I have the Uniarch camera Uho-P1A-M3F4D, also the product of uniview. Can I connect it to UNV NVR through PoE and use the pan/tilt feature through in Ezview?
Hi, thanks for the tutorial, We have UNV NVR with HIKVISION camera and it just working great, the only probleme I found is that time can't be adjusted, for exemple The NVR time and date are 2023/12/31 15:20 but the camera shows 1970.. 07:15 for exemple.. any solution please ?
Login to your Hikvision camera through the local IP address. Navigate to Configuration -> System -> System Settings and choose "Manual Time Sync". Then, tick the box to sync with your computer's time. This will set the Hikvision's time to the same as your computer. That should solve your issue.
No, the Ubiquiti Dream Machine does not work with third-party cameras. That's why we recommend Uniview - they support ONVIF and can work with any brand including Hikvision.
Hi, What 8PM camera would you recommend if I go with a Uniview NVR. Should I go with a Uniview camera or going with any other 3th party 8MP will work just the same. Thanks in advance
I would suggest going with a Uniview camera. The camera we suggest is either IPC3618SR3-ADF28KM-G if you want standard IR, or IPC3638SE-ADF28K-WL-I0 if you'd like a ColorHunter with white light. When paired with a Uniview NVR, you get access to useful features such as Smart Intrusion Prevention, one-click firmware upgrades, and Uniview's U-code compression which can help save storage space.
@@xlrsecurity got it. Thanks so much. I was thinking of using hikvision colorvu as they are much cheaper. The question was tho of I'll loose any functionality.
I have a Uniview NVR302-08S-P8 with 7 cameras. I want to update my cameras. I have bought a Reolink RLC-811A-4K Smart PoE Camera and plggued it into the 8th input in the back of the NVR. It doesnt seem to be detecting it on my NVR when I go into the NVR settings. It shows a Camera 8 with the same Subnet as the other existing cameras, but I think that was already there. When I go into the Setup, Camera, Camera, Advanced tab it only shows my existing 7 cameras. Any idea what might be happening or why this isnt detecting my new camera?
When I check the POE Port Status it shows the first 7 ports as between 2-2.50W. The 8th Port (where I have the Reolink Camera plugged in) is showing around 7.30W Not sure why the big difference and if this means anything??? I am illiterate with these things.
@@macy5173 Download EZTools 2.0, plug your laptop into the back of the UNV NVR, and look for the IP address of your Reolink camera. Camera 8 in the Uniview NVR is set to 172.16.0.108 by default but it does not mean your Reolink camera has been added. You need to find which IP address the Reolink has and change it to 172.16.0.xx to match with the other cameras on the PoE ports. Hopefully that helps point you in the right direction. Basically you need to find your Reolink camera's IP address from EZTools 2.0 and change it to 172.16.0.xx and then enter the IP, username, and password in the UNV NVR.
@@xlrsecurity EZTools would not find my Reolink Camera. I plugged it straight into my network (not via NVR) and then ran the Reolink Web app, changed the IP and Gateway. Then plugged it back into my NVR and tried again, changing the settings in the NVR web page. Still no luck. It wont connect the camera.
Hey buddy I’m tryin to add a 8Mp Hikvision camera to a UNV NVR that supports up to 8 MP resolution and it’s saying that my user name or password is incorrect. I tried everything ( Ilegal login, checked Onvif) and still not working any idea ?
Try defaulting the Hikvision 8MP camera (not factory default, just the regular default) and see if it works. I've seen that issue sometimes, where it needs a quick default before it accepts the username and password.
Hi Jiten, have you tried viewing the cameras through the EZView app, or using the EZStation 3.0 software on PC? After adding the camera to the Uniview NVR, you should be able to see it using either the app or the desktop software. If you still have trouble, you may try calling your local Uniview or Hikvision office for help.
To add a Uniview camera to a third-party NVR, you'll need to add it via IP address. Modify the Uniview camera's IP address so the cam and NVR are in the same network. Then, login to the NVR and add the camera via IP address. Use the ONVIF protocol, and it should work.
Hello if i have a Reolink NVR can i do the same to connect a third-party camera?

Is RTSP protocol is working with UNV Nvr
Yes, RTSP works with Uniview NVRs. You can add basically any camera as long as it outputs an RTSP stream.
Hello, what is the cable used to connect laptop to nvr? Is it rj45 connections on both ends?
Yes, it's a standard ethernet cable with an RJ45 connection on both ends.
Great tutorial.Thank you!

Hi XLR Security, please will the UNIVIEW NVR work with my Bosch IP camera?
Yes, a Uniview NVR should work with your Bosch IP camera. You'll need to make sure the Bosch camera supports ONVIF, but I expect that it will.

Cctv beginner. How to add uniview ip cam to a no name xvr/nvr?
To add a Uniview camera to a third-party NVR, you'll need to add it via IP address. Modify the Uniview camera's IP address so the cam and NVR are in the same network. Then, login to the NVR and add the camera via IP address. Use the ONVIF protocol, and it should work.
Excellent!! 💯
How about Dahua ptz camera
Yes, it works with Dahua PTZ cameras as well.
