The best and easiest way to stretch your quad is to just use your couch or bed. Put the top of your foot on the couch and bring your bent knee to the ground right next to the couch while you're leaning forward. Now start leaning back so that you're working to be upright. Go slow. Eventually you can get your heel to touch your butt.

I hope this helps with my sore right quad. I tried playing softball for the first time and slipped on wet grass and felt a tugging in my quad and it has been sore ever since.

Hi - I'm in pretty decent shape and I can't do a standing quad stretch. I'm 69 years old. Do you know how quads become so tight? Besides old age😊
Sitting way too much... it's a problem with our society. We sit way too much, especially compared with our ancestors.
The way we sit also, in chairs, is a contributor.
More standing and moving, changing up positions often.
Yoga has been a game changer for me too.

Technically you can't stretch your quads. only the rectus femoris can be since it crosses the hip and knee joints. . the other three muscles can not.
stretching the quads is the last thing you Can Do.
A better fix:
1/ release trigger points
2/ strengthen the quads
3/ use core exercices.planks. bird dog. dead bug.
4/ strerching as a tool. Hint you Can Do more harm than good especially if you were injured or the muscle was too weak
