I've had the pleasure to watch this performance in person. I literally called in sick to be there! I always try to catch Lara's performances whenever she is here in NYC.

@@LaraFabianMultimedia The Today Show always brings lots of spectators and tourists who'll show up just to be on camera so it was noisy. People were waving signs and yelling to have a chance for a 5 seconds long TV time. Only a small part of the crowd knew who Lara Fabian was and those people were carrying signs for her or had her picture or her new album in their hands. The interesting part was that 'Adagio' made the crowd settle down noticeably and as the song progressed you could see some astonished looks from those who never heard of Lara before. They looked flabbergasted. I was in the middle of the pack and I could hear people all around me asking about her from people near them and when someone turned to me I was happy to tell them about my idol. Lara truly made brand new fans right there and then.

Nowadays we all get our news and interesting facts on a go via cell phone. Times have changed dramatically in the last 20 years. It's a fast paced, fast life if you live in a metropolis.

Those looks directly into the camera kill me 😍 Had I just been home that morning, it could have all been different. Sometimes it just makes me so mad that Sony robbed her of her chance, and if we didn't catch one of her few appearances that was it.
I spoke w her tour manager at a show in Chicago in 2018. Unsolicited, he told that Celine Dion's people forced Sony to get rid of her. It's obvious why. Too good, too good-looking and wrote her own songs. Lara, please come back to the States one more time. I know Cbicsgo is a Longshot, though. One in a billion chance she reads this, hahaha
