- I was invited to attend a Q&A by Netflix with the creators of From Scratch (the original Amy and Zora) last month. Attica and Tembi Locke have such a unique story, and there are so many layers to how this limited series came to be.

Based on the Book by Tembi Locke, From Scratch tells the story of Amahle "Amy" Wheeler, an American student studying in Italy, who meets and falls in love a Sicilian chef. When Lino, her new love, faces health issues and the couple's future is threatened, the two families come together.
From Scratch, now streaming on Netflix, is based on a true story.

Interesting fact about the actor who plays Leno. His name is Eugenio Mastrandrea. He is 28 and he was only 1 year old when Tembi and her husband married in 1995. Talk about fate. I find that fascinating.
I wanted to hear more about him and it was sad to see he wasn’t interviewed but once you can see on UA-cam. Other interview with rolling stone is in Italian :( I’ve been translating paragraphs lol

I LOVED it; all of it - all 8 episodes! Magical-electrifying LOVE! Amy and Lino 😍! I fell in love with Lino too! Best LOVE story I have ever seen, it illuminated man/woman, husband,/wife, parent/child, in-laws, sibling, friendship, family..... LOVE! Thank you for sharing yours and Saro's LOVE. ❤

This is a beautiful interview by Ariana Romero with the Locke sisters. It was fabulous to see the sisters Tembi and Attica Locke supporting each other - it is evident that they have a loving and trusting relationship.
Couldn't watch more, I wish there were more episodes and seens of amy and lino 😭 i love the couple so much
