Re: Etho's dry humor -- when the life series had Etho and Cleo starting to interact more, their shared dry humor was one of my favorite parts. Cleo can riff with Etho so well
For years we mostly saw Cleo with Joe. This is fine - they have good chemistry - but recently there's been more mixing and matching and 100% the Etho-Cleo pairing is the best discovery.

@@nohbleegottani2766 Careful with the old there. I gave up my wfh pc during lockdown for our kid. I use a laptop on the washing machine. Two bits of wood for air flow and magazines for a mouse mat. I take it off when its going. I have a tech cupboard too. Found a pair of wireless headphones in the laundry cupboard but need to find the old charging cable for it as S23 no longer has a jack for head sets. It's the one before USB C and D. Glad that we got a tablet to replace the 3rd hand ipad too. The cables are so brittle and not inter-changeable. Sometimes things are relevant for content and some are not.
I went to my (Dutch) garage this week, listening to your podcast when I drove up. The guy who helped me got into my car just before I pressed pause. He looks at me, says... I know that voice, it's Etho... do you play Minecraft? So yes, etho is recognized by its voice, even on the other side of the world. It was a fun conversation, and if he didn't know about your podcast yet, he does now.
Impulse and Skizz joke, but there is a running knowledge with fanart that when you’re drawing kakashi OR Etho there’s a 50/50 shot of the art making it to the wrong circles lol. Also love this interview confirming what pretty much Etho fan knows, which is that we love him for being him weirdness and all. Etho says he doesn’t get new viewers, but I only started watching him a year or two ago! And I know dozens of people who started watching him recently as well. I don’t think he gives himself enough credit.
@@426shelby426 Well he has also been part of Hermitcraft for a decade almost, 2015 I think he joined. But I assume you mean when he returned from his break from Hermitcraft.
Etho and Bdubs have such a .... zen ... about just making videos and the process. Where they clearly have found work life balance. Oddly Bdubs has some of the best production in the game, and Etho is like "I don't like doing thumbnails...so I don't" so they are kinda opposites BUT it all feels genuinely them and that's why it works
“I just wish you were better at this game” sums up Etho’s wonderful sense of humour, and why so many people love him. What a special interview this is.
Everyone else' answer: we're going to do a more relaxing season and hang out more :) Etho's answer: we're old :D LOL. 54:04 But for real, I love the vibes of season 10. It's chill and low pressure. --- After listening to the audio on spotify, I think Imp and Skizz are great podcasters. they have great questions, great segues , if the guest is having trouble answering, they always jump in to help and follow up. That's skill. --- Impulse talking about how a little mistake could lose viewership.. and i'm just remembering that one time a couple thousand people literally stayed and watched 54 minutes of Etho stuck in the decked out 2 pit. --- Skizz is right, Etho and his situational one liners are just so good.
Etho is my favorite entertainment creator. Hands down I would rather watch Etho than a movie or tv show. Super cool to hear him speak candidly in this format. Thank you imp and skizz!
I absolutely hate criticizing because I love your podcasts, but I wish there was more Etho talking. There were a lot of Skizz and Impulse stories, but I wanted to hear more Etho because he isn't usually so open about himself. But now I'm thinking maybe he did the amount of talking that he was comfortable doing and you both had to fill in the gaps. 🤔
Their sheer excitement creates an amateur hosting stile unfortunately:/ I assume they are kinda caught up in chatting. Since its somewhat a casual thing for them actually. I dont knowww. But its poor, surely
There's so much more they could have let him talk about like, Team Canada, love of plants, favorite hc bases, pet peeves, any actual pets, funny hc stories, favorite music & weather & foods, and more.
@@Ligands23It might not be nostalgic, the the new versions of TFC are absolutely amazing. All the mods team has made a couple modpacks with it in it, I highly recommend those.

Hey guys, legitimately do love the podcast and have listened to most podcasts. Want to offer some constructive feedback though as mentioned in the previous episode, choose to do what you will with it! Often times when you have guests, it feels as though the focus is taken away from the guest too often. If I had to roughly estimate the % of talking time - it feels like you both talk for 75% and the guest talks for 25%. And sometimes it can become stories centered around you both instead of hearing stories centered around the guest. Not that the occasional story from your end isn’t welcome - it’s just too high volume. Of course we love hearing you both speak (otherwise we wouldn’t listen to the normal podcasts of you both), but when there is a guest on, my personal opinion is that the guest isn’t given enough clearance to prattle on with their stories enough and would like to hear more from them. Again, all love, love the podcast and keep up the great work!
Was looking for this comment - I think they're doing their best to just relate to one another but I do agree the focus starts to pull away when one goes on a tangent instead of involving their guest and their perspective. Gets kinda frustrating when you notice it and it keeps happening lol
I have to agree with this. Knowing Impulse is a fan of Hot Ones, I'd love if he could take some inspiration from how Sean Evans does his interviews. He asks the question, allows the guest to answer fully, then typically follows up with another question based on what they've said. He really puts the focus on the guest. While I do understand that Imp and Skizz are doing this as a podcast about themselves as well, I think a good portion more time could be spent on having good, focused questions for guests to answer. A lot of it becomes rambling and off-the-cuff, which isn't bad, but isn't nearly as insightful as it could be. This is particularly true with someone like Etho who has a good amount of mystery behind him. I mean, who better than someone like Impulse, who's known him for many years, to know where to focus some more interesting questions without overstepping his bounds and asking for too much? It requires prep time, and I don't know if they'd be willing to spend that time doing so considering everything else they have going on, but I think it'd be really interesting to see.
@@Skorpeyon there’s so much I wish they asked Etho but they instead went on their own stories and took up the time. I hope they see the criticism and improve the next time they have a guest.
For some reason Etho reminds me of the mysterious stranger in the early 80's, that walked into an arcade and beat 'Dragons Lair' without continuing. Then proceeded to hang out at 'Altered Beast' and 'Golden Axe' for an hour. The world needs a T.I.E.S. couch co-op stream!!!
I just want to to say that I am a new viewer of Etho. I only started watching in November with Secret Life. It was his charming personality that drew me in; particularly his commitment to playing the part of a quantum locked "weeping angel."
5:56 Etho being Etho, the guy is himself on UA-cam, he makes amazing video, he has certainly changed over time for the better, but some things never change and that's why we love him ❤
Etho, please put out all this content for the viewers! Even if it's just an archive on your main channel. I desperately wanted to watch your perspective of MCC and Don't Starve with Br0dy, and I want to watch you play every single game that exists! (Like Hades, Stardew Valley, and Subnautica)
We already had around half on the Hermits on a singular chair this season, so I'm sure they'll be able to find a way to all be on, in, or under the couch.
The good thing about life series and this season in particular for Hermicraft, is that, learning more about each other is enabling all of you to learn "how" to get the most out of each other. For example, the task of getting a wither and a warden and make them fight... that kind of task was perfectly tailored to get the best out Etho, his learnt skills and the love of mischief that's shared with Grian.
Etho did change his skin once, but it was just altering the Kikashi skin to have his face hidden behind the chest. He's also done some custom thumbnails, one was a troll one from UHC I think, were he had 2 hearts and a creeper fell, but that never happened in the episode (EDIT: I found the UHC episode - Ethos's Mindcrack UHC S10: Episode 2)
idk why but I absolutely bust out laughing at that thumbnail. Thanks for pointing it out, I don't remember whether I just never noticed it or if it's just been too long.
Impulse I'm gonna be real, I love your phasmo and among us content way more than anything else (except maybe the podcast). I love the more relaxed vibe and the natural silliness that happens, and I get really invested in your progression. I like the mc videos too, but something about your streams are just special
I honestly love that Etho takes breaks when he needs them. It’s an important thing to recognize in oneself when a break is needed. Plus, I just don’t have the time to watch daily uploads for any UA-cam creator. Makes the occasionally released videos all the more special and drives my desire to watch.
My daughter is 4, and I may be a bad parent for starting her on it so soon, but she is slaying at mario cart. She can get first regularly on easy. I was watching her play and all of a sudden I was watching her drift boost. I DIDN’T TEACH HER THAT! She gonna be whooping me in no time.
If she want to, keep playing with her. Playing mario kart with my dad was great fun until i beat him to often and he stopped. That took all the bonding we had away. Quality time is very good (unless forced)
You're not wrong ... My nieces and nephews all grew up playing MarioKart with me. While I don't play it as much as I used to, we'll all get together at my mum's place at Christmas and have a tournament, and now that they're in their 20's, they demolish me LoL It serves as a reminder too ... We keep them on their toes when they're young, but they keep us on our toes as they get older.
Dear Parent, You’re not a bad parent for letting her play Mario Kart. It is a game which is safe for children, so that checks out. Just make sure she has other hobbies and doesn’t get too obsessed. Sincerely, a person who is still working on stopping his (probably unhealthy) video game obsession. (It’s less of an addiction and more of a lack of other hobbies.)
At this point I just see Kakashi and Etho as the same entity. And I love it because Kakashi is my favorite fictional characters of all time and Etho is my favorite youtuber of all time!
Etho and Kakashi are both entities who make my brain go “I want to be friends with that guy!” Although they are far from the only ones to trigger that response from me. 😅 (And I don’t get romantic feelings, so wanting to be friends is pretty much the highest compliment I can pay a person/character.)
I appreciate you guys letting the episode go long. I know sometimes you are on time constraints trying to do multiple podcasts in one day so you can't always stretch it. But sometimes it feels rushed at the ends, so the conversations seems to end abruptly. This was great!
I forgot what season ConCorp was in, but I remember Cub working so hard to populate the campus with Villagers, learning the AI so he could work out daily pathing so it felt like the grounds were alive with people going to and from their jobs. Would love to see Mojang make building something like that more feasible.
Definitely Season 6, because that's when I started watching Hermitcraft and ConCorp was there. I really liked how Tango made villagers behave, but then all that became moot when Mojang changed villagers around.
Thanks for the extra Etho content. He has been a part of my life all through college, and across my over decade long career. I always look forward to seeing an Etho notification. His voice is instantly relaxing to me. To comment on content upload schedule, I’m always down for more Etho content. Even if he put up an “intermission” type episode to troll someone for example, I’ll be there 😂
So much nostalgia in this episode! "Ready Player One" is by Ernest Cline. I do recommend reading the book if you feel nostalgia for that 80s era of gaming. Orson Scott Card was the author of "Ender's Game" among others. My first console experiences were actually with my father's Atari 2600 system, playing Q-Bert, Centipede and E.T. The NES was where I really got into games, though. Blaster Master was definitely difficult (and every time Impulse mentions it, the music starts playing in my head), but it wasn't as hard, to me, as the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game on NES. Skizz, I played Marble Madness, too! Love that game! The arcade game that Skizz mentioned which was very narrative driven sounds like it might have been the original "Dragon's Lair" from 1983. I never played it, but I have heard stories. I didn't spend much time with arcade cabinets growing up. The pizza place around the corner had the original Mortal Kombat cabinet, so I played a lot of that. I finally got to play in an arcade more often in University in the 2000s, and I have some really good memories of playing "Silent Scope", "Soul Calibur II", "Street Fighter III", and "Marvel vs Capcom 3". A wonderful episode, great guest! Keep up the good work!

I LOVE the guests you guys have on the podcast, and I enjoy your content a lot. I am noticing that you guys talk most of the time, sometimes talking over your guests. I would love to have the guest be allowed to ramble and lead the conversation to new places.
Its my favourite game series I have never played. I couldnt afford/find a copy when I was a kid and now I have all the responsibilities as a parent some day I will get there.
Etho said he doesn't get new people. I only just recently found him and I'm bingeing content as much as possible. What a guy, man. Idk who kakashi is, but that's always etho to me. Today's the best day per usual with more etho content AND it's an imp & skizz podcast so it's automatically a win-win. Trying hard to savor it all, but i wanna binge it so bad. I just know that later in the day I'm gonna need the etho content to brighten my day, so alas I'll have to save a minimum of 30 mins for later (and it makes me wanna kick myself in the rear for doing it). Y'all are quite literally the best imo. 10 out of 10, would recommend. There guys, is that a better 10 of 10 for you? 😂
i hope etho knows that despite being aware of him for years [i've been watching hc since s6 so i saw him from other povs + it's hard to be a fan of minecraft in any capacity and not know who etho is] i'm a new fan. i only started watching him at the start of hc s10 and i've been going back to watch all his old content. they all hold up very well and his videos are entirely my style.
This has to be one of my favorite episodes of the podcast yet! Not only is Etho super awesome and is it amazing that he's even here on the podcast in the first place, but the topics discussed include a few of the things I enjoy (Ready Player One, old-school Nintendo games, the Life Series, MCC, etc.)! Also the more it's brought up in your conversations, the more I think that the Buttercups vs. Goat war and the Perimeter prank it led to kind of saved Hermitcraft from the UA-cam-grind-induced slump in Season 8/9 (and even towards the end of Season 7) by allowing you guys to realize what truly made the series so special. The difference in vibes from back then and Season 10 is night and day!
Hey guys, love the podcasts! Wanted to drop you a note because I remember at one point Impulse said something about how minecraft UA-cam has kinda shifted to past tense in many new videos. I gotta say, nothing makes me more bored as a viewer than a laundry list of things that someone has already done. When I start a video and someone is telling me what already happened, (as in “first I did this, then I did this”) I rarely watch the whole video. Personally, I feel there is much more excitement and suspense when the person narrating the video brings me along on their adventure as it’s happening. It’s way more fun to watch and it feels like I got to be part of the story, even if it’s just anonymously through a video. Wanted to share my two cents, I love all your guys videos and they are super fun to watch just as they are. Hope you’re having a good one!
Great interview, guys! I can really tell you are all friends and made an effort to make Etho comfortable in this setting. I also appreciate that just like with X, you kept your questions very focused out of respect for their anonymity.
I really love that you all and the hermits have prioritized hanging out and just having fun rather than forcing yourselves to go bigger and better with everything, because the whole reason I think I watch hermitcraft, and other smps with the same or relating members, is for the funny interactions and friends just being friends. sure, the builds are cool on their own, but it's really neat when ya'll work together to make that something or interact with what others are doing with their work on the smp
I work in a toyshop. We sell Naruto things. All my coworkers don't tell me we have a new Kakashi in but a new Etho. As I will never say anything else but Etho haha. And yes i have an Etho (Kakashi) plush as it was the last one so had to get it and i now stands next to my TGC Xisumavoid special card... on my workdesk at home.
First time viewer, one thing I’ve noticed is that your questions to the guest are long running? Your question is established then stopped short and more is added to the question to clarify. But I think asking the broad question without extra clarifications may give your guest more avenues to answer.
Thank you guys and thank you Etho for coming on the show, totally loved it! 😁 And want to say I think you're absolutely right about the change in tone on HC this season... It's so much fun as a viewer watching you guys hang out and goof around, and I'm so glad you've shifted focus a bit from megabases etc. to do more group content. I think you've all struck a great balance there. For similar reasons I'm really looking forward to another Life season (well at least I hope it's in the works!) and whatever else you guys decide to do. You bring a lot of joy and laughter into my life and have turned a bad mood around so many times... Thank you so much for what you do🙏
Loved the podcast! Although I would've loved to hear more about Etho's past like Team Canada, Etho's introduction to Mindcrack followed by Hermitcraft. Kinda felt like the questions and conversations were more close to recent events. This felt more like a nice conversation at a Café or a Pub, rather than a podcast but I like it!
I don't want to sound insulting or negative. Please don't take this in the wrong way, but I felt like Etho barely got to talk around 20 minutes in this 90mins segment of the podcast, I think a bit of that has to do with Skizz's storytelling and how he's able to connect the dots from the current topic to be able to perfectly recall the past relevant events. I do like it, but it feels like the guest's spotlight is kinda taken away a bit, where it just barely removes the impression that we're in a podcast. Love y'all, just wanted to provide feedback based on how I felt.
I found Etho in 2020, thru Team Canada shenanigans and then after watching all the old stuff I went looking for current which led me to Hermitcraft. So Beef and Etho are why I’m here. 😏
I love the hermits because their older and balanced people. Maybe it's just me but the older I get the more I seek out people who are more grounded in life and in what they do. Great stuff and I love Etho!
Etho's humor is like mine so I know that in school it was not understood. He's right: If you get it, you get it. In school it was mostly the teachers who understood my humor.
Listening to this episode was so fun!! It was interesting to hear that Impulse was unsure about making any content that wasn’t Minecraft. I started watching Impulse because of his Phasmo vods, I knew of him for awhile before becoming a regular viewer but i had never seen any of his content, that is until he started uploading his phasmo vods regularly, and now I watch every stream and every video because he makes great content. Long story short: I’m glad Impulse started playing and uploading phasmo because idk if I ever would have discovered how great his content is otherwise.
Can't articulate this but Etho and Toby Fox feel like diverging segments of the same path. Mostly anonymous, everything they make sends thousands of people insane in the best way, only difference is one went into UA-cam and one went into programming XD
I think it's really unfortunate, that Etho doesn't get too much time to talk in this episode. Most of the time it's impulse and skizz talking about their experiences, which I really like hearing normally. But when there's a guest, I would like to get to know more about the guest and let them talk.
so fun hearing etho talk w u guys!!!! i've been a fan of him since i was 11. Etho is the only youtuber i've never grown bored of& has been such a comfort throughout my quite terrible life
I saw a comment a while back that I vibed with so hard that I want to bring it up again. Having watched Etho first and gotten to know him/his humor, then starting to watch Naruto, it's like Kakashi almost has more baseline credibility? Familiarity? I don't know if I'm wording this well but basically I like Kakashi more because I associate him with Etho lol
I basically started watching Naruto and Etho at the same time, completely by coincidence. Don’t think doing it that way directly fed into my liking either Kakashi or Mr. Slab, they’re just the sort of characters/personas I already have a long history of liking. One of my sisters was like, “Of course you like Etho, he’s so Technoblade coded!” 😅
I’ve been watching Etho for 13 years. I got an Xbox for Christmas when I was 10 with my brother and we downloaded UA-cam to watch Minecraft before we played it. Etho was the first we saw. He’s the only UA-camr I still consistently watch, as soon as it releases, and I don’t even play Minecraft anymore lol. He’s my portal into the hermitcraft community and it’s been super cool to watch! Thanks for this episode ❤
I love the chemistry between these three and it feels more relaxed as time goes on. Enjoyed this episode a lot, possibly because it slipped in to 3 friends chatting about shared experiences which came very naturally to all of them. Even resulting in Etho asking Impulse the question hehe.
My 8 yr old saw a Kakashi plush in Target and wanted the Etho doll so bad. Love the stuff guys, and so happy you were able to get Etho involved in the Podcast!
Hey Skizz, watching about 40 min in, you're talking about feeling like you don't have the bandwidth to be more buildy like your peers on HC. Remember that what makes your content special isn't necessarily building skill or scale. We're enjoying riding along with your journey because you're an amazing entertainer while still feeling a genuine, relatable guy. I never miss your vids and that's in a very busy life. You're always, as Imp said, "Worth watching".
I have been wanting to make this comment for a few episodes. I am loving the vibe on this season of Hermitcraft. Also really enjoy when you have other hermits and Minecraft creators on this podcast. Getting to know each of you means more to me than some amazing mega build that is mostly time laps. Watching you all enjoying each other's company, random topics that come up. the jokes and pranks. It feels like you are all having more fun and that makes it more fun for me to watch. Now don't get me wrong, the builds are great. But the slower pace is also more enjoyable. Listening to Pearl explaining why she changed that block color, Tango picking the floor blocks for the shop, Impulse talking through the subway build. Skizz...just wish you had more time to spend on the server, your humor is awesome. I am older than both of you and don't suffer from popcorn brain. Please let all the hermits know how much this viewer is loving them all. Thank you and them for all the hard work and the community your all building.
Impulse talking about not playing DO2 and instead going all in on Phasmo was perfect for me too. I loved getting to watch something completely different and that clearly Impulse was totally into. ❤
I know Impulse (maybe Skizz too? who knows :D) will probably read this, so I mean this with the utmost respect. I Love and was super excited to hear Etho was on this Podcast! I kinda feel a little disappointed after listening to both parts though. At times, it felt like it was less of an interview, and more of an Etho worship session. Impulse and Skizz both dominated the Conversation. After Etho would answer a question, especially if it was a short answer, one or both of them would go on about their own story, or why this made Etho so amazing. Usually for more time than Etho too. But I kinda wanted to hear more Etho Lore. Stories of his childhood, siblings, college days / major, family business he helps to run, etc. I am sure that there are probably reasons for this. or if it was unintentional, maybe yall just got caught up in fanboying like the rest of us would have too? Or maybe Etho didn't want to talk about his own life and maintain his privacy. And I feel like that could be respected without the Interview coming off as an "Opposite Etho Roast" where He has to sit in and listen to 2 of his colleagues fawn over him on behalf of the fandom. If this feels harsh, I apologize. Maybe it is a compliment to the standard that you 2 have created with your exceptional podcasting already. (I do mean Exceptional. I put your Podcasting up with Alie Ward, Roman Mars, and Conan O'Brian. Serious!) I love it and try to catch the episode every week. I just wish there was more time of Etho talking in this episode. Thank you!
Something to keep in mind is the ethos pretty private and they may have promised him to keep it gamer and content creater related and not get personal.
Etho has so many childhood stories that he’s shared already. If you haven’t watched the secret streams, you’ll learn more in 15 minutes than in the 2h we didn’t learn anything new here with Impulse and Skizz. I wish they had gone to the Etho subreddit for question suggestions because this was incredibly basic of them. This podcast had so much potential and I am disappointed. Let me help you out with at least one of your questions. Etho never did any post-secondary education. He was a C student who graduated high school with half of his credits being work experience. There’s a very big reason why expecting Etho to talk about any of his siblings or the family business and that’s not just to protect his own privacy but the privacy of his family and location.
@@miniciominiciominicio thanks for this. I kinda figured there was an abundance of privacy concerns. But also, other guests have re-told some of their interesting stories before too. So there was already a precedent there. But Etho content is always appreciated. I just feel like this was an opportunity, ... not wasted,... but not fully taken advantage of, if you know what I mean?
@@Me3stR Nah, it was wasted. You can say it. Everyone is thinking it. Just some are holding back because we do like Imp and Skizz as people and want their podcast to succeed. They need constructive criticism to learn how to be better with heavily introverted guests (though several comments are being too harsh).
When it comes to Etho's mouse setup, I actually used to do the same thing when I animated, but I don’t habe a big enough desk now and I don’t have the room to do that, but I will always defend that it's much more comfortable if you're spending a LOT of time using your mouse
They didn't remove dislikes to spare your feelings. They removed dislikes to shill for Nintendo, Disney and other such corporations who had massive dislike ratios on their videos. And they still have because everyone sane installed an extension that shows the dislikes. It's still in the API, just not in the default interface.
Not to mention some governmental channel with massive disapproval rates. They're omitting the truth to manipulate people and remain in power doing their corrupt crap I downloaded the chrome extension that allows to see dislikes, it's great
I just started watching etho during 3rd life, so I've only watched s7 (I went back), the life series, s9, and s10 from him. I bet he gets more new viewers than he thinks
I feel like the regular Etho audience has an internal clock on when to expect a video at this point. It's maybe every couple weeks-ish? And if one comes early we're always pleasantly surprised! But also if one never came again we'd be ok and understand.
For me, the immersion-inspiration cycle as I like to call it, goes like this: See a person doing a thing MASTERFULLY. I think, I want to try and see if I can do that. I do that thing, I keep watching, I improve from watching others. Eventually, someone might pick up a trick or two from watching me. I try to value that just as much, if not more, than views. Sure I may be a smaller creator, but if even once I inspired someone who usually watches Etho, Scar, Bdubs, etc -- then my work lies among the greats, in that moment.
Absolute banger of an episode. I love the podcast, but it really is special when they have Hermit guests. Thank you, Impulse and Skizz, for all your amazing content across multiple channels, servers, and streams. You both bring us so much joy. ❤

Glad that we got a tablet to replace the 3rd hand ipad too. The cables are so brittle and not inter-changeable.

Gentlemen, Docm77 would love to be on the podcast. He just needs an invitation
Yes please
I just watched Doc's latest Hermitcraft video (episode 18) and at the end he says he got the invite! I'm exited.
I love that.
and then he comments on your comment, that would be great
55:40 There's something weirdly funny about imagining Mumbo Jumbo giving financial advice with his business man skin.
Even more interesting as he's the youngest hermit. He was like 17 when he joined.
@@ArtblockInsomniac I mean he's gotta be doing something right since he uploads every other video from a new country lol
Hermitcraft gave him a new wave of viewers but most of his viewers have been subscribed for close to a decade
I've only been watching HC for nearly 2 years, but love Etho so much I went back to his earlier stuff! He's too humble.
@@426shelby426 Well he has also been part of Hermitcraft for a decade almost, 2015 I think he joined. But I assume you mean when he returned from his break from Hermitcraft.

Also, 100% agree with you Skizz! Mario Kart is that game for me. I'll be 80 and still playing XDDD
Love these podcasts!
Same here!
Kakashi merch is Etho merch in disguise, lol
Me too
I bought two kakashis
One playmobil figure
And a funko pop
And for me it's Etho.
I expect more people know Etho's mincraft skin than know Kakashi.
Absolutely. Every time I see Kakashi merch I pick up one for me and one for my son-in-law, who was my gateway Ethogirl. Lol!
Etho and Cleo as Dad and Mom is literally my favorite thing in Minecraft UA-cam ever. The best lines, moments…. Sooo funny
Well said!
“I just wish you were better at this game” sums up Etho’s wonderful sense of humour, and why so many people love him. What a special interview this is.
Everyone else' answer: we're going to do a more relaxing season and hang out more :)
Etho's answer: we're old :D
LOL. 54:04
But for real, I love the vibes of season 10. It's chill and low pressure.

After listening to the audio on spotify, I think Imp and Skizz are great podcasters. they have great questions, great segues , if the guest is having trouble answering, they always jump in to help and follow up. That's skill.
---
Impulse talking about how a little mistake could lose viewership.. and i'm just remembering that one time a couple thousand people literally stayed and watched 54 minutes of Etho stuck in the decked out 2 pit.
---
Skizz is right, Etho and his situational one liners are just so good.
Ethos being stuck was the best part
I was there 🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️
I watched every second of him in the pit and I’d do it again!
Can i have the link please 🥺
Can i have the link where Etho's stuck pls haha
Etho is my favorite entertainment creator. Hands down I would rather watch Etho than a movie or tv show. Super cool to hear him speak candidly in this format. Thank you imp and skizz!
Wow an hour and a half - we are truly blessed to get this much Etho content!

An hour and a half but Etho only talks for a few minutes.
@@Griev2 Lol, might have to increase it if we want to hear him longer. XD
@@teentraveler1790We can if they only let him speak. They were just talking mostly about their experiences and making Etho listen.
Nah… they could have asked follow up questions instead of immediately talking about themselves almost every time Etho spoke
Their sheer excitement creates an amateur hosting stile unfortunately:/ I assume they are kinda caught up in chatting. Since its somewhat a casual thing for them actually. I dont knowww. But its poor, surely
There's so much more they could have let him talk about like, Team Canada, love of plants, favorite hc bases, pet peeves, any actual pets, funny hc stories, favorite music & weather & foods, and more.
pretty sure he briefed them about what he wanted to talk about. after all he’s a very private person
Doubt it. Etho doesn’t take initiative like that.
They could be on part 20 and still have things to talk about with Etho. It’d never end xD

I do agree, the podcast is hearing about etho and his stories and the other 2 go off on tangents and tell their own and take time away from him.
I do think that this episode was a bit less than the other when it comes to stories from their end.
My running theory is all Minecraft fans end up as Etho fans if they remain Minecraft fans long enough. Great interview!
And pretty sure dragons lair is the game skizz was talking about where there were the long cinematics
I stand by that Golden Axe is one of the best video games ever!
Etho playing hades would kind of go crazy though
Br0dy has some stuff on his own channel too
He is never going to show his perspective for mcc. That’s something he doesn’t feel comfortable with that.
I would love to see Etho, Gem, Impulse and Skizz play Phasmo. That would be hilarious.
You guys talking about ethos humor all I could think of is etho saying did that make you jump! Perfect amazing delivery
It still cracks me up when Impulse mimics that line since then.

I read this in skizzs voice
This episode specifically feels like nostalgia round table time - I’m now ready for the “whole Hermitcraft crew on the couch” episode
Chop, chop 🎉😋🫶🏼
We already had around half on the Hermits on a singular chair this season, so I'm sure they'll be able to find a way to all be on, in, or under the couch.
Let's get the whole "mindcrack turned hermits" crew on the pod!
good news 😁
The good thing about life series and this season in particular for Hermicraft, is that, learning more about each other is enabling all of you to learn "how" to get the most out of each other. For example, the task of getting a wither and a warden and make them fight... that kind of task was perfectly tailored to get the best out Etho, his learnt skills and the love of mischief that's shared with Grian.
Impulse and Skizz: "yeah we're really trying to enjoy each other's company this season"
Etho: "I think we're just getting old"
Seeking to slow down and enjoy ppls company is a trait of older ppl. Makes sense 😂
I love how much of Etho's quirks come from his "If it ain't broke don't fix it" attitude
While I don't play it as much as I used to, we'll all get together at my mum's place at Christmas and have a tournament, and now that they're in their 20's, they demolish me LoL
It serves as a reminder too ... We keep them on their toes when they're young, but they keep us on our toes as they get older.
Dear Parent,
You’re not a bad parent for letting her play Mario Kart. It is a game which is safe for children, so that checks out. Just make sure she has other hobbies and doesn’t get too obsessed.
Sincerely, a person who is still working on stopping his (probably unhealthy) video game obsession. (It’s less of an addiction and more of a lack of other hobbies.)
Longest week of my life waiting for this part 2 😂 I really love all of these interviews!
Oh dang. 90 more minutes of Etho! These guy were just havin' a good time hanging out I think lol
11:45 “It’s like a giant hug” The way I immediately got secret life flashbacks 😅
I forgot what season ConCorp was in, but I remember Cub working so hard to populate the campus with Villagers, learning the AI so he could work out daily pathing so it felt like the grounds were alive with people going to and from their jobs.
Would love to see Mojang make building something like that more feasible.
I’m pretty sure it was season 6
IIRC, some Mojang devs told them ConCorp inspired some of the villager changes for the Village & Pillage update.

If you watch Naruto you'll see Kakashi and Etho have similar personalities. It's a great coincidence
Etho, thanks for taking the time to let us learn more about you!
i hope etho knows that despite being aware of him for years [i've been watching hc since s6 so i saw him from other povs + it's hard to be a fan of minecraft in any capacity and not know who etho is] i'm a new fan. i only started watching him at the start of hc s10 and i've been going back to watch all his old content. they all hold up very well and his videos are entirely my style.

I will die on Etho's hill with how he has his mouse and keyboard set up. Asides from the tissue box I do the same exact thing lol
Etho never made any merch ever so we all just cope by getting kakashi merch lol

I know the humor but i have it even darker. Combined with adhd i was a menace on a bad day
Can we please get a drumming podcast? I'd love to see you guys jamming out and challenging each other and talking about your drumming.
They actually both went into programming! Etho just settled on UA-cam instead

I think it's really unfortunate, that Etho doesn't get too much time to talk in this episode. Most of the time it's impulse and skizz talking about their experiences, which I really like hearing normally. But when there's a guest, I would like to get to know more about the guest and let them talk.
I absolutly love the fact Skizz was like, "YOU DONT HAVE A CHOICE."

Love the Etho and the podcast, but... these two vids felt like Imp and Skizz did so much more talking and story telling than Etho
The fact that they’re both thinkers and quite objective (similar thought processes) makes it familiar too !! I love both Etho and Kakashi
What I would give for a viewer driven interview panel with Etho. So many questions relating to his history and tendencies keep popping up in my brain.
“Authentic Energy” this is why I watch Etho and no one else
My 8 yr old saw a Kakashi plush in Target and wanted the Etho doll so bad. Love the stuff guys, and so happy you were able to get Etho involved in the Podcast!
Happy to see Skizz somewhat accepted that everyone is an Etho fan girl.

I absolutely loved the extended time of you guys just chatting and reminiscing. I would pay for another 5 parts lol
48:36 That was in fact Gem, and yeah that is such a gem thing
They're omitting the truth to manipulate people and remain in power doing their corrupt crap
I downloaded the chrome extension that allows to see dislikes, it's great
Blaster Master reference! I'm not the only one who played that game!
There's three of us!
I just started watching etho during 3rd life, so I've only watched s7 (I went back), the life series, s9, and s10 from him. I bet he gets more new viewers than he thinks
I LOVE Skizz’s portal archery idea! That would be so cool to have the hermits do that! 33:25
I feel like the regular Etho audience has an internal clock on when to expect a video at this point. It's maybe every couple weeks-ish?
And if one comes early we're always pleasantly surprised! But also if one never came again we'd be ok and understand.
we're chill with any kind of schedule he wants at this point.
I could watch this trio talk with each other for DAYS.
this was the perfect thing to listen to while i curled my hair for a date ☺️☺️☺️ thank u imp and skizz podcast !!!!
An etho podcast is something that I never knew I needed so badly
For me, the immersion-inspiration cycle as I like to call it, goes like this:
See a person doing a thing MASTERFULLY.
