    This color, this DC-design especially with new pickguard design and overall the whole guitar remind me of Brian May`s Red Special a lot!

    I just ordered one - incredible deal at GC for $599 - amazing value for the money!!! Totally agree with your comments you put P90's in any guitar and it's suddenly cool - couldn't agree more with that.

      @@AndyHillier I am really enjoying it a lot now that my guitar tech has set it up. I sanded down the fret sprout, he fixed the grooves in the nut, and he filed a high fret that caused some buzzing. Now it's just great. Yes, I love the neck and especially the sound of the pickups and the guitar has great sustain! Overall it's fun to play and has great tones. I got mine at Guitar Center for $599 so I didn't mind paying for some of the setup stuff. You are right these are great guitars and it reminds me of both a Telecaster and an SG.

    After watching this video I went with cash in hand to buy one at a prominent guitar shop in Australia. Sadly I came away empty handed after trying every Special and Junior in the store. Every single one had fret sprout to the extent I could not ignore. Even the staff said "Yeah it is bad" and offered to get the problem fixed if I paid for it. Not surprisingly I declined their offer and disappointingly made my way home. Even the Epiphones are better quality than this and they are made in China.

    • @AndyHillier
      @AndyHillier  3 роки тому

      That’s bad. My was not too bad but not perfect. The fret work was good but it did have a slight overhang on the fretboard. It is bizarre that epiphone can get their guitars perfect for a lot less money.
