After months of grueling training and strategizing, the Goombas take their positions for a deadly ambush, fully confident that they finally have Mario's number at last when suddenly a sewer scented red breeze rushes past them making them tumble over as they helplessly waddle around on their backs trying to get up. Ignoring both the Goombas and numerous head traumas from bashing his skull against the steel pipes and *very* solid bricks, Mario blasts past the sign post in front the castle feeling somewhat insulted from the lack of fireworks while in the distance a furious Bowser punts yet another Koopa shell through a wall demanding to know who keeps leaving power ups in reachable blocks.
Ok, this was the coolest thing I've seen in awhile. Not only is this TAS sick, but you're telling me that this is a Mario themed level, in a Sonic game, which is actually a mod of Doom?!? This is amazing!
@@SupMario6809 I never said it’s a somari game. I was also just joking about Mario in a sonic game being somari. I’m sorry i didn’t say that in advance
I can't describe the feeling this gives me but i have a weird deep excitement for this mod and the gameplay you presented like jesus i still have 2 hours of work to go
soon enough I will be able to TAS.... I just... need to figure out how to make the game recognize my inputs when being open and how to make SRB2 work overall in Linux...
@@grindersky while on the ground and moving, hold the crouch button and press jump to perform the long jump seen in most 3d Mario games (sm64, Odyssey, galaxy, etc...) You can even perform it out of a roll! Just press crouch mid air to ground pound, then press and hold crouch again when you land, and press jump.
oh wow you're right, I did not use it. I didn't know he has that actually, when I was playing him casually and testing him out, but I tested the speeds and perfectly timed dives will give you the same speed as long jumps, so I don't think it would matter than much in this run, but I will be sure to utilize it and I will have to test it further and see which one is faster, thank you for telling me that!
@@grindersky no prob. This is just me guessing, but maybe using it on downward slopes can generate extra horizontal speed? Haven't played him in a while.
no idea, also keep in mind I wasn't using just normal dives, when I had to I used the different dive that gives you max speed right away and cuts your vertical movement, these are good to use when you don't have max speed or at the start.

surprised there was no utilization of the long jump what so ever.
Not even out of a stomp roll.
Is diving really that much faster?
long jump you mean clicking Roll twice?
I'm not sure what you exactly mean.
