    Is softened water something you buy? Did the hair smell? I was told that when getting water on weave it’s best to thoroughly dry it to prevent mould. Just looking for ways to best maintain mine. Thanks!

    I noticed you don’t use a hair net. Is there any reason you prefer not to

    • @cocaknotz
      @cocaknotz  8 місяців тому +4

      She doesn’t need them , you don’t need nets to make a sew in last longer , I only use it , if the person has thin , fine hair or bald spots, weak hair or very short hair or European textures, or if they simply request it , but most people don’t need it and it will still last months

      Those are sewing nippers. They have smaller ones that are more precise as wells

    I'm genuinely curious, why not just wear your natural hair?

      Real hair specifically our hair is very sensitive, it takes more maintenance, you have to worry about environmental damage that using a weave can protect you from.

      I am wondering the same thing.

      @@Roses-Peonies Weave could be better cleaned and cared for. UNACCEPTABLE. When we see this level of MUCK on the heads of the homeless and the mental Street people WE cringe. Yet these normal people are walking around with these catastrophically filthy heads under porche hairstyles. Imagine lying down every night with that kind of dirt next to you or doing pillow talk to that head!!!!

      Because we’ve been marketed some bs about how our hair is “unmanageable” or “ugly”. Family members and the culture normalize it and push it.
      I’m watching to see just how intense it is and naaaaaah. My curls are great. I’d braid them to keep them protected, but all this? From my vantage point, it seems suspiciously like conks. Another burden keeping black women poor.
      If you have the funds and like the style, it’s one thing, but the constant underlying messages surrounding natural hair indicate that the preference isn’t made in a vacuum.
