Hey Phillip, thanks for putting this together. I'm amazed at how fast you can acquire a target, settle in and break the shot. Nice job guys!

I wish matches like this came to the south east. While I would not be very competitive, I would love to shoot NRL hunter just for the fun of doing it.

I've attended a few rimfire hunter matches, and they are by far my favorite to shoot. Great to see the breakdown of your prep, and some behind the scenes details. It is nice to see more examples of teams running stages and how each of you operate. Looking forward to the rest of the episodes on this match

This will be my first year doing any form of competitive shooting, so I'm trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible. This series is going to go a long way towards helping me understand NRL matches and see what I might encounter. Again, thanks!

I've tried my hand at three gun and PRS type events in the past, I was never that thrilled with either, but this NRL Hunter Series scratches me right where I itch. I need to learn more about rifle setups and limitations within the series and which calibers guys are running. I think I could get into this as it combines my love of hunting with long range shooting but removes some of the "gamer" types and vibes from the scenario which I never enjoyed. Thanks for sharing this video and if y'all should ever offer a class that focuses on this out at Ranch TX be sure to let us know, I would attend in a heartbeat. Please do more NRL Hunter videos, I am hooked.

It's a super fun format. As long as you don't get caught up in the "competition" aspect of it, it is a great way to train you on simple things like gear management, finding targets, making a wind call, and shooting from natural/field shooting positions! Thanks for watching!

I load more than eight rounds in a mag, that way if I have a misfire or accidentally eject a live round…I don’t have to hand load a round to fix it. Granted, that would only come into play if I miss all my shots anyway…which isn’t very likely but you never know. I always load nine or ten in my mags.

That much noise and moving around on a deer at 240 and elk at 500, means those animals are gone before they ever put the cross hairs on the vitals.
I also don't like the competition seems to promote a center of mass hit... Which would be a gut shot on both as well. I'm not sure picky about the predators, but for these two, it should be a reactive vital insert on the silhouette.
Something else should be done to judge noise discipline and concealment, as that's true to actual hunting.
I know you guys don't set the format, just my observations on a competition that's supposed to mimic hunting.
Otherwise looks like a lot fun and a good way to train. Nice content guys.
