I watched this video about about 6 months ago, and Im watching it again. I thought this is a great way to wash a weave and lets the client know you really care about their hair underneath. I got myself an iron comb the very next day and let me tell you...when I used it on my first client of the day, I thought she was going to need a moment by herself if you know what I mean. The noises she was making from me really getting to her scalp with that comb, I had to tell her to shush! My clients absolute love the new way I wash their weave. They always remind me to bring my special comb to the shampoo bowl. And because they are so relaxed afterwards, my tips have increased.. So thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I am so glad I found your videos ! I’ve been natural for 2 years and have noticed barely any growth so I started doing sew ins again and noticed some growth but not very much !! This wash and hair treatment routine you showed is $65 at my hair salon and now I can do it at home !! Insha’Allah I truly thank you my sister !
I loved the videos on washing your sew-in as well as giving yourself a hot oil treatment with a sew-in. No one has ever told me how to care for my hair under a sew-in. This is helpful information. Thanks for the tutorials. I love it.
Thank you for this very informative video. I have worn weaves and never had a stylist take such care to protect my own hair. As a result I experienced breakage. I am wearing weaves once again but this time I am going to do it right by following your routine. Thanks again.
Your two videos on caring for hair & the sew in are so helpful. Great tips & I'm so glad I came across them. I am new to wearing sew ins & you've been a great help. LOVE your accent BTW ❤
This video was so professionally done, I really appreciated that. Couple of questions: 1. For someone who lives in hit, humid weather and works out (sweats heavily) every day, how often would you recommend washing? 2. What hair are YOU wearing?
Omg! Thank you for this video! I can’t wait to wash my hair now. This is my first sew in and I’m telling you it was about to come out!! Thank you thank you thank you!!! 🤗
Thank you, this is a very well done video. I did not understand your answer regarding air drying the sew in weave after washing. Can you re-write it. Thanks
OMG I need to go back home to louisiana and get my hair slayed asap!!!! I love this salon!!!! I use to drive all the way from baton rouge to get my hair done there before going to college. love love love your videos!!!!!!! 👏👏👏👏😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you so much for your tips. Let me tell you a lot of stylist tell you how to protect the style and not the hair underneath. I brought a tea tree shampoo and added some water in a squirt bottle. Thank you again.
Hi, this video was great thanks! I was thinking about getting a sew in for the first time and sice you care about the health of the hair I was wondering if you recommend sew in caps or just getting installations to your real hair?
cancersurvior2012 I already did. It went good, the type of blow dryer I have is the comb one & it did really good. My braids were completely dry underneath
Your a gift from god I'm getting my first sew in in a few months and this really helped me I was so nervous till I wanted this ps do you have any advise on washing your weave if you have a lace closure
quick questions: how long was she under the dryer for? what leave-in spray did you use on her hair? and could you show us how you do a traditional sew-in?
Thanks for making this video. I always wondered how weaves were washed because I thought the whole thing needed to be taken out to wash. Interesting video
Man look I sweah she had bun a geechee girl! I keep forgetting how closely our accents mimic each other's. Charleston, SC Gullah! This video was perfect!!!!! Ty!
When she bend the comb I thought she was gonna break it. I was like what in the world why you about to break it then until she said you can bend the comb I was oh ok lol
I have a question , I got new extensions after the first wash they feel almost like dry and tangle . What would you recommend to washing clip in hair extensions
I just got my first sew in yesterday. My stylist told me not to do anything to my hair if I want it to grow. But I'm not sure I believe her. Can you give me some tips? I have a sew in with virgin hair. How often should I wash it? Do I wash the virgin hair or just the scalp? How do I moisturize the hair underneath? And how do I avoid mildew?
Your stylist gave you poor advice 😞 Not washing, conditioning or moisturizing your hair underneath the sew in is the fastest way to lose hair. Your hair will grow of course, but when the sew in comes out you'll excessive hair shedding. Washing and conditioning your hair as demonstrated in the video is a great way to retain length. It's also important to lock in the moisture ( research loc method for hair extensions). Stock up on applicator bottles for easier maintenance. Also there are salons that will manage the process for you. Hope this helps!!
I miss stylists like this! Authentic and actually knows about hair. It was so refreshing to see a traditional sew in too. Excellent work.
yessss

Can someone answer this for me.. If I wash my sew in and the hair is wet underneath could I use a hair dryer to dry just the hair underneath?
Zaria Willis yes
Zaria Willis no mam. You will have to sit under a hooded dryer.
Zaria Willis no you shouldn't use a blowdyer because it would not get through those braids.
cancersurvior2012 I already did. It went good, the type of blow dryer I have is the comb one & it did really good. My braids were completely dry underneath

Will your braids slip? I would like to try this technique.
quick questions: how long was she under the dryer for? what leave-in spray did you use on her hair? and could you show us how you do a traditional sew-in?
I normally tell people sit for and hour or two, depending on the length and thickness of their real hair

Meanwhile I’m sitting this salon chair with a itchy scalp.
