i love that reaper is an extremely deadly individual who had an extremely serious job but still jokes around and acts goofy and looks to be having a great time doing these things. just makes it extra entertaining knowing the seriousness this man can bring when needed but is having a great time shooting blocks of soap of all things, while riding on demos shoulders lol

I'm in corrections (another huge PTSD giver) and you HAVE to keep it light. Working on 2 different shifts, you can really tell the difference. My last shift, the tension was palpable. I actually had a Cpl. ask me if it was always that negative. I was to the point where after a bad night, I wouldn't even want to leave my truck going home. To make matters worse, the inmates responded to it, and it made it even more stressful.
This new shift, we all bring food, no ones yelling at each other, the inmates aren't trying to kill themselves/others, fights are down, and we laugh a lot. Even with the inmates. It still gets dark, but it's night and day.

I spent a week down in TX with Nicky as my instructor. His sarcasm is at legendary status. He told some of the most ridiculous stories but always maintained a dead pan delivery. If he told a borderline ridiculous story you had no idea if it was true or not. Great guy to hang out with and a fantastic instructor.
When he tells the story in matts video you could literally believe him dude its great. Evern better to knownhe is that way in person. Hahahaha.

Its a free college ride, free healthcare forever, and the added monthly payments you get on top of an added chance of something like losing a finger and now you get disability. I think being chill is one of the essential qualities of the sniper. You need patience and you need precision. And then more patience. Actually a lot of patience. And nerves of steel.
I remember a comic, it showed two snipers on the different sides, both had boring/chilled looks on their faces, and the comic showed their thoughts about different peaceful stuff while they were waiting looking through their scopes.
And then one of them took a shot because there was an opportunity, and hit the other.

Scott uses lighter loads when shooting his 500 mag a couple hundred less grains onvpowder makes a world of difference . Scott can attest to this being a factor. When the slap round he shot dang near killed him when it blew up his 50 cal. it was due to the load being larger and creating more pressure than the gun was capable of containing. Same goes for firing the 500 mag with a load with less power, it causes less shock to the shooter. If I'm not mistaken the load feeds Matt uses are 700 gr. Compared to the 500 gr loads Scott was seen shooting from his 500mag. Still the 500 mag. is one beast of a handgun.

Whats really awesome about the intro is that the guy that he is referencing (tyler durden from fight club) is basically the main guy's 'ideal version of himself'. As in Tyler is in all aspects how the main character would like to be, if he could choose freely.
So basically, in this intro, Matt is saying that Nick is the ultimate man in Matts eyes, and if he could choose, he would be exactly like him.
