Really looks excellent. Love that Contax Zeiss 28mm on there. Your color grading is beautiful too with nice soft color. Nice work. I would have held that opening shot for 6 seconds instead of 2. It's a wonderful shot.
@@OfTwoLands thank you for making them. I actually found your channel when I was looking for videos shot on the bmpcc. They quickly became one of my favourites on UA-cam. I'm in the process of getting one, the original pocket. Even got a bunch of vintage lenses for it.

I just won a Carl zeiss 25mm 2.8 for 150.00 so cannot wait to get it. Already have a 28, 50 and 85. So happy not to use speedboosters anymore. Except I am eyeing the magic booster when it comes out. Thanks for the footage
I'm using a set of Nikon Nikkors from the 70-80's and they are proving to be my go to lenses with the 6K now. I have to avoid being wide open to get acceptable sharpness on them but other than that it's like they have a Tiffen Black Pro Mist 1/4 filter built into the glass and makes stuff look so unique vs my Sigma Glass.
Of Two Lands Hi! Subbed and thumbed up! Love the channel. I have a little question; which focal length of zeiss lens do you think could be a good option for general run and gun MFT? (A speedbosted 25mm zeiss = 36mm full frame fov I believe. Using a dumb adapter I could also get 50mm! My budget is a bit tricky being a student and amateur cinematographer!)
Love all your work! Question: I live in the USA - if I buy this lens from a seller in Japan, will it still be compatible with my BMPCC 6K Pro I bought here in the states or is it region specific?
No, it's not compatible with a US model body. You'll have to get a Contax lens that was meant for the US market. For one thing, the lens markings will be in Japanese. Secondly, the bayonet of the Contax will lock from right to left, rather than left to right as US versions do. Do the smart thing and make sure body and lens match.
Beautiful video! Im curious are you using a speedbooster with this lens to get closer to the actual 28mm focal length on the BMPCC? There are alot of shots with really good bokeh. If you aren't using a speedbooster I assume you're just really really close to the subject.

it seem there is zero vignetting at full aperture, nice, and thank to S35 sensor size. i use mostly vintage lenses since 2014 : Canon new-fd : 28mm 2.8, old-fd 24mm 2.8, new-fd 50mm 1.4, new-fd 135mm 2.0, new-fd 200mm 1.8. under 24mm, i use modern lenses. I search a 24-25mm, i haved tried many, many, and no one is the one, for me.
I love vintage lenses and I own the FD too, lovely lenses but sometimes flare a bit too much. I really like the look of the Zeiss and that 28mm is great. Just wished it was 24 sometimes haha.
Of Two Lands I'm pretty close to pull the trigger on this lens, is it OK for some wider shots?, I see it can be a 43mm or 46mm depending on which aspect ration you shoot for the 6k. I'm traveling soon and need a prime walk around lens. I'm either between this or another 24mm but this looks great. I’ve used the weebill S in some shots (gear in the description as always).
And happy new year :) !!
@@OfTwoLands oh great! are you able to balance on the weebill s w/ a cage and a SSD? Thank you for teh quick response!
@@TheLostKuma Yes you can, The Weebill S is great with the bmpcc6k, I will put a review out in a few days explaining why and how to use it with the bmpcc6k so stay tuned :).
@@OfTwoLands awesome thank you
it seem there is zero vignetting at full aperture, nice, and thank to S35 sensor size. i use mostly vintage lenses since 2014 : Canon new-fd : 28mm 2.8, old-fd 24mm 2.8, new-fd 50mm 1.4, new-fd 135mm 2.0, new-fd 200mm 1.8. under 24mm, i use modern lenses.
Of Two Lands what about the 25mm?
@@Nvrr0 I have heard good things about it, but quite pricey and apparently can flare quite a bit too which is not what I was after.
I have a weebill s too but I'm going to mainly use my small hd monitor against my body for stable shots. I have the smallhd full tilt arm so it allows me to rest it against my body
Of Two Lands How did you get yours for? I'm seeimg $220 and above, around the same as the 25mm but I read the 25mm isn't great wide open
is the audio from the camera ?
A bit but mostly in post.
Raw 3:1? 12:1? What did you shoot this in?
Prores 422 :)
@@OfTwoLands beautiful
@@underdog_factor Thanks !!
Thoughts on Weebill S vs Ronin S?
The Weebill S is great with the bmpcc6k especially with that lens. I love the form factor more than the Ronon. I will put a review out next week explaining why and how to use it with the bmpcc6k so stay tuned :).
@@OfTwoLands That'd be great! Looking forward to it.
How much is the lens generally?
Hard to tell, depends on condition, version, location, serial. Anywhere from $250 to $600.
What did you shoot? 6k 2:4.1?
Prores UHD
28mm F2 or 2.8?
2.8 :)
Are those lenses mft mount
No, contax mount
Shot in 6K BRAW?
4K prores 422 :)
meanwhile I bought the $450 metabones and the lenses moves around in the mount😬
All that kit for pro res 422. 😢
Eugene Batiste Haha prores 422 is more than capable. I’ve owned 4 Cine cameras that had Raw capabilities and always ended up using Prores.
