+Samuel & Audrey I would definitely recommend my hometown Thessaloniki (and Chalkidiki recommended for summer), second biggest city in Greece, Ioannina which is beautiful with Zagori up north for hiking and nice villages and Vikos Gorge (deepest in the world) and Ancient Theatre of Dodoni on the south , Elati which is not far from Meteora, Pelion with its beautiful villages. There are a lot more, and places I've yet to visit like Delphi and Mycynae and Pelloponhsos in general.
Great vlog, thanks. We were there just recently (early July, 2018). Loved it. Stayed in the small village of Kastraki, in a BnB that had killer views of the rocks. Hired a car for two days and saw all the monasteries under sunny blue skies. Went inside Valaarm and Grand Meteroan - highly recommended. We loved the freedom of the car, and drove to Eagles Nest Restaurant on the mountain top. I'm into animals and we even saw some wildlife (two tortoises, plus some white storks nesting on top of a Byzantine church in Kalamabaka). We caught the train to the area from Athens (5hrs each way).
You guys are great! I've seen many of your videos. So glad you liked Meteora. I live in a city close to meteora, Volos. You really need to visit Pelion though. The mountain of centaurs! Portaria, Makrinitsa. Really beautiful places. Again, great video!
Great trip and amazing video! Thank you, Samuel & Audrey! I was in Greece many years ago and we admired monasteries on the mountain and peninsula Mount Athos from a distance from a boat. That day I saw live dolphins for a very first time. They swam next to our boat for a couple of minutes. It was an amazing boat-trip ! :)
+Adriana Ferechova Thank you very much! That's so cool to hear about your experience. We are really keen to visit more of Greece after this recent trip.
+Ritankar Sasmal Thank you! They were all monasteries. We stayed down below but by van it didn't take us long to reach them for those incredible views; however, the hikes were even better because you got vantage points that were totally unique.
Thank you for all your videos! I learn so much from them That's a sad story about the monastery being taken over. Is it still occupied by? Awesome video, you guys are so cute together! :O)
I wish I could put a finger on it, but you look so much like someone else I know. I don't know them personally, but maybe a celeb or something? Know when you can't put a finger on someone but you're certain you "know" or you've seen them before? Something like that :)
+Samuel & Audrey I can see that! It's the dreariness of the sky and abundance of hills that speak the similarities out loud!^^; But I love it a lot! I love that kind of natural, gloomy look!
I've been there as well. That place was awesome, but your pronunciation was driving me nuts. The correct pronunciation is Mete ora, soft E. I can't watch videos on Greece because it makes me miss the country too much.
Thank you for visiting Meteora, there are so many majestic parts of Greece which many people are not aware of because they only visit the islands.
+savvadev Thank you! Where else would you recommend to visit in Greece?

savvadev traveling to Greece in a few weeks and only seeing the mainland! Road trip from Athens to Thessaloniki! ❤️

Thanks! That is awesome to hear. Glad you had great weather and having the mobility and freedom of a car would be ideal in and around Meteora.

Thank you! It is an incredible place to visit.
Meteora means saspended in the sky and it's the plural of the word meteoron. From this word comes the meteorite, meteor etc.

+Ritankar Sasmal Thank you! They were all monasteries. We stayed down below but by van it didn't take us long to reach them for those incredible views; however, the hikes were even better because you got vantage points that were totally unique.
You guys have found Nanda Parbat! I wonder if Ra's Al Ghul was watching you from the inside of that monastery ;)
Thank you for all your videos! I learn so much from them That's a sad story about the monastery being taken over. Is it still occupied by? Awesome video, you guys are so cute together! :O)
+PinkCandiez Thank you! The monks eventually got it back. This particular one has been restored but nobody lives there at the moment.
+Samuel & Audrey Yeah for Happy Endings! :O)
+PinkCandiez Thanks! :)
You look so familiar it's eerie.
+LibertyPrimeV1 Hahaha..in what way?

It is awesome place 🌿🔝💙😍😊
Audrey, is your eye makeup different at the beginning of this clip? I must say it looks a bit exotic (which is nice).
+Bill Green Thank you!
hi, how much was the hiking tour around meteora?
im from greece!!!😹😹
That is cool!
beautiful place. could you please tell me in which city or part of greece this is?!
+therealParisHilton It is northwest of Athens. It is basically smack in the middle of Greece :)
City is call kalabaka
What temperamental weather ... glad you both toughed it out though. This travel business can be real work sometimes! :P
Meteora seems relatively magical!^.^ It kind of reminds me of Ireland:|
Yes! It is incredible. Both Ireland and Meteora have magical scenery :)
+Samuel & Audrey I can see that! It's the dreariness of the sky and abundance of hills that speak the similarities out loud!^^; But I love it a lot! I love that kind of natural, gloomy look!
💙🤸💗

Oh, thanks for letting us know about that.
What is the trail guide name?
Sorry I forget.
rainning must've been annoying for you .it make hard to film and enjoy the trip:(
+The Drunken Bear It wasn't ideal but we still enjoyed our time there. Luckily we had a really nice day just before we left :)
Life Insurance should cover elbow, knee pads and ankles braces, and helmets
