The green diodes weren't just an addition, they removed some of the Samsung LM301B 3000/5000k diodes. Mammoth used to have a spectrum comparison chart comparing it to their original Mint White series and you could see the much higher red and blue peaks on the original. The original Mint White also cost $1000 vs $800 for this new green spectrum version because the green diodes are probably a lot cheaper than the Samsung LM301B 3000/5000k's they replaced.

@@DouglasMcComb I just noticed they don't mention what kind of 3000/5000k they are using anymore. I wonder if they are even still using Samsung LM301B 3000/5000k in the new green spectrum version? That may be why it's so much cheaper. Also I just went back into the data and found their original Mint White had 469 diodes per bar and the new Green version only has 432 diodes per bar including the green diodes. That's a huge difference. Why add green diodes to the spectrum but lower the overall diode count? That explains why the original Mint White has much higher red/blue in the spectrum and also costs more. The green version only has 3 rows of diodes per bar, and the original has 4 rows of diodes per bar(except the red rows).

Although the emerald green spectrum uses less diodes, it provides a higher PPF *2,700 umol/s vs the previous 2,600 umol/sec* the concept is the emerald green spectrum is a bit more photosynthetically efficient and overall a better route to go. Save's the producers money as well as the consumers while providing an overall higher efficiency light. As it seems they also use slightly more power, which is keeping the wattage similar.
      "Full"er" spectrum: With a proprietary blend of Samsung EVO + High Efficiency 3000k + 5000k + 660nm + 730nm + Emerald Green diodes, for full cycle growth."
Found in description on LEDgrowlights as well as on the mammoth website.
Overall it seems to be improved from the previous version.

@@Dr.DiMiTri.710 That is actually false. I have the information right here that came with my original Mint White series. The previous umol/sec is 2713 and the current emerald green version is 2711. The PPE is also 3.08 on the original and 3.05 on the emerald green. Also the "High Efficiency 3000k + 5000k" are not disclosed to be Samsung LM301B like in the original Mint White. There are still online stores selling the original MW08 if you want to check the specs on those websites.

@@Dr.DiMiTri.710 I see what you mean! There is different data it seems from the first batches in late 2022 and the early 2023 batches. I received mine in Feb 2023.
