Thanks for joining us! We are Jason and Ed, and we are The Traveling Husbands! We are huge Disney fans and recently relocated back to the Valley of the Sun from the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Before Hawaii, we lived in the center of the magic that Orlando, FL has to offer from Disney, to Universal Studios and beyond! Living in the Southwest, we frequently visit Disneyland in California and a variety of destinations from Los Angeles to San Diego. For our honeymoon, we even got to spend a week at the Tokyo Disney Resort. WOW was it amazing! We stayed at 3 out of the 4 hotels on property, including the Hotel Miracosta, where our room was actually inside of DisneySea... we got to watch Fantasmic from our hotel room! And that was simply the beginning to our adventures around Japan.
In addition to Disney trips, we have spent time in Europe. Ed studied for a month in central Paris and both of us spent a month researching and sightseeing in a small village in Southwest Germany. We have also been to London, Zurich, Alsace, and Barcelona.
The Hawaiian Islands, especially the Kona district of the Big Island hold a special place in our hearts. And it isn’t only because that's where we got married! We both grew up in the Northeast and took many family trips throughout New England, the Mid-Atlantic states, and up to Canada.
Together, we recently (and again) lived in Phoenix, Arizona, which gave us opportunities to explore the west coast, including many trips to Southern California.

Thank you! The HoJo team did a great job renovating this resort, and it looked like they were working on the next bundle of rooms in the low rise buildings. We LOVE it, and the team there is so awesome too.

It’s a great hotel! Every time we go, it’s our place unless we get a DVC room at The Grand. HoJo is our Anaheim home!

Of course! We are extra careful, always masked and now both have a booster as well.
We stayed there years ago. Not a bad place. I used to love to stay at the Carousel. But Disney bought it because that's where the Skyliner was supposed to go. So that's the end of that. Lol. Not a bad idea to book there next trip. Thanks for showing us around!

We stayed there once with a fireworks view of the parks. Lucky for us, they were running the trolleys when we visited.
Did you eat at Mimi's on your way to the parks?
We are at Mimi’s on our first stay (twice - takeout). But when we went back for Halloween, we had to save room for the special park treats! Haha
Oh, and the Anaheim resort area transit (ART) is still running all of the busses. Disney just hasn’t resumed the monorail yet or the trams from the parking decks. So it is all by foot.
It’s closer then the parking structure but you still used UBER 🤦🏻♀️
Yes, we did. After Ed’s surgery and treatment, he had a loss of vision and sensory issues as a result. Sometimes Harbor Boulevard can be overwhelming and therefore dangerous to him. At those times, we choose to Uber and support the drivers working around the resort area.
