  • It's a stunning morning at Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre in Vancouver BC, Canada. This exciting video is a collection of 7 different seaplanes taking off and landing. We will witness a Cessna Caravan, 2 De Havilland Twin Otters, 3 De Havilland Otters and a De Havilland Beaver. It's an impressive seaplane spectacle.
    Welcome to the lounge at Vancouver Harbour in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Before we embark on this thrilling adventure, it's important to acknowledge that I filmed this aerial spectacle within the shared, unceded ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We express our heartfelt gratitude to these Indigenous communities for their enduring stewardship of the land.
    My channel is dedicated to bringing you new flight adventures every weekend, allowing you to explore the world of planes, trains, automobiles, food reviews, and tourist attractions in the vibrant capital city of Victoria, Vancouver, British Columbia and across this vast country of Canada. As my horizons expand, so do the journeys across the vast and beautiful landscapes of Canada. New flights are added to the Planes Playlist at 4:00 am Pacific time every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There are almost 200 seaplane videos in the Planes playlist. Thanks for taking your front row seat with a first class ticket in the lounge.

    I am surprised there isn't someone who patrols the harbour for FOD. That one log bit floating when the Cessna landed could do a lot of damage to both aircraft and boats/ships!!😮

      @islandnightowl, I'm surprised too, about the harbour patrols and debris in the water. I see harbour patrol in Victoria, but not Vancouver...hmmm. Makes me wonder. Thanks for your always kind words, engagement and support, I am truly grateful. I was in Comox for the airshow, got some amazing footage to share over time, as I get it edited together. That landing of the first Cessna 208 Caravan, C-GMOW, certainly came in hot and had quite the rough landing. Probably a little bit of a misjudging of the waves.

      @Astromechy, I've seen some pretty bumpy landings, especially in Victoria. Like you said, probably misjudged the waves. I appreciate you always kind words, engagement and support. Best....Corrie

    Also, Corrie, how do the air traffic control coordinate with the ship harbour master about traffic movements? Ie, how do they not crash into each other? There are a wide variety and sizes/speed of traffic sharing that zone!

    • @leftcoastcorrie
      @leftcoastcorrie  4 місяці тому

      @islandnightowl, you pose an interesting question. I honestly don't know how airplanes landing and taking off, manage to avoid ships in the harbour and random debris floating around. I'd love to chat with an Air traffic controller and get the right answer. I wonder if there is a "landing space" that other traffic is to avoid? Thanks for your always kind words, interesting engagement and support, it means the world to me. Best...Corrie

      @mothmagic1 @islandnightowl, you two keep me on my toes! I'm not sure how to find out how about this interesting conundrum. It is most definitely an important component in the safety of all on the harbour. I've sent a request for information to the Port of Vancouver. Hopefully we get a reasonable answer and I'm not sure how long it will take them to get back to me. Thanks for being amazing passengers in the lounge, I am sincerely grateful for your kind engagement and support. Best....Corrie
