    Great video very informative. Tomorrow is my son’s 10th birthday and we are going to pick one of these up for him. I bought him a cheap Chinese quad yesterday as a goof just to see if he would like the idea and he’s running it all over the place. So tomorrow we’re actually taking him on his birthday to show him that we are picking him up the new raptor 90. And then I’ll sell off the Chinese quad.

    Hey bro love the videos, just thought I’d point out that the kick start goes in the left hand side of engine not near the gear lever. I purchased a yfm 90 for my 2 daughters age 10 & 14 couple of weeks ago here in the uk after watching your videos. I’m so glad I did they love it. I’m hoping pro circuit or fmf soon design a pipe for it otherwise I think I’m gonna leave theirs stock until one of them designs a pipe. Thanks for your videos helping us with our quad & keep them coming! Best wishes from us here in the uk, leon.

    I was looking for a good review for my son who’s name is also Mason. Great review. I also have another son who will turn 4 in a month. I was thinking the 50 for him. He’s a smaller kid than mason who will get the 90. Plus I have a third son who just turned 2 lol I think a 50 will be a good one for the younger kids. But glad to hear the 90 will work out great for my 5 year old! Great review.

    The plug that you say to remove to install the kick starter is actually the oil fill plug for the transmission.
    The plug that needs to be removed is the one on the CVT cover and then the kick start lever is installed in that location.

    Lucky kid. When I was a kid, I dreamed of getting an atv for years. Finally convinced my dad to get me one. What I ended up with was a "Yamoto" 150.... So awful. Was too embarrassed to even tell any friends that I finally got a quad. It was brand new but I would have so much rather had a used name brand atv. I settled though... I honestly hated that thing. I still think about it a lot & would love to one day buy myself a nice used ATV as an adult.

      Sorry for late response. He got the raptor 90 at 4. We face the same challenge you are having. Get a 50 and outgrow quickly or get the 90 and keep for 90. Glad we made the decision to go larger. The 90 also has the “limp” mode feature that makes it great for new or inexperienced riders until the get their feet wet. Great machine honestly!

    • @realmmfc
      @realmmfc  3 роки тому +2

      No it hasn’t been bad at all! Mason can go back and forth between them easily. Yamaha “requires” Raptor 90 being made for kids 10 and older, but even with Mase only being 4, reaching brake has never been an issue!

    • @realmmfc
      @realmmfc  3 роки тому +1

      Chris Webber absolutely man. Yeah mason is about that same size. It’s still “technically” too big for him, but he has adapted very well to the control of it. One of the greatest features of the Raptor is its configurable for nearly any skill level. I would go sit him on one and make sure he can at least hit tip toe on each footboard just to ensure he can maintain some level of control, and if so do it. Even if he has to grow into it a little and you have to ride with him some, you’ll be much happier you went bigger rather than smaller.

    Considering getting 2021 grizzly 90 for my boy, figured they used the same engine. What is the top speed of this one? The reason I ask is we just sold his Suzuki 50cc and with some upgrades I had it running 30 mph on the road, So he’s used to the speed. If the grizzly is slower I may consider this new raptor.

      About 36-38 is is what you can expect from both the grizzly and Raptor. The big advantage to the grizzly is the increase frame size. It actually feels like a decent size utility atv. I like them both, but since we spend more time at the track, the Raptor just made more sense for us. Grizz is a bad little machine too though!
