I was lucky to scoop one off of Facebook marketplace and it has quickly become my favourite boat in the quiver. The surf is amazingly stable and loose can spin till you're sick! as well as very capable to run the river with! welcome to the nova club 😎
It is a dream on a low trent lock. Very agile. I don’t do much river running atm, so super happy to hear it river runs well. I figured it would be my boat for low grade rivers and learning cartwheels.
Ah man, I miss Trent Lock! Yes, I can imagine it being a complete machine on there! Good choice. It's going to be my go-to for flatwater and playful whitewater days from now on.
The Centrafuge came after the Medieval (my dad still uses one of those for surfing) and it was like the Nova as it came in two sizes - the Centrafuge and the smaller Ultrafuge ( which I had when they were new). Think of the Ultrafuge as being Daggers version of the Wavesport XXX.
I love stern squirts on the stern of my Lg Loki at 165 lbs. Getting the bow down is a challenge. I would think the less volume on the Nova's bow would help me.
@@MatthewBrookKayaking surprisingly, I found the lg Loki easier than the medium because it has longer, thinner ends to slice. I found the md Loki to have volume I was fighting. Weird. That may not make sense…. Ive heard people say the lg is a different design than the md and sm.
Happy Easter Matthew and I would also like to hear a comparison between the goat and the ripper I know they are very different but it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on them looking forward to seeing you playing in that nova
Happy Easter! I will do what I can - hopefully we'll have at least a day or two of Spring flows on the Lyn so I can do a comparison on the river I'm most familiar with.
Don't... I've got the mix and supernova. Yes I can flatwater the supernova but the mix is a far better flat water machine. For moving water nova wins all day everyday. But don't sell the mix to replace with the nova. Both are a must have.
Hi. I imagine you would fit, yes. I'm 5'8"ish and fit in with room to spare. But the only way to be sure is to demo one before you buy, if that's an option for you.

Thanks for sharing! That's awesome. So looking forward to getting it out in some surf!
I love this boat. I tried one and was instantly sold. Amazing surfer, great to throw around and stable in both bow and stern stalls.
That all bodes well! I can't wait to get it on a wave!

Luuurvely. Definitely the boat I'd go for if I had a grand and a half for a new one! 😄
Yeah, I am very grateful for my work having a trade account - I would not be buying a new boat otherwise!
There was a bunch of blemish versions not that long ago. I got a great one just before Xmas.
I have an old Centrafuge and a Supernova - you can see the family resemblance between the two, both great boats in their own right.
Oooosht! Is the Centrifuge of an era with the Medieval? Fantastic series of boats.

@@earthwisdom101 no doubt. But if you're in a large Loki, I imagine you'd want a Supernova, not a Nova.

No, that makes perfect sense. Different sizes of ostensibly the same boat can often be very dissimilar.

Just purchased a nova myself because its a comfortable full slice and those two things don't normally go together.
So true. It's such a revelation being this comfy!
Maybe I’ve been listening too much, Elvis, but your voice sounds like a man who just fell in love
Well, wise men might say so...
What is Nova like compared to the Jackson Mixmaster?
I have only used a Mixmaster once, and I wasn't overly enamoured with it, to be honest. But I couldn't do a fair comparison, as it was so long ago.
Oh cool, thinking of replacing my Mixmaster, this might be the one. Paddled the Goat in India, I really liked it

@@mr9246m ok interesting point, I tend to use my playboat for flatwater, but the Mixmaster is fun too, thanks for the tip 👍
hello, could someone help me because I am 1m79 tall and I don't know if I can fit in this boat. (5′10″)
