      @Glady Started slowly, got better at the drills, as I did them daily. After 30 days I had increased the number of reps and added other drills. In April 2021 Covid restrictions were eased and my club reopened. I continue to do my drill routines on my non playing days. It helped me maintain my conditioning during lock down and helped to prevent injuries.

    • @Bgbadminton

      As many reps of good form as you can in 40 seconds. So basically 40 seconds do as many as you can, rest for 20 seconds, move on to the next exercise and do 40 seconds as many as you can, rest for 20, and repeat

    • @Bgbadminton
      @Bgbadminton  4 роки тому +2

      Hey Valli, firstly, you must definitely warm-up otherwise it's VERY easy to get injured during speed drills.
      Secondly, it's not good because in order to get very good performance, it's important to build a strong fitness base, then work towards developing strength, and achieve faster speeds and performance. Think of it as a pyramid, working only on the topic makes it impossible to build a tall pyramid.
      Although I have to admit, for most of my youth I was training speed-endurance type exercises and I still managed to clinch an age group title. So if you must train ONLY speed exercises, make them longer, like over 40seconds to 2 minute type of sets instead of really short exercises. Hope this clarifies things!
