Find any video about grip?
How're you doing with the drums right now?
ah man, that is so nice, i can hear you playing all day. if you don't get tired :D awesome lessons.
Great lesson Jared, The "too many ghost notes" example sounded pretty good.
Thank you sincerely, your technique has enhanced my interest and makes me believe that I will be able to learn drumming from your method of training,
Thank you for these tips! I’ve heard about all of these techniques but I’ve never fully understood them. Now I can practice them
You are a great teacher! You make it so easy to learn.
dude ur videos are great 👍🏾 super informative short sweet to the point just got my first 🥁 set and i’m making progress every day! thanks 🙏
I did the rimshot thing a couple of times by mistake and never really thought I could use it for anything. Good thing I watched this video.
My Brother, that is awesome.....👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I will have my very first set within a week and I will teach myself with ease......
I am very glad to find your channel.
Thank you.
Although I am a intermediate drummer right now but this brought me wayy back when I started to learn. Especially Exercise number 4 ( Hi hat openings on 2 and 4) and the rimshots were hard for me to master
Great work bro keep it up
Will share your videos to my friends
Btw nice and a learning video

Book ordered Jared, thanks from the UK mate ...
Another excellent video Jared. Thanks for your expertise and and teaching style.
hey jared,
firstly i want to say thank you !! im apart of an emailing listing that you kindly offered. ive been tuned in since then to drumeo youtube. almost going on a couple of weeks. loved the Steven Taylor drumeo sesh
ive played for a few years. everything i have has been due to playing by ear. can play to alot of music i listen to, rock mainly. not to the song exactly. (simplifying) but can identify most fills, cant pull all of them off. and can identify and play most the basic beats minus Carey's work. would just like to know please, what area/training/exercises i need to immediately to work towards in order to became a better/complete drummer. goal is to became gig level.
thanks for your time man, cheers Jared
I'm just about to learn for the 1st time.
I love the drums hope i can get it done
Ordered the book yesterday. Look forward putting it to use!
wjb111 Since so many people here are commenting on his socks, I read this as you ordered the SOCKS sorry! AND it made me laugh for a sec. Lol. & soon realised the book. If it is a real good book & easy for non drummer people to understand & useful for non drummers...please post it here later ! I might consider buying it , TOO ....thank you!

Where’s the part where I become Roger Taylor
Ella Locke Why is everyone talking about roger taylor. Bonzo should be the one you want to be.
@@dude6966 because Roger is frickin amazing and iconic and the best
There's plenty drummers as good as Roger Taylor, but people tend to prefer him because he's good looking, especially girls
woah ppl stop the hate roger is AMAZING. also i love queen so slightly biased opinion lol
Kate Mcgarva Lmao nobody's hating
Thank you so much from Minnesota up north 🥁❤️
The editing for your drumeo videos are improving! makes it more entertaining for newer viewers, keep it up !
Same Jared I thought a cross stick was called a rim shot, I know you said that over ghost noting is bad but that groove you played sounded pretty good😂
Yeh I also play in my church but I didn't learned by anyone I started see our videos recently someone suggested me and I love it
beautiful techniques!
Excellent instructor. Ty!
A hat version of the gear looking Drumeo shirts embroidered would be amazing. I want one for my performance hat!
I love your lessons thankyou
Are there videos anywhere (by anyone) discussing exercises on how to get more closely locked into a click track for studio recording? Incl. more precise subdivisions, identifying and shaving off some of the milliseconds of drift (rushing, dragging, or other unwanted inconsistencies); and how to practice for more precision nailing the hits? I notice a lot of good drummers demonstrating with a metronome but, respectfully, they almost always drift a little more than you can/should for a studio recording.
The book is all sold out in Amazon. Great video. The socks really grabbed my eye .
It's available now: www.amazon.com/dp/B07G8N348K
Nice socks Jared ;)

Great stuff on the lessons so far. I'm 63 and havn't played steady on a kit for 45 years! It's coming back to me. Tried ordering the $19.95 beginner book and it's costing me $38.99? Am I missing something other than the book? JH
All beginners should refer to these types of videos I watched these types of videos back in the late 80s
Actually didn't know about flipping the stick around for cross sticking
awesome
I need one of this books
I have bin playing drums for 2 years already am so good
Awesome new appearance. You look great man
Thanks very much
I hope you explain more about the opening hi hat. l didn't get it well.
W😁😁😁😁😁hen Jared started playing the cross stick groove... I started singing "I keep forgetting we're not in love anymore" by Michael McDonald...lol!!!!
Wow learned a lot
Jared is a great teacher
hey Jared, I tried to buy your book online, but shipping to Australia cost me USD$40!!
i really need this lesson, but i must have a kit first haha
best thing about drums is you don't need the kit to practice though just slap your legs and call it a practice session
awesome dude
Great video!! What about the technique of hitting the bass drum? If I hit without lifting my leg, it's better for me and my back doesn't hurt.
I hear you, My lower right back and hip kills me when I lift my leg , Ichanged to the heel on the floor technique, works good for me no more pain.. 60 yr old guy here ..
@@sparks3423 thank you!!
Ok, i know all this tips i'm now officially a intermediate drummer 😂
Knowing and doing are different.
Thank you, Jared! It's a cool lesson.
Great videos. I've always wanted to learn to play the drums but I don't think I have the coordination. Nice socks, by the way.
Is it possible to buy this book at e-book form?
Thank you
I wonder why, when he's doing rim shots, he hits so much *harder* ? I thought it was a bit weird at 7:50 (since we were trying to compare tone which is made nearly impossible by the wild variance in velocity)... No big deal since it was just a little comparison thing.
But then we he actually started _playing _ at 8:25 , he was still hitting those rim shots twice as hard as the other a snare hits.
Is this required for some reason??
Useful!
