- During a debate on The J&K Reservation (Amend) & J&K Reorganisation (Amend) Bill, 2023 introduced by Hon. Home Minister of India Amit Shah, a DMK MP M. Muhammad Abdullah quoted E.V. Ramasamy which triggered a fiery debate in the Upper House. Reactions were exchanged from FM Nirmala Sitharaman, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and VP Jagdeep Dhankhar. Jagdeep Dhankhar vehemently opposed the statements made the DMK MP which made him agitated in the Rajya Sabha.
