We are asked to activate our cards, but we are not given enough information on how to do this. When I insert the card into the computer and want to activate it, I encounter a lot of problems. It gives a Kernel 32 system error.

Unfortunately I have no idea what that error means.

Man this video explains so much. I have the Navionics+ card for the southeast that is a little over a year old. I’ve noticed that my Navionics app on my phone iPhone shows way more than my Lowrance w the card in certain bodies of water. Does this mean I need a subscription and update my card in the Lowrance? According to your video I would say yes but just wanted to ask you to be sure? Thanks again and new subscriber!!

Been my experience that when the subscription ends you no longer have GPS

Are you saying that once my subscription expires I can no longer use Auto Guidance routing? I was told the only thing I lose is updates to the cartography. No functionality would be lost

You lose all the extra features, all you keep is base maps

@@B-DINO I thought I was told by them that only lose map updates.

@@BillSmithBSartist It depends on what subscription you have/had and what features are already included. You'll keep your maps because that's what you purchased on the card but you'll lose all overlays. For isstance; if you were subscribed to Navionics Vision+ and stopped paying for a subscription you'd lose Detailed Charts, 1' contours, daily updates, Auto guidance, depth range shading, dynamic lake level, raster cartography, high resolution relief shading, satellite imagery, sonar imagery, aerial photography, side scan images, 3d fish eye view, and 3D marinereye view. So you keep your maps but you have next to no overlays or features left to use on those maps. So if you don't plan to pay for a subscription yearly then it's much smarter to just go with a Humminbird with a Lakemaster card with Smartstrike. You'll be left with more for less at the end of the day. I have both units, Garmin and Humminbird on different boats. Lakemaster is plug and play, Garmin is not whatsoever, and then you have to pay yearly for the extra headache. If Garmin stopped trying to suck every dime out the customers then I'd recommend Garmin.
