10 to 15 minute walk to Disney is a great distance!! Always great to hear that the staff are great. Oh no, the wasps on the balcony! Awesome the front desk sent maintenance up right away to take care of it. That's great. Love the mickey touch to the room. Nice the room is renovated. So nice the pillows and mattress topper is extra comfy. Glad to hear you had no hallway noise and sound proofing in general. Amazing tour as always you guys :)
Hojo is one has one of the most comfortable beds and pillows in the area. We always get a great night sleep at the hotel. Thank you so much for watching!
@@cdthompsonmusic thank you so much for the kind words! We are so happy the video was useful. Please reach out if you think of any questions and thank you for watching ☺️
For me, the best thing about that HoJo is that it is very important architecturally - a true midcentury modern design that the hotel operators have embraced and not destroyed over the years. It truly brings you into the Disneyland opening era even before you get to the park. I especially love the outer 2-level room buildings since the upper floor rooms have the sloped midcentury modern ceiling.
We agree! We love that they have leaned into the mid century vibe instead of trying to change it. Would absolutely love to stay in the House of the Retro Future suite someday! All of our furniture in our house is mid century! It’s our favorite. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. ☺️
I much prefer a hotel over a motel so that’s a huge bonus for me. It’s definitely a more expensive option but to be this close to Disneyland is worth it. Good to know that noise isn’t an issue, that would be a concern. Great review 👍
Crystal has stayed in non-renovated rooms but I have not. She said the rooms are still decent, one day we will stay in one of those rooms. It is a bit harder for us since the beds are doubles and we usually go with our kids.
This is great! I've seen a lot of vloggers that rave about this HOJO. Noise is my #1 issue with any hotel. I'm still planning on where I'm staying on my first DLR visit and the hotel choice is what I am stressing out about. I've been watching your videos since 2020 and love what you do. Thanks!! So many Harbor hotels are crazy expensive & I don't want to pay $1,000's for a bad/mediocore stay.
Thank you for being a long time viewer, we really appreciate it. Noise is always a tough one, especially in the Disney area. The noise from the road and freeways can be loud. The two of us would suggest looking at booking one of the hotels in the area over motels. If you need any advice, we are always here to help you with your decision. We are hoping/thinking that hotel prices will start coming down in the coming months. We are starting to see a lot of discounts in the area.
Another great clip Guys Phil in Sydney look forward to getting back this year or next year early if possible.Question do you have to use the Genie App for rides as many have said they have had problems and not happy with the App at all.Universal Studios is great once you pay off you go which is better.
Thank you! You do not have to use the Disneyland/Genie app if you do not want to. We do recommend purchasing Genie+ if you are going to have limited time in the park. We usually get everything we want to get done if we pick up Genie+. Some of the standby lines can be much longer than the stated wait times if a flood of Genie+ people come in. We have mainly experienced longer than stated wait times at Space Mountain, but have experienced it elsewhere in the park. If you head out next year, It looks like Disney might be throwing a big celebration for Disneyland's 70th birthday.
Great review as usual. Most importantly hope that Jim's knee is healing up ! One of the big points that has me leaning so heavily on this as my stay when I return is that it isn't a motel style. Just not a fan of those in this day and age. Wanting to get the Disneyland view rooms, is there a specific room number or floor you can request? That on site store sounds even better, alcohol you say?
Thanks! My knee is getting so much better. I was just commenting how much better it has been feeling in the last 4 weeks. I am finally able to exercise more and been losing weight. I still have about 4 more months before I am cleared for normal activity. Thanks for checking in! As for the hotel, we booked a building 1 view room. I would request a higher room. We usually put in a request to be further away from the elevator. I don’t remember our exact room number but we were about 3-4 doors from the elevator. A view room should get you on a higher floor, offhand we have always been on floors 4-6 for view rooms. We actually didn’t buy alcohol downstairs as we weren’t sure they carried anything so we picked it up at the Cove which is at the Tropicana. We had a couple of beers and enjoyed the fireworks one night!
@@AnaheimParkTourist Great news about the knee! Getting rid of that additional weight will help for sure Appreciate the heads up on the rooms. On my 'rest day' in November I plan on having a little walk on Harbor to see the properties in person.
I absolutely destroyed my knee and then did my best to avoid surgery. Before the injury I would run 5-6 miles a day. Because I avoided surgery for so many years, I almost needed a knee replacement. Crystal insisted I see the doctor when I turned my head to my left to talk to her which caused my knee to pop out of place. That is always the best thing to do is check everything out in person. We thought about making a video like that but not sure there would have been interest. Walking around will give you the feel for the different places.
@@AnaheimParkTourist I have a family member with bad knees. But yet is off to the World in 3 1/2 weeks. When looking at videos a bathtub is high up on my list of amenities. During my afternoon break, sit in a hot bath, soak my legs and body. I think I've watched every video out there on the DVC Disneyland rooms, but won't have my own experience until I open that door. Visiting and vibing with a place is great when you can do it. That's why I'm doing that now, putting together a small list for my trip.
Wonderful tour and review. Always looking for good hotel choices close to Disneyland. This one looks like a really a fantastic option. Great to see.

Thank you! We do prefer hotels over motels too. HoJo is one of our favorites when it is in our budget. We have always had a good stay.
We were in a non-renovated room when we stayed about 2 years ago and I would still give the HOJO another shot!

I have to say that I am impressed with this HoJo. Most of these hotels dont look like this. HAHA. Super cool to see. LIKE 8👍👍👍
Thank you!
