In their anger to oppose they forgot the right to legislate and surrender it to SC. SC interprets consitution. not constuct I.e makes laws. It's prerogative of legislature whether assembly or parliament to make laws.

Surgewala perhaps, recollecting what Congress did till 2014 in appointing election commissioner.
Supreme court has forgotten the fact that until Seshan assumed the post nobody knows what an election commissioner can do.
Even now that is the position. It's not who appointed whom, but how one is justifying his position for the benefit of Public and justice matters most.
Congress has not put in place the rules but the Constituent assembly. So if something Congress has done is bad should BJP do the same. The CEC could be appointed without Opp. Leader. Why they need leadet of opposition just to endorse the decision!!!

For all those who are wondering why person on chair is debating with MP's please read below :
When MP aren't educated enough to what to speak, what to quote as per the guidelines/ Regulation of the parliament, than it's core responsibility and duty for person on chair to make sure that nothing inappropriate thing happens, moreover if the debate is happening for A and opposition is talking about B, than how parliament can work.
It's core responsibility of him to make sure that debate is at level and debate makes some sense.
The person on the Chair is not a good adjudicator.

Mr.Rajeev Gandhi once had told that he was answerable only to the Parliament and that Parliament was Supreme and not the Supreme Court. Honorable M P either forgot or not aware of or deliberately not aware so as to argue against BJP Government in the Parliament.

Just like all tyres of car are important and needs to be in good shape, similarly all pillars of democracy needs to be given importance and strengthened so that they can function properly.
Honarable speaker mentioned that parliament is supreme but it has so many problems which it is not able to resolve by itself. For example
1. Compare the number of hours it functions against other nations
2. Check the number of MP with criminal records
3. Observe the increase in wealth of elected members within few years election
4. There is too much opacity about how tickets are issued to contest elections. I wish the interview process is telecasted live.
5. How much money is spent in the whole process by each member. Not sure if it is ever audited.
6. Horse trading is another issue altogether
Ordinary citizens can't do anything about it and netas don't have will to do it.
