Congratulations on 20K subs man. You deserve it. I don't watch all your videos but when you cover classic bands like ELO, I am there every time. Yes, Jeff Lynne is the composer, lead singer and lead guitarist. He is a clever and creative musician.
This warms my heart to see such a young man smiling while listening to the music of my teenage years! Thats how we felt when this music first came out in the 70's. ELO was such a huge part of the 70's. That's why the crowd is older and singing every word. I really like your channel and i wish you the best. ✌️❤️
Kudos to you Sir. The Electric Light Orchestra has been my go to band since the mid 1970s joined now by another phenomenal symphonic metal band called Nightwish with Floor Jansen who up until 2 years ago I had not heard of. Both phenomenal bands with a huge catalogue of superb music. 🙏😊👍❤️
Wait till you get to their concept album, Time. Their first song 'Twilight' starts it off with a bang. It's one of my favourite albums of all time! You'll love it!
Jeff Lynne is just remarkable, writing all the songs/singer/guitarist - you name it, he really is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! The whole band are just a one off!! Love all the songs here in Wembley. I lived in the UK then, in my 20's & sadly missed the chance on seeing Jeff & the gang 😒🥰🥰
I’m sooo proud of you young man!! Loveee watching you enjoy this!! You are really doing great! Congrats on your subs!🙌🙌🙌🙌 Pleaseeee do mr blue sky next!! Such a killer tune! Thank you for playing them They just announced their final tour I think yesterday and I am going to be there!!
Love this banger! I think that you'd like "Can't Get It Out Of My Head" John Lennon has been quoted as saying that ELO sounds like The Beatles would have sounded, if they had stayed together. I've only noticed it as I have gotten older but The Beatles influence on ELO is undeniable. ❤
And then later Jeff Lynne made music with his friend George Harrison (and Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison) in the Traveling WIllburys, around 1988.
Jeff Lynne (who comes from my home City of Birmingham, UK) is a great musician and producer. E.L.O. have loads of fantastic songs and they sound just as good live as they do on the studio versions. He was still performing concerts just before the pandemic at the age of 70+. My favourite song is 'All Over the World' of which there are many flash mob videos of this on YT. It is a really happy song. Jeff was also in a super group called the 'Travelling Wilburys' alongside George Harrison (The Beatles), Roy Orbison, Tom Petty and Bob Dylan. Their most famous songs are 'End of the Line' and 'Handle with Care'.
🦋🦋🦋 Congratulations on 20,0000 subs!!! An outstanding achievement. And it will continue to grow, well deserved. Blessings to you! That being said, a couple of days ago, my brother scored us and our significant others, tickets to ELO in Chicago in September! I am so excited I can barely contain myself!! (Insert appropriate girly screaming here...) The next 6 months are going to be like a kid waiting for Christmas!!!! Woohoo!!!!❤❤❤❤ 3
One of my fave concerts was ELO in Memphis back in the day. They were great. I think their first hit was a cover of Chuck Berry's Roll Over Beethoven. Both versions are great❤
Jeff Lynne is ELO. Not to take anything away from Bev Bevan, Richard Tandy and the rest of course. The signature sound of ELO is their strings. ELO has a solid discography from their fourth album, Eldorado in 1974 up to Time in 1981. Their is no other band that I listen to that I can play their albums, Eldorado, Face The Music, A New World Record, Out Of The Blue, Discovery and Time straight through. Add Ole ELO, their greatest hits album from 1976 that covers their first three albums and you have a solid record collection of over 70 songs that really highlight how versatile and creative Jeff Lynne is. I'll throw in Rock 'n' Roll Is King and Loser Gone Wild to round things out. The 70s was really a creative time for rock music. It will take you 120 years to get through it all. Great start though with ELO.
You are going through my youth and thanks for that. If you want a party song from them try all over the world. But be careful you may start humming it in random places. Haha
You can't go wrong with Jeff Lynne... a prolific genius. All those 'oldies' like me, can't be wrong! Mitchell below is right. Try 'Mr Blue Sky', That'll get you going.
Jeff Lynne basically is ELO. He writes the songs and is the singer. I left you a list of the best ELO songs the last time you reacted to them. So I won't leave you another list other than to say the obvious next one to do is Livin' Thing. There's a good live video of that to use. There's an orchestra that plays along with the rock musicians, and it starts with a violin solo. Another interesting song that also has a good live video to use is Rockaria. It starts with an opera singer solo. The way Jeff Lynne combines rock musicians and orchestra musicians is a big part of his genius.
Such a great vibe. Here for it❤ Don't bring me down has to be next❤ Congratulations on 20,000 subs I've been here since the beginning of your journey. It's been a pleasure watching you react to some of my favorite songs ❤
It's ironic you would upload ELO and the Beatles' 'Eleanor Rigby' on the same day. I believe 'Eleanor Rigby' was the inspiration for the original incarnation of the Electric Light Orchestra with Roy Wood. After Roy Wood left the band, Jeff Lynne took ELO in a new, more palatable direction....'Evil Woman' being a direct result of that. I'm so glad you appreciate what you're hearing.
Not bad for "grandpa" music eh? The genius of ELO is that's it's a bluesey rock band that blends in the "classic" instruments to add depth and breadth to the standard guitar/piano/synth rock sound. Almost any of their songs are worth a listen and will put a smile on your face. Alongside them was Chicago, another group that blended non typical instruments for a wonderful soundscape that just makes you smile. Keep up your musical education. It's hard to go wrong with anything from the '70s and '80s.
This is Jeff lynne's modern day come back tour-version. (Not original band members.) I would suggest going back to the 70s/80s - music videos /concert footage. That's ELO - members inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame... Different vibe. ; )
This is just ELO's singer on his own. It's best to listen to the original studio recording along with its official video. Far far better. I know you'll LOVE Mr Blue Sky, Livin Thing, Turn To Stone, The Diary of Horace Wimp. But as I said, make sure it's the original studio version and not a much later live recording.
elo r very gd 2 me, yeah jef still going, as u know such variety in composition, styles, experimentation, lots hits, in v 70s, try showdown, yeah chellos, ticket to v moon, living thing, twilight, last train to london, mr blue sky, dont let me down, rockaria, strange magic, 2 get an idea of ver variety,

ELO's 'Mr. Blue Sky' was voted the "Happiest Song" ever written. Listen and you will be smiling all day!

My fave!!!

Last train to London is my favourite
I often caught that train in my youth
Really nostalgic song
Respect from the UK. Your responses to the music you are hearing is ultra genuine and entertaining ✌️✌️❤️
Wait till you get to their concept album, Time. Their first song 'Twilight' starts it off with a bang. It's one of my favourite albums of all time! You'll love it!
Agree 100%.I loved "Time" when it first came out and still 🙏😊👍❤️
ELO rules!
ANOTHER GREAT reaction brother! Gotta love Jeff Lynne and ELO! CONGRATS on 20K !!!!!!!!!!!!
Great listening with ELO, British group, Jeff Lynne sounds a little like Paul McCartney from the Beatles. I love every song!👍👏👏👏💜
See how happy it’s made us all❤✌🏼

Jeff Lynne's ELO is coming to an arena near you THIS YEAR! Tickets for the Over and Out Tour are on sale now!
🔥
Congratulations on 20k!!!!!
The lead singer, Jeff Lynne has such an integral connection with the Beatles, some call him a behind the scene Beatle.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
ELO's stage use to be a spaceship that opened to reveal the band inside.
