I took Mason out to North Carolina Motorsports Park (NCMP) this weekend for his first time to ride his mini quad! We took his 2020 Yamaha Raptor 90 (Yamaha YFM90r) ATV and my 2019 Yamaha TT-R 110. He had a great time and there was a lot of people that turned out for the weekend of family fun, camping and dirt bike and atv riding. Hoping to get down to Scrub N Dirt soon to meet up with Loverboy dirt bike riders and crew. Motocross is family friendly for kids and adults of all ages!!

Hey Ed, I have 3 and 4 1/2 yr old boys so your videos have been great!!! I got my 4 yr old that raptor. Did you do anything to the brakes to make them easier for Mason to use. Mine seem a little stiff and lever out a little far for my boy to use easily.. thanks again Partner!!

We personally never really had that issue, but I feel like I saw a thread online similar to this where a guy added a footbrake to the Raptor in addition to the handbrake similar to how big quads do. I would assume that would take some fabrication though where if you just wait a few months he may be able to reach it better . Maybe a bad thought, but just a thought nonetheless. Lol
how did you guys get it going? ours will turn on but it has no shift so we can’t figure out how to get it out of neutral.
Raptor 90 is for kids through what age?
Depends who you ask lol. Yamaha and dealership say 10+, and if you say you’re buying for someone under 10 the dealer likely won’t sell it to you. That said my son was 4 and shredding it.

@@realmmfc reason I asked is because I have a 7 yr old and a 13 yr old boy without experience. So I’m debating which is a good first quad that won’t be outgrown quickly.
