Everyone slept on the Canucks in the pre-season, calling them a slim chance wildcard at best. Then they had a very consistent overall season(One where they never lost more than 6 games total in a 20 game stretch...look it up) and have placed themselves into a division win. Their center core 4 is right there with anyone(Miller, Petey, Lindholm, Blueger our Suter.) Quinn Hughes is doing things nobody has ever seen, and they have a talented top 6 forward core with some elite talent and speed with some skilled grit mixed in there and and a few 20 goal scorers in their BOTTOM 6(a rotation of Hoglander, Joshua, and Garland have been mostly bottom 6 regulars with some top 6 shifts). The D core has been very consistent all year long and they can put out on pair of Dmen in the rough and rugged playoffs that are over 13 feet tall combined(without skates...and one is particularily mean) On top of that you have a clear top 5, arguably top 3 goalie in the league with Demko("Bubble Demko" anyone?) and all of this is lead by an ENTIRE coaching staff of accomplished former NHL allstars and Hall of famers. Whether they win it all, or whether they have a first round exit, whoever the Canucks play this postseason will be pushed to their limits and y'all will start putting some respect on their name.
Saying the leafs should feel better because they've gotten regular season swept by boston is WILD. Playing a team a bunch of times and losing all of them means you'll probably win one at some point but a playoff series isn't one game
As a Canucks fan, agree with the argument from Luca that of the division champs the Canucks are the team to play but who WANTS to play a division champ?
As a stars fan, I hate to admit it but the way corwin spoke about oettinger at the beginning of the year was correct. I love otter but he seems to be off this year. To be fair to him his defense has let him down in some games but he has not looked great all year. Thankfully we got tanev and in these last couple of games otter has looked much better. However I think that will be the stars downfall is the goaltending.
@@ridebmx24seven yeah, he looked great last night against the Canucks. Hopefully he turns on the same kind of beats mode he did two years ago against Calgary.
I think the bolts are MASSIVELY slept on this year. They have had an up and down season and spent most of it in a wild card spot so fair enough but people are so quick to forget the absolute beast this team was for 3 years in a row. They are built for the playoffs and have the same core as the cup winning teams. One first round exit (a series which they outplayed the leafs 5/6 games) and they've seemingly disappeared from the contenders conversation. This is a scary team and I would not be surprised to see them come out of the east this year.
Its crazy that these guys don’t really factor in the Canucks that will likely finish #1 or #2 over all in the west. Demko will be back and most likely stand on his head for the Canucks 😊
Canucks fans stoked to serve Luca and Jesse a big plate of shit sandwiches come playoff time. Appreciate Corwin for sticking up for the Canucks a little, as it's clear he's the only one watching the games, still. Canada goes past Alberta, guys.
As a flyers fan, I get the reasons why you'd brush aside philly, but they dominated the Stars, beat the canucks twice, beat Florida, Carolina, Colorado and Boston. They play up to their opponents and on their day can beat any good team
Bruins fan here, philly looks good most of the time, but they just do not have that game changer or playoff built team/experience. Goaltending could hurt, and you have to beat a team 4 times. Not saying they can’t but it’s much harder than beating a bunch of good teams one time.
16. Detroit/Washington 15. Philadelphia 14. Los Angeles 13. Nashville 12. Vancouver 11. Toronto 10. Winnipeg 9. Boston 8. Tampa Bay 7. Dallas 6. Edmonton 5. Vegas 4. NY Rangers 3. Carolina 2. Colorado 1. Florida
Watching this after the tier list they made is funny Imagine not anyone of them having islanders in there they didn’t believe they would make it over capitals but top 4 from a Swedish guy 1 Caps 2 Islanders 3 LA 4 Nashville
Rags have been above the Carolina Hurricanes this entire season. Yes it’d be a tough series. But nobody has the number 1 team in the league. And consistent top of the metro the whole season in top 4? I know there’s a lot of great teams and I’m for sure just a salty fan but Vancouver and the Rags need more love in this.
@@bsfm6990 I get that they have flaws. Inconsistent defense and 5v5 issues but their goaltending and special teams are beyond elite and depth scoring is underrated as hell. Penalty kill and goal tending as well as a solid two way game from your forwards is what’ll get you a cup. The one thing they have from to bottom is defensively smart centers. To not have them even mentioned is crazy.
@@johnhendrickson1806I get that and also think they have some bias I also think you need Mika to produce on 5v5 and if you lock panarin which is not easy but if you do who produces on 5v5 cause if he is locked so is laf and Mika’s line has not look good on 5v5 also it’s the memories of last years first round that has me doubting but still has them as a contender
The one thing with Boston is they feed off of all the negativity and some how always makes them better when everyone counts them out which is part of the reason i think they blew it last year. They were on top and just took it for granted. Getting ready for a slow rebuild this is really the year to do something and prove everyone wrong. Truly their last real chance at something
You sure you’re not talking about Florida here? No one counted the Bruins out last season, except for the fact they won the presidents trophy. Lots of people said they will beat Florida and some even said sweep them. Seems like they will play Tampa, and I’m taking Tampa for that series. Definitely not a Bruins fan but you never want to count them out
@FLGirly no I'm not saying people were counting them out last year I'm saying they were expected to win and that's why they didn't. Florida on the other hand everyone counted out last year and that's the same reason I think the Bs could go far this year
Hot take maybe but this playoffs doesn’t really have an “easy option” at least in the west. Every team in it rn has either been consistent all year or is getting hot right at the time it matters most. As well every single team has been doubted throughout the entire year for different reasons and have a chip on their shoulder because of it. There is no “weak team” there is just the team you play against. I could see litterally every series possible going to 7 games. Its gonna be a bloodbath
Canucks will beat Nashville if they match up in Rd. 1. Canucks have dominated Nashville this year. You can say it's before they got hot but last year, every single first round match up was won by the team that won the season series (or tied it, but no losses). Team match ups are important and I think the Canucks style and system just matches well against Nashville's.
Don't even know how the Rangers aren't in the top 4 for anyone's list. I don't see how the Canes would be scarier, the Rangers are much better 5v5 and are 21-5-1 since the all star break. Most wins out of every team, there is just no reason why anyone wouldn't be scared of them unless they just care too much about the past. Rangers made the ECF a couple years ago without Panarin having as good of a year as he is now, just saying.
Corwin wanting the Bruins to play the leafs just made me laugh. It’s not like the Bruins have won every single regular season game this year against the leafs.
Pock needs to bring back the jesse counters. taking shirts off, we'll discuss, random jets mentions, derailing the conversation to talk about food etc.
There's no point in having both the Art Ross trophy and the Hart trophy if whoever wins the Art Ross automatically wins the Hart. It's gotta be MacKinnon or Kucherov for the Hart regardless of the Art Ross and I'm hoping MacK gets it since all the other guys have already got one.
I feel like giving it him for that reason diminishes the value of the Hart. It is a tight race but I think MacKinnon either needs to pop off more than Kucherov.. or the Avs need to win their division.
49:54 Yeah let’s not give the hart trophy to a guy that is going to be the 4th player in NHL history to have 100 assists and got Zach Hyman 52 goals so far.
Not mention the Bs is fair they have been like oddly inconsistent and the east is so tight but like it wouldn’t surprise anyone if they went on a run if we are real
As a jets fan bring it on. I’d love to see that matchup. Not cause the Canucks are bad, just from an entertainment standpoint. (Although the Canucks seem the least scary of our possible matchups lol)
Wouldn’t wanna play 1. New York rangers 2. Colorado Avalanche 3. Carolina Hurricanes 4. Edmonton oilers Would play 1. Vancouver Canucks 2. Vegas golden knights 3. Florida panthers 4. Toronto maple leafs
Some thoughts from a Bruins fan. I have very little faith in this team. Unfortunately the team just doesnt have the depth scoring to compete with others. The team relies so heavily on Marchand and Pastrnak for like 80% of their offense. Ullmark has been mediocre at best in the playoffs so far. Swaymans numbers are slightly better but small sample size. I have no clue if they are going to rotate their goalies come playoff time or what. If the Bruins get the goaltending though in that round 1 they will be very very intimidating to play. They seem like a team that as the rounds go on theyd only get better and better.
Vancouver would easily be more difficult opponent than Nashville. Better goaltending, Nashville got Josi but Vancouver got better player with Hughes. None of Nashville forwards are nowhere near Elias Pettersson or JT Miller. Vancouver also got Hronek, Boeser etc. Way better team.
Lol i love it. Everyone has been sleeping on the Canucks all year . Even when they were in first place for a long stretch of the season. And still sleeping on them now. That's ok . Just don't be shocked when they make a deep run.
the only privilege that matters for Zach Hyman is the privilege to play with McDavid, and any player that could, would jump at that opportunity too, also its tough hearing corwins bruins take seeing how the leafs also ran into those panthers in the second round and they could only take 1 game against them
Alright I found the Ashl team for the bardown boys and just gotta say under the career stats list for the team Jesse had played 47 less games and is only 1 point back of corwin come on Mccallum get your head outta your ass

Whether they win it all, or whether they have a first round exit, whoever the Canucks play this postseason will be pushed to their limits and y'all will start putting some respect on their name.
hey nice pod as always!
would love if you upload the deadline day stream to rewatch❤
Saying the leafs should feel better because they've gotten regular season swept by boston is WILD. Playing a team a bunch of times and losing all of them means you'll probably win one at some point but a playoff series isn't one game
Luca giving the canes some love is very unexpected
Dallas couldn’t beat Vegas during the regular season when Vegas was missing a bunch of key players.
Two weeks later you will never guess who's spleen is feeling juuust fine in time for playoffs.
Turn yourself in knots and convince yourself the champs aren’t a team to worry about in the playoffs. Just wait till they run it back
As a Canucks fan, agree with the argument from Luca that of the division champs the Canucks are the team to play but who WANTS to play a division champ?
As a stars fan, I hate to admit it but the way corwin spoke about oettinger at the beginning of the year was correct. I love otter but he seems to be off this year. To be fair to him his defense has let him down in some games but he has not looked great all year. Thankfully we got tanev and in these last couple of games otter has looked much better. However I think that will be the stars downfall is the goaltending.
Spot on... Except, who knows, maybe Otter does raise to the occasion..
@@ridebmx24seven yeah, he looked great last night against the Canucks. Hopefully he turns on the same kind of beats mode he did two years ago against Calgary.
Golden Knights Back 2 Back Champs ⚔️🏆🏆
I think the bolts are MASSIVELY slept on this year. They have had an up and down season and spent most of it in a wild card spot so fair enough but people are so quick to forget the absolute beast this team was for 3 years in a row. They are built for the playoffs and have the same core as the cup winning teams. One first round exit (a series which they outplayed the leafs 5/6 games) and they've seemingly disappeared from the contenders conversation. This is a scary team and I would not be surprised to see them come out of the east this year.
If they outplayed the Leafs 5/6 games how did they get a first round exit?
Its crazy that these guys don’t really factor in the Canucks that will likely finish #1 or #2 over all in the west. Demko will be back and most likely stand on his head for the Canucks 😊
I would love to see Avs vs Jets first round because I want to see Luca and Jesse go head to head like they use to
Why does the bardown team hate the caps so much sheesh 😂
If you aren’t the leafs, the avs, or the jets, they don’t give a fuck 😂.
Canucks fans stoked to serve Luca and Jesse a big plate of shit sandwiches come playoff time. Appreciate Corwin for sticking up for the Canucks a little, as it's clear he's the only one watching the games, still.
Canada goes past Alberta, guys.
LMAO
Leafs built for playoffs. Goaltending is the question mark.
16. Detroit/Washington
15. Philadelphia
14. Los Angeles
13. Nashville
12. Vancouver
11. Toronto
10. Winnipeg
9. Boston
8. Tampa Bay
7. Dallas
6. Edmonton
5. Vegas
4. NY Rangers
3. Carolina
2. Colorado
1. Florida
Vancouver disrespect from east media is insane.
Plot twist: Jets finish within 4 points of first place but as a wildcard team
Love your podcasts and quizzes and vlogs next quiz should be a nhl playoffs
here's why washington has a better shot to make it to game 5 over detroit: lindgren. lyon and reimer haven't made a save all szn.
lyon has had some cold stretches, but he’s been the reason we even are in this position. reimer can also steal some games
Corwins lettuce is coming in nice
Watching this after the tier list they made is funny Imagine not anyone of them having islanders in there they didn’t believe they would make it over capitals but top 4 from a Swedish guy
1 Caps
2 Islanders
3 LA
4 Nashville
I hope Dallas make those black and green jersey their home jerseys those look awesome
Boston is one center injury away from being swept. Not having center depth is scetchy
I think is the type of playing style they play which is rush and that lowers in the playoffs but they should be respected more.
I couldn’t agree more, no mention to the rangers is crazy
"Regular season doesnt matter" then why isn't tampa up there.
They can score and they have tons of playoff experience which might be enough to win a round... but that defense is just not good enough.
Florida on the other hand everyone counted out last year and that's the same reason I think the Bs could go far this year
wouldn't want - Boston, nyr, Colorado, Florida. would want - wings/caps, leafs, Edmonton, LA
The Vancouver disrespect is diabolical
What a difference 6 days make
Hot take maybe but this playoffs doesn’t really have an “easy option” at least in the west.
Please use chapters on your videos
Everyone wants to play Van in rd 1...lol
Canucks will beat Nashville if they match up in Rd. 1. Canucks have dominated Nashville this year. You can say it's before they got hot but last year, every single first round match up was won by the team that won the season series (or tied it, but no losses). Team match ups are important and I think the Canucks style and system just matches well against Nashville's.
28:17 jump scare warning
God bless you Corwin
Don't even know how the Rangers aren't in the top 4 for anyone's list. I don't see how the Canes would be scarier, the Rangers are much better 5v5 and are 21-5-1 since the all star break. Most wins out of every team, there is just no reason why anyone wouldn't be scared of them unless they just care too much about the past. Rangers made the ECF a couple years ago without Panarin having as good of a year as he is now, just saying.
Didnt talk about Hyman that kinda is a bummer.
3:30 ...
@@jakobfinney they mentioned him, didn't talk about him. 2 different things.
@JACKAL747 everyone is talking about him, get over it not being in every single show
hymans gonna get broke in the playoffs. watch😉
Or just remove Jesse from the show already
So funny only mentioned the 2 busts in the east (hurricanes and panthers) both first round exits u heard it here first
They were both conference finalists last year. I’m guessing you’re a leafs fan?
At this current rate, the panthers will be lol. They have to figure it out. They are like 3-7 in there last 10
lol how so
As a oilers fan I’m scared of Vegas 😂
Luca has always hated the Canucks hopefully we pound the avalanche 4-0 in the conference finals
Not mention the Bs is fair they have been like oddly inconsistent and the east is so tight but like it wouldn’t surprise anyone if they went on a run if we are real
Las Vegas Injure Reverse
Would not want to face NSH because of Ryan McDonagh and would not want to face NYR because of Igor.
"We want Florida"
Right lmao. Leafs fans are delusional. Keep chanting for us. I can’t WAIT.
Can’t wait for Jets to fall into the wild card and get smashed by the Canucks. Bring it on Jesse💪🏼
As a jets fan bring it on. I’d love to see that matchup. Not cause the Canucks are bad, just from an entertainment standpoint. (Although the Canucks seem the least scary of our possible matchups lol)
man keep disregarding the flyers, it’s been all season long
I’m just starting to watch this video, but before it even starts, IF THEY DONT SAY TAMPA IM GOING TO BE SO MAD
Did you guys stop putting your podcasts on Apple Podcasts?
Wouldn’t wanna play
1. New York rangers
2. Colorado Avalanche
3. Carolina Hurricanes
4. Edmonton oilers
Would play
1. Vancouver Canucks
2. Vegas golden knights
3. Florida panthers
4. Toronto maple leafs
Florida is definitely a hot take there.
Wouldn’t mind my team throwing a game 7 if it meant I didn’t have to watch them play the panthers💀
Crazy
Why would u want to play Florida
This "Sleeper" Nashville team got clapped 8-4 by the poverty yotes. They're in the wild card spot for a reason...
For the first time in 19 games, even the top teams have bad games here and there
Some thoughts from a Bruins fan.
Not to be negative but these are a much easier listen without DZ, also corwins been working out
Vancouver would easily be more difficult opponent than Nashville. Better goaltending, Nashville got Josi but Vancouver got better player with Hughes. None of Nashville forwards are nowhere near Elias Pettersson or JT Miller. Vancouver also got Hronek, Boeser etc. Way better team.
Also for the caps it depends on what team shows up
I don't remember that st Louis team being that good
Lol i love it. Everyone has been sleeping on the Canucks all year . Even when they were in first place for a long stretch of the season. And still sleeping on them now. That's ok . Just don't be shocked when they make a deep run.
Theres just so many great teams right now. Rangers are 5th most scary team lol
PG Cougars are gonna win the memorial cup.!
the only privilege that matters for Zach Hyman is the privilege to play with McDavid, and any player that could, would jump at that opportunity too,
also its tough hearing corwins bruins take seeing how the leafs also ran into those panthers in the second round and they could only take 1 game against them
Crazy that Hyman’s dad bought the oilers the 1st overall pick in 2015 so that Hyman could play with mcdavid.
right like its such a wild take i dont know how berkshire came to his thought process@@mcj44
Alright I found the Ashl team for the bardown boys and just gotta say under the career stats list for the team Jesse had played 47 less games and is only 1 point back of corwin come on Mccallum get your head outta your ass
On another note pignataro quit being a goddamn goon and clean it up ya had 26 pims last season in 14 games
