@@livinginventuracounty1071 I used to go up all the time when my parents lived in SB. I actually passed through La Conchita right before the huge landslide in '04. If I make my way back up you'll be the first to know.
We didn't know about that structure. Do they use it the same way as the one at Rincon? We love learning about other spots and La Jolla is amazing. We really enjoyed visiting there and seeing baby dolphins and Kayaking with the sea lions.

Upon further consideration....you may have a point...I was just caught up in the moment of the beauty and magic around me. The view of the coastline with the mountains as well as the islands is outrageously beautiful ...I am going to take a stand and say that it is a beautiful beach with one of top 100 destinations spots to surf.
@@livinginventuracounty1071 Hey, I didn't mean to be snarky. I have very fond memories of Rincon, surfing there in the 1990s... it's a great spot and was always my dream home location. I'm just saying that I have been fortunate enough to see so many wonderful surf spots (and beautiful beaches) that I have re-calibrated my scale.... and I am sure there are even better locations than my favourite reef in Chile, that point break in Costa Rica or the wrapping lines bending to the reef in the Maldives... it's all relative and Rincon is spectacular... what I would've given to be born in 1951 and to have been one of the surfers in the 1960s who surfed it with a few friends.... or even the 1970s - to be one who surfed it at night via the headlights of the cars lined up at the point, one car left off to jump the line when the batteries drained out.
I'd say Noosa ranks higher than Rincon simply for the fact that there the water is warm (and very clear usually), there are 5 "Rincons" there and there's no freeway out front (just a national park)
Those all sound like amazing spots. I remember when I was in College one of my friends was from Belize. He showed me the most beautiful beaches and clean sparking blue water that I have ever seen. It is still on my bucket list to go there. Now I have more places to go with Bart to explore. Thank you:).
